John Bishop was born on May 3, 1929 in Mansfield, Ohio, USA. He was a writer, known for The Package (1989), Drop Zone (1994) and Comedy Zone (1984). He was married to Lisa Bishop. He died on December 20, 2006 in Bad Heilbrunn, Bavaria, Germany.
Father of 3 children, Matthew, Michael and Christopher Bishop.
Started out as an actor in the Clevaland local stage and began
directing in the 1960s.
His first play "The Trip Back Down" was produced on Broadway in 1977
and he subsequently became a resident playwright at New York's Circle
Repertory Company.
Worked for a time at Paramount Studios where helped rework several
scripts, including Beverly Hills Cop III (1994).
