Suzanne Somers’ death on Oct. 15 ensures a Three’s Company reboot would be impossible. It would have been unlikely before the starlet’s death, but Somers wasn’t against the idea. Now, though, there is just a single member of the original main cast that is still alive. That makes us immeasurably sad.
Joyce DeWitt is the only remaining original ‘Three’s Company’ cast member still living
Joyce DeWitt, who played Janet Wood on Three’s Company, is the last living original cast member. DeWitt appeared in 171 episodes of the iconic series, working with both Ritter and Somers as a main cast member from the pilot onward.

It’s time for a new episode of The Manson Brothers Show, the video series hosted by the writers/stars of the horror comedy The Manson Brothers Midnight Zombie Massacre – Chris Margetis (Stone Manson) and Mike Carey (Skull Manson)! In this one, the Boys are discussing writer/director Rob Zombie’s twisted road trip movie The Devil’s Rejects (watch it Here). To find out what they had to say about the film, check out the video embedded above!
The Devil’s Rejects has the following synopsis: After a raid on the rural home of the psychopathic Firefly family, two members of the clan, Otis and Baby, manage to flee the scene. Heading to a remote desert motel, the killers reunite with Baby’s father, Capt. Spaulding, who is equally demented and intent on maintaining their murder spree. While the trio continues to torment and kill various victims, the vengeful Sheriff Wydell slowly closes in on them.

Happy 2021, everyone! It’s been a few weeks, but we’re back with a brand-new edition of our weekly Blu-ray and DVD releases column to kick off this new year. And while we may not have a ton of titles headed home on Tuesday, we do have an excellent bunch of films all the same, including one of my favorite films of 2020, Love and Monsters, which hits various formats this week. Another film from last year that I really enjoyed was Brea Grant’s 12 Hour Shift, which hits both Blu-ray and DVD (and will be available On Demand) tomorrow, and if you have somehow never seen it, I highly recommend picking up the new Blu for Savage Streets, featuring Linda Blair.
Other releases for January 5th include Tintorera… Tiger Shark, From the Depths, Nina of the Woods, and Hacksaw.

It’s got to be kind of rough to be thought of as the interim replacement for another character, but that was what Jenilee Harrison was for a while when it came to the show Three’s Company. Presented as a clumsy farm girl, Cindy Snow, Chrissy’s cousin, she was good enough to create a lot of gags that were pretty funny since she was accepted as the klutzy blonde that wasn’t exactly a perfect replacement for Chrissy but still managed to fill the gap just well enough until Priscilla Barnes was brought in during the sixth season. Eventually Jenilee would be

It’s interesting sometimes to learn just which actors were raised by military parents, since a lot of them likely had to endure moving from one place to the next as kids and as a result had to either find a way to make and keep friends or just keep moving along and remaining aloof from everyone else. In such instances some people would take up making up one new persona after another, which would be perfect for many actors. Priscilla Barnes was one of those who moved around on a fairly constant basis, but at the age of 17 she

From August 4th through the 6th, Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Con took over the Windy City, and Daily Dead was on hand for all the horror-fied festivities. Throughout all three days, this writer served as one of Flashback’s co-hosts, and brought back some highlights from several of the panels held over the course of the convention.
First up is a discussion on easily one of the greatest horror movies of the last 20 years, Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects, between two of the film’s co-stars, William Forsythe and Lew Temple. During their panel, the duo discussed their initial feelings on working with Zombie, collaborating alongside their fellow cast members (including the late, great Geoffrey Lewis), which scenes were improvised, and what it is about Zombie as a cinematic storyteller that has fueled them to return on several of his other projects post-Devil’s Rejects.

A hurricane is the least of everyone’s problems as Chapter Ten kicks off on The CW
“Jane The Virgin” not only left off in the midseason finale with some crazy cliffhangers, the show itself went on to win a Golden Globe for star Gina Rodriguez in the meantime, and was subsequently renewed for Season 2.
But back in the fictional, soapy world of Jane Villanueva, things aren’t going quite so smoothly – for anyone. With a hurricane bearing down on Miami, the drama goes into hyperdrive.

Hello, and welcome to The Best Of Number Two here at The Liberal Dead. We haven’t done any kind of theme for a long time, so I thought I would reach out to some some talented people from other sites, and see if we can put something together. I decided it would be a theme about the best second films in a franchise/series. Expect discussion about Metamorhosis: The Alien Factor, The Devil’s Rejects, C.H.U.D. II, Blade II, Sleepaway Camp II, Amityville 2, Island of the Fishmen, The Dark Knight, Final Destination 2, House II and more.

