She also became the author and illustrator of two children's books. The first was Benjamin Gets Saved, a story about a rabbit. The second was Lonely Little Cactus Coloring Book, a soft cover book for children.
Was cast in a pivotal scene as a border guards wife in El Norte (1983), but her scenes were later cut.
