Russell Brand was married to Katy Perry from October 2010 to July 2012, and it appears he still holds a special place in his heart for her. During a recent appearance on W Channel's John Bishop: In Conversation With, the 41-year-old comedian reflected on their short-lived marriage, saying that it was difficult to safeguard their relationship from "external influences" because Katy was "obviously very, very occupied and very busy" and that he was "occupied and busy [though] not to the same degree." Despite their split, Russell says, "I still feel very warm towards her." Katy recently dated Orlando Bloom, while Russell is a father to 4-month-old daughter Mabel with partner Laura Gallacher.

Earlier this year, Natalie Portman's gunslinging western "Jane Got A Gun" came and went from theaters. But if you missed it, not only do we have a copy of the movie to help you catch up, but a few more films of female-driven action to make for an exciting quadruple bill of thrills. Directed by Gavin O'Connor, and also featuring Joel Edgerton, Ewan McGregor, Rodrigo Santoro, Noah Emmerich and Boyd Holbrook, the movie centers on Jane Hammond, who has built a life on the rugged western plains with her husband Bill "Ham" Hammond and young daughter. But when Ham stumbles home riddled with bullets after a run-in with the relentless John Bishop and his gang, she knows they will not stop until her family is dead. In desperation, Jane turns to Dan Frost, a man from her past, for help in what becomes a battle for survival. The prize...

A gritty woman’s perspective on tropes of the western genre, a lean action drama that is sparse yet sympathetic, and laconic but simmers with deep emotion. I’m “biast” (pro): desperate for stories about women; love Natalie Portman

Jane got a gun. She also got a movie. Hooray! And not just because women hardly ever get the spotlight in a Western. This particular film suffered a long roller-coaster battle to get made: its original director and a big-name star dropped out along the way; cast was reshuffled. But there’s no hint of behind-the-scenes turmoil in the finished product: this is a lean action drama, laconic but simmering with deep emotion that must stay buried with more pragmatic concerns at the fore.

Natalie Portman plays a tough frontierswoman, Joel Edgerton a resentful loner and Ewan McGregor a notorious outlaw in this moderate adventure

Actually, Jane is demurely reliant on old-fashioned menfolk getting their guns to protect her in this laborious and solemn western, hampered by teaser flashbacks and finally saddled with a ridiculous ending: it showcases a very stately performance from its producer-star, Natalie Portman. The Weinstein Company has released the official Us trailer for director Gavin O'Connor's action western Jane Got a Gun, which stars Natalie Portman. I've been looking forward to seeing this film since it was first announced and it actually looks like it could be a solid movie. I haven't seen Portman in a film since Thor: The Dark World in 2013, so it will be nice to see her back up on the big screen in a strong badass role like this. The movie has a great supporting cast as well that include Ewan McGregor, Joel Edgerton and Noah Emmerich.

Natalie Portman is out for revenge in the nerve-shredding international trailer for Jane Got a Gun.
The Western film is a gritty tale of a gun-toting housewife hellbent on saving the life of her daughter and husband (Noah Emmerich) from the brutal Bishop Boys gang.
Portman is paired with The Gift's Joel Edgerton in chasing down the vile John Bishop (Ewan McGregor) across the desert plains.
Jane Got a Gun is finally heading to the screen, three years after We Need to Talk about Kevin's Lynne Ramsay was first attached to direct.
Ramsay would later leave the project amidst much controversy, with Warrior's Gavin O'Connor stepping in just before production began.
The film will open in Us and UK cinemas early next year.

Before Melissa McCarthy was America's favorite comedy star, she was just a twenty-something in Los Angeles with an agent above a sandwich shop who told her she needed headshots.
She never thought the world would see those photos again – until they did, when McCarthy, 44, stopped by the Graham Norton Show on Friday.
"I literally thought I had the only two hard copied, and when you sent them to me I was like, 'Dear God, they're out there,' " the Spy star told Norton when he asked her to explain what the audience was about to see.

Welcome to the February 26, 2015 edition of Outrage Watch, HitFix's daily rundown of all the things folks are peeved about in entertainment. Today's top story: Madonna's ageist critics get what's coming to them. Wait, are these official "Jane Got a Gun" stills or distant mirages hanging on the horizon of a long and winding road? It’s easy to believe the latter. After original director Lynne Ramsay ("We Need to Talk About Kevin") bailed from the Natalie Portman-led Western on the first day of shooting, producers scrambled to find a replacement, recruiting "Warrior" director Gavin O’Connor to save the day.The switch turned "Jane Got a Gun" became a rotating door for high-profile actors, with Bradley Cooper and Michael Fassbender joining and departing the cast. Ewan McGregor eventually joined Portman and Joel Edgerton as the film’s villain and shooting began late in 2013, only to hit major delays during post-production. Relativity’s release date of August 29, 2014 came and went. A rescheduled February 2015 date found itself bumped again, with the picture now settled in an early September slot. Now, we have photographic...

The reality star told Alan Carr that although he was initially resistant to the idea of sequins, he has quickly learnt to embrace the outfits he wears on the show.
"At first when I met the wardrobe people, I was like, 'I don't want too many sequins. I want to keep it as masculine as I can'," he explained.
