- After graduating from Western Carolina University with a BFA in Theatre, Dean switched gears and played professional football for the Indianapolis Colts where he earned two consecutive all-pro titles and became the leading scorer in Colts history. While playing football, Dean continued studying, this time in New York at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. When asked to perform at the distinguished Indiana Repertory Theatre, Dean played the role of the son in Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author, and Mark Anthony in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
