When the character Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne) made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut back in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the idea was that we’d be seeing the character again the following year in her own Disney+ show Ironheart… but 2023 came and went without Ironheart, and the show still doesn’t have an official premiere date. This has caused some fans to speculate that Marvel and Disney+ might have decided to scrap Ironheart, along with the series Wonder Man, which had Yahya Abdul-Mateen II taking on the role of the title character, who is also known as Simon Williams and hasn’t been seen in the MCU yet. But no, Ironheart and Wonder Man are not being scrapped, and in a new interview with Agents of Fandom, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation Brad Winderbaum described the shows as spectacular, amazing, and different.

Marvel Studios has a slew of projects in the pipeline, and while fans eagerly await updates on ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and ‘The Fantastic Four’ reboot, one project that has been generating buzz for years is ‘Ironheart.’ Despite years of anticipation, the series has faced delays in development and release.
In July 2018, a film based on the Marvel Comics character Riri Williams/Ironheart had a script by Jada Rodriguez and was listed on The Black List. However, the film never materialized. In December 2020, Marvel Studios announced the development of a Disney+ television series titled ‘Ironheart,’ with Chinaka Hodge appointed as the head writer in April 2021. In March 2022, it was disclosed that Ryan Coogler, the director of ‘Black Panther,’ was involved in the production, and Dominique Thorne, Ironheart’s star, makes her first appearance in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ Coogler’s Proximity Media is collaborating with Marvel Studios on select Disney+ series,...

There has been a lot of fan speculation about Marvel Comics’ extra-dimensional demon character Mephisto showing up in a Marvel Cinematic Universe project. Many fans were sure Mephisto’s demonic mug was going to show up in WandaVision at some point… but that didn’t happen, so fans started wondering if he’ll be in the WandaVision spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos. It remains to be seen if that’s going to happen, but it sounds like we will see Mephisto in the Ironheart series. And it’s RUMORed that while we’ll primarily be seeing Mephisto in human form, there will be “glimpses” of his true demonic form.
Insider @CanWeGetToast claims (as reported by SuperHeroHype), “Mephisto will mostly be seen in his human form in Ironheart, while only giving Glimpses of his true form. Mephisto has The Hood stealing tech for him to build an advanced Bio-Suit in Ironheart.

Every year, there comes a point when the UK comedy industry suddenly becomes abuzz with whispers. Word gets about that the producers of Mock the Week are in town. They’re scouting out stand-up shows for new talent – and you could be next. “Everyone’s going, ‘You know they’re looking’,” comedian Maisie Adam tells me. “You suddenly ended up going to every gig feeling like you’re in those early episodes of X Factor, queuing up outside.”
When it was announced in August that the BBC was canning Mock the Week after 17 years, in order to “create room for new shows”, online discourse exploded. People questioned what the show ending in its current format (the team are optimistic it’ll find a home elsewhere) meant for the BBC, for the panel show format and for satire as a whole. Marvel fans have been theorizing about the arrival of Mephisto in the MCU for some time, particularly in the WandaVision series. That didn’t come to pass, but it feels like fans have been picking up Mephisto teases ever since. The latest rumour making the rounds is that Sacha Baron Cohen is reportedly in talks to play Mephisto, with the villain apparently making his first appearance in the upcoming Ironheart series.
According to Deadline, sources have confirmed to them that there has been talk of Sacha Baron Cohen joining the cast of Ironheart, likely as Mephisto, but Marvel representatives refused to comment. Whether Sacha Baron Cohen takes on the role of Mephisto or not, I have little doubt that the character will appear one day. Wa wa wee wa! Reports have come in that Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing Mephisto in Disney+’s upcoming Ironheart series. While this has yet to be confirmed, sources are confident that the actor will be portraying the Marvel character on the MCU show.
The cast of the MCU’s Ironheart is starting to fill out quite nicely, with Dominique Thorne portraying Riri Williams/Ironheart, “a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man”, and Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins/The Hood. Years ago, Marvel writer Brian Michael Bendis said Riri Williams/Ironheart “speaks not only to the soul of the character but to the Iron Man franchise as a whole. Tony first put on the armor to save his heart. Riri puts it on for different reasons altogether but still heart-related.”

Going back to the self-named show from the grossly misbehaving comedian we don’t discuss anymore, the most intriguing part of the FX comedy brand has been half-hour shows with no discernible format and no singular tone. Your average episode of Pamela Adlon’s Better Things could sometimes be three serious vignettes or one cohesive and silly story, could focus on Adlon’s Sam or any of her daughters, could make you laugh or make you cry. Plot: Season 4 finds Earn, Alfred, Darius, and Van back in their hometown. But the question is, has Atlanta changed, or have they?
Review: After the divisive third season of Atlanta premiered back in March, Donald Glover’s acclaimed series ends with the fourth and final season premiering next week. After spending the entirety of the third season in Europe with episodes interspersed with seemingly unrelated stories, the fourth season returns to the narrative style of the first two seasons with some additional tricks up its sleeve. Atlanta has always been an unusual series, so to have it leave the airwaves in a traditional manner was never in the cards. As much as I loved the unexpected nature of the third season, the fourth season is a welcome return to the titular Georgia metropolis for a satisfying conclusion to this comedy-drama-fever dream.

Disney's D23 Expo is happening this weekend for the first time in three years and the Mouse House made sure to bring the goods. During the massive studio presentation today, Marvel Studios laid out much of what's to come in Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and beyond. That includes a first look at the long-awaited "Ironheart" series for Disney+, which will bring Riri Williams to the fold for a solo adventure. Dominique Thorne will make her debut in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" later this year. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

“This thing is bananas. And it seems like a bit of an oxymoron that something so small — we’re the small heroes — could do something so huge,” said Rudd during Marvel’s D23 presentation Saturday. “This is going to be unlike anything you’ve seen from us.”
