Gambling School, also known as Kakegurui is a manga series written by Homura Kawamoto and drawn by Tōru Naomura. The story takes place in a prestigious academy attended by wealthy students who have adopted their own hierarchy based on their gambling skills. The manga has been published since March 2014, and there is also an anime adaptation that currently has two seasons (24 episodes), as well as a prequel manga. Kakegurui is one of the more popular series outside the mainstream works, and it seems that the popularity of the series inspired Netflix to produce a live-action series based on the Kakegurui manga and anime. The series will be titled BET and it has been officially announced recently!
To make it clear, BET won’t be a direct live-action adaptation of Kakegurui, so it is not like Cowboy Bebop or One Piece; instead, it will be a standalone live-action series that is...

Getting the role of James Bond is one of the most popular aspirations among actors and a great milestone for those select few who succeed. Pierce Brosnan is widely known as the fifth Agent 007 star who portrayed the iconic superspy in four movies before Daniel Craig took over. With that, Brosnan’s spy career could have ended.
But as Hollywood can’t stop telling us in every espionage-focused movie, there’s no such thing as a retired spy, and Pierce Brosnan is now back in this dangerous game.
Warrior Nun’s Creator Goes Spy Boss
Simon Barry is famous for creating Netflix’s Warrior Nun: an immensely popular TV show that got canceled for no good reason, then saved thanks to fans and turned into movies, making news before turning out to be a complete disaster. Having lost his franchise — again, for no good reason — Simon Barry is ready to move on.

With all the questions surrounding the next James Bond, Pierce Brosnan has given all of the two cents that he could. He’s dusted off inquiries and given his advice to the possible next actor, straight from his own experience of filling in the tux of the famous Ian Fleming 007 agent. While rumors still run rampant about Aaron Taylor-Johnson being courted for the role, no announcement has been made. However, Brosnan did give his approval of him for the role, saying, “I think the man has the chops and the talent and the charisma to play Bond, very much so.”
Brosnan himself is set to pick up a new dossier outlining his next mission. According to Deadline, the former MI6 agent has signed on to be in the new romantic thriller A Spy’s Guide to Survival, which comes from Uri Singer’s Passage Pictures. A Spy’s Guide to...

There were many unhappy fans when Netflix canceled Warrior Nun after two seasons in December and for good reason.
The show had a thrilling plot and excellent characters.
If the conversation on social media was to be believed, the series was a big hit (check out why Warrior Nun should be your next obsession!)
When shows are canceled, they rarely return, but series creator Simon Barry took to social media with a wild announcement:
A comeback for the show is officially in the works.
How? We're not quite sure, ad it might be the case that we won't hear more until a deal is reached.
"Today I'm happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion, and amazing efforts - #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine," reads the enthusiastic Twitter post.

There seems to be great news for another show that was canceled early on in its run: Warrior Nun, which premiered in 2020 on Netflix and ran two seasons before it was axed in December 2022. The news came from showrunner Simon Barry himself, on Twitter. “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine. More details to come! Soon! Thank-you!! #SaveWarriorNun #WarriorNunSaved,” Barry wrote on Twitter, along with emojis for a heart and clapper board. When shows get cancelled by one network, they often have a chance to find a new home. Sometimes it doesn’t work out (I was surprised The Winchesters wasn’t able to find a new home after being cancelled by The CW), sometimes it does… And apparently Warrior Nun, a live-action series loosely based on Ben Dunn’s manga-style comic book Warrior Nun Areala, is one of the success stories. It was announced back in December that Warrior Nun had been cancelled after two seasons on the Netflix streaming service, but now series creator Simon Barry has revealed that season 3 is going to happen – and he says it’s going to be an epic revival!
Barry shared the news on Twitter, saying, “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine.

One month after the second season of “Warrior Nun” debuted on Netflix last year, the streaming service opted not to renew the series for a third, we learned back in December.
This week, however, the “Warrior Nun” news is surprisingly good. It seems that due to a whole lot of fan demand, the cancelled Netflix series is getting a second chance at life.
Creator Simon Barry tweeted late last night, “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine. More details to come! Soon! Thank-you!!”
Does this mean “Warrior Nun” Season 3 will be airing on Netflix, or has another network/streamer picked up the show? We don’t have any details at this time. Stay tuned.

Despite critical acclaim and positive fan response, Netflix has decided not to renew Warrior Nun for a third season, ending the cult-favorite series just a month after the second season’s release. As first reported by Deadline, the YA fantasy drama will not be returning after Season 2, which spent just three weeks in the streamer’s Weekly Top 10 for English-language series, peaking at no. 5. The cancelation comes in spite of cliffhangers and unresolved plotlines set up in the second season. Created by Simon Barry, the series is based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala by Ben Dunn and revolves around the story of Ava Silva (Alba Baptista), a 19-year-old woman who wakes up in a morgue with a new lease of life and a divine artifact embedded in her back. After discovering she is now part of the ancient Order of the Cruciform Sword tasked with fighting demons on Earth,...

Netflix viewers have lamented the streamer’s “bananas” decision to cancel another popular series.
The streaming service has recently cancelled a number of popular fantasy shows, including Fate: The Winx Saga and vampire series First Kill.
Now, Warrior Nun has become the latest show on that list, just one month after season two arrived on Netflix.
The fantasy series, based on Ben Dunn’s comic books, follows Ava Silva (Alba Baptista), a young girl who wakes up in a morgue and learns she now has supernatural powers that can be used to defend the world from demons, with the help of an order of warrior nuns.
Despite the show spending three weeks in Netflix’s worldwide top 10 and peaking at No 5 (according to Deadline), creator Simon Barry announced on Tuesday (13 December) night that they would not be returning for a third outing.

“Warrior Nun” has been canceled at Netflix after two seasons, Variety has confirmed.
The decision comes a little over a month after the fantasy action series debuted its second season, which dropped in its entirety on Netflix on Nov. 10. The series originally debuted on the streamer back in July 2020, with the second season being announced in August of that year.
“Warrior Nun” is based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala originally created by Ben Dunn. The series centers on Ava Silva, played by Ava Baptista. Exclusive: Netflix has opted not to order a third season of Warrior Nun. The decision was made a month after the Nov. 10 release of the fantasy drama’s second season.
Warrior Nun‘s second season ratings performance follows the pattern of other scripted series which have been canceled by Netflix as the streamer evaluates viewing vs. cost for their renewal decisions. Season 2 spent just three weeks in Netflix’s Weekly Top 10 for English-language series, peaking at #5. Warrior Nun has built a small yet passionate fan base, which helped it secure a second season renewal but was not enough to sustain the series in the long run.

Warrior Nun is an action/fantasy/adventure series created by Simon Barry starring Alba Baptista.
This series for young adults is showing signs of being a success, having been granted its second season. It is based on the comic ‘Warrior Nun Areala’ by Ben Dunn, who has also written God’s Silver Soldiers backup stories: Tales of Nazareth: The Boyhood of Jesus, thematically close to that in the series.
Warrior Nun Premise
After waking up in a morgue, Ava, a quadriplegic orphaned teen discovers she is the chosen one, the Halo-Bearer for a secret sect of demon-hunting nuns.
About the Series
A quite well produced series, in which various genres merge. It has action, fantasy, sci-fi and drama.
So, if you are seeking something down to earth and serious, the title is a definite give away that that is not what you will find in this series. There is a lot of action,...