This weekend’s B-Sides is the theme song to the 1992 direct-to-video action movie Talons of the Eagle. This song is not for your listening pleasure. This song is a dare – a challenge. Can you listen to the whole thing from beginning to end?
I have never seen Talons of the Eagle. Kind of surprising given it starred Billy Blanks and I was all about those cheesy direct-to-video action movies around the time this came out. The Devil's Rejects' Priscilla Barnes co-stars, and here’s the plot according to the IMDb:
After three DEA agents are killed by Mr. Li (James Hong), martial arts champion Tyler Wilson (Blanks) is sent on assignment to Toronto and teams up with Michael Reed (Jalal Merhi). Wilson and Reed enter a martial arts tournament, where they end up saving Mr. Li from being killed by a rival crime boss. Li invites the two to join his staff.

We're not kidding. Ron Jeremy. And he plays a pornographer.
We're following director Susanna Lo's film Manson Girls, which focuses on Charles Manson's follower Sandra Good, who is played by the talented Thora Birch, quite closely, and the director informs us that two new cast members, the beloved Priscilla Barnes and the crazy Ron Jeremy, are both playing dramatic roles in the biopic.
Priscilla Barnes, who horror film fans will recognize from Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects is "Mrs. Atkins", follower Sadie Atkin's mom (did we forget to mention that talented Heather Matarazzo will be playing Sadie Atkins?) and former porn actor Ron Jeremy will be doing a cameo as Van Guylder, the director of the porn film The Ramrodder which two Manson followers, Catherine Share (aka "Gypsy") and Bobby Beausoleil, starred in together.

Now that Charlie Sheen is officially fired from his gig as Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men, producers must decide if they're going to shut down the show completely, or if they can find some creative way of moving forward. We're voting for a forward march, not least because Jack and Janet did Three's Company for years without Chrissy. (We just need to find Two and a Half Men for Priscilla Barnes!) In May of 2007 (just prior to the nation’s economic collapse), this writer visited the set of the Bogner Entertainment and Trailer Park Partners production Trailer Park of Terror, a Southern-fried fright flick directed by country-music video director-turned feature filmmaker Steven Goldmann. Produced by Jonathan Bogner and Ralph Singleton (Pet Semetary) and based on the Imperium Comics of the same name, Trailer Park of Terror premiered the following year at Slamdance ’08, and was released to DVD that October via Summit Entertainment.

What a decade. Talk about an insane ten years. In it we've seen sequels top originals, remakes up the ante, and a precious few bits of original content do what all quality cinema does -- become instant classics. Join us now for a look back at the decade that was 2000-2009!

For sweltering August, which is the best way to bring to mind the opiate-addicted romance of the Romantic poet hunks like Keats, Coleridge, Shelley, and of course, the syphilitic-but-sexy Lord Byron? By checking out a sexy horror writer! Scott Norton is the modern day equivalent of a gothic romance hero; except that he’s nothing like one. Between writing his successful horror fiction like HorrorCon and sWitch, he’s busy being a dude playing in a band and bewitching the world with his wit and charm. Oddly enough, this hunk spends most of his time indoors writing frightening things; think of him as the ‘Ted Bundy’ of horror – he’s funny and charming and you’d probably get in his car if you were hitchhiking, but there’s just something a little ‘off’. Is it merely that he’s from some ocean seaside-place with the wind blowing and the sand perfect for burying your corpse?...

NEW YORK -- A psycho-killer movie featuring less gore and more moral and religious philosophizing pretty much sums up "Three", adapted from the best-selling novel by Ted Dekker. This family-friendly thriller -- with a villain bearing somewhat of a resemblance to Jigsaw in the "Saw" series with his penchant for putting his victims through mind games and riddles before committing his mayhem -- is being marketed by Fox Faith, 20th Century Fox's Christian-themed label, but it seems unlikely that it will attract many of the faithful.
The film's hero is Kevin Parson (Marc Blucas), a young seminary student who seems to have an unknown connection to Slater (Bill Moseley), otherwise known as RK, or the "riddle killer." Kevin's first encounter with him is literally explosive, as he answers a cell phone that has been placed in his car only to hear a distorted voice telling him that unless he can solve a riddle in three minutes he will be blown up. Failing to pass the test, he manages to escape just in time.
Thus begins the inevitable cat-and-mouse game, with Kevin forced to undergo a series of such tests and the price for failure being more death and destruction. Helping him wade through the mystery, which apparently involves his upbringing by an abusive aunt (Priscilla Barnes), are a criminal psychologist (Justine Waddell) with a tragic personal connection with the killer, as well as Kevin's former childhood sweetheart (Laura Jordan).
The fairly routine plot is made somewhat more interesting by the infusion of issues regarding morality and faith, but ultimately "Three", for all its philosophizing, is little more than a standard serial-killer movie with pretensions.
