Last year, New Regency went into production on a horror thriller called Psycho Killer, based on a screenplay written by Se7en scribe Andrew Kevin Walker. Gavin Polone, producer of Zombieland and the Walker-scripted 8Mm, was at the helm of the film, with Georgina Campbell (Barbarian) and Logan Miller (Escape Room) in lead roles and 6’5″+ former professional wrestler James Preston Rogers in the title role. The film has since made its way through post-production, and FilmRatings.com reports that it has officially earned an R rating for strong bloody violence, strong
sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use and language. So this one is sounding quite promising.
Campbell is taking on the role of Jane Thorne, a police officer who makes it her mission to take down a serial killer referred to on the news as the ‘Satanic Slasher,’ following the murder of her state trooper husband.

New Regency is gearing up to go into production on a horror thriller called Psycho Killer, based on a screenplay written by Se7en scribe Andrew Kevin Walker… and if such a project sounds familiar to you, it may be because Psycho Killer has been making its way through development hell for nearly fifteen years. It first hit the news back in early 2009, when Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst was set to direct. Durst had moved on by late 2010, by which time Eli Roth was planning to produce it with Eric Newman, his co-producer on The Last Exorcism. They eventually moved on as well. Gavin Polone, producer of Zombieland and the Walker-scripted 8Mm, signed on to direct the film while Roth and Newman were involved and has held on to the helm ever since. And it looks like he’s going to see it all the way through production. Deadline...

Katie Holmes stars in Brahms: The Boy 2, a sequel to the 2016 Lauren Cohan-headlined horror film.
The Boy arrived in early 2016 as a uniquely interesting horror movie offering, not only because it was headlined by Lauren Cohan, then one of the stars of one of TV’s hottest shows, AMC's The Walking Dead (to which she will soon return), but also because of its unique promotional strategy, which teased it as a haunted house movie; something that, as shocked audiences would discover, it is not. Indeed, while the film provided a profitable $64 million bang for STXfilms’ $10 million budget buck, a sequel – barring something straight-to-dvd – was not expected… until now.
