Nickelodeon stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited on “Saturday Night Live” for a fond reboot of their popular ’90s show.
In a mock documentary, host Keke Palmer’s pregnancy once again came into play as her character claimed she pitched a more dramatic reboot of “Kenan and Kel”—dubbed “Kenan and Kelly,” set at Rigby’s. Palmer’s female version of Kel revealed she was pregnant with Thompson’s child.
“Keke was gunning for an Emmy award,” Thompson said.
Devon Walker enters the scene as Kel’s “Good Burger” character, Ed, only to be shot down for the role before Mitchell enters the scene making a beeline for the orange soda case, as his character often did on the show. Just at that moment, he is shot by James Austin Thompson in a robbery and convulses on the floor.

I'd say there are more than a few black filmmakers working consistently, and simultaneously within, and outside the studio system, that most of us (myself included) aren't aware of. There could be any number of reasons for that, which I won't go into here; but I'd say that Kim Bass falls under that category. Heard of him? Some of you probably have; but I'm sure most have not. He's been in the business since the early 1980s, first as an actor, and then quickly making the move into TV, first producing a series titled True Colors for 2 seasons; then he wrote for In Living Color for 4 seasons, in the early 90s; and then made his feature film writing...

Companies run by Suzanne dePasse and other producers have filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against accounting firm Green Hasson Janks. They allege professional negligence in auditing and calculating profit participation from the TV series Sister, Sister. You can read the suit here. It alleges that between 1992 and 1994, producers Suzanne dePasse, Gary Gilbert, Sy Rosen and Fred Shafferman entered into individual contracts with Paramount to each receive a percentage of adjusted gross profits from Sister, Sister. The four in 2001 jointly hired accounting firm Sills & Adelmann which is now part of Green Hasson Janks to perform audits of studio accounting on their behalf. The participants allege they eventually discovered that a full audit had never been completed even after several years. The four participants claim they have incurred a loss of $5 million or more in profit participation as a result of negligence by the accounting firm. Sister Sister aired on...

I’m going to begin this review with a warning to the three people out there concerned with the entertainment value of the Dtv movie Kill Speed. I guess “spoiler alert!” is the more proper way to convey this information, so consider yourself alerted (and spoiled) if you choose to read on.
Any movie that begins with Tom Arnold (Rosanne, Meet the Stupids, Big Bully, etc.) dying in an exploding trailer can’t be all that bad. Kill Speed happens to be such a movie. It does, indeed, begin with Tom Arnold dying in an exploding trailer — and the movie isn’t all that bad.
The scene in question features Mr. Arnold (playing against type as an obese slob named Rhaynes) cooking up some crystal meth inside a shabby trailer in the desert.

Heather Town, 32, was found dead 200 feet away from her Venus, Florida home, but her daughter AnnMarie, 3, was found alive in her arms. Authorities discovered the young girl after hearing her cries from underneath some debris, and she was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. "When they found her, she was literally holding her baby, her little girl," Kim Bass, a witness, told Fox 13. "They took the little child from her because she was having a hard time breathing and she had barbed wire on her and was in a very dense section of woods." In an interview with Wptv, Heather's father, Elmer Town, explained that the sacrifice Heather made for her daughter was a true testament to how great of a mother she was.
