Thank goodness for wet wipes! Some days you got it, and some days you don't. That rings true for professional makeup artists, too—just ask Michael Ashton, the master of the feline flick. (You've seen his iconic work on the likes of Adele and Lea Michele.) When your beauty game is weak, there's nothing a good makeup removal wipe can't solve. But what if you mess up something and you're halfway done with your face? Read: There's no need to start completely over. "One of my favorite little tips that I tell people is that if you take a cotton tip and wrap a facial wipe [over it], you can create a flat side (which now kind of looks like a spatula tool) and swipe away the layer," the...

After a year and a half of touring with Adele, celebrity makeup artist and hairstylist Michael Ashton can complete her glamorous hair and makeup in less than two hours. That may seem like a lot of time relative to your every day routine, but for the stage, that's remarkable. Beyond efficient, the New Zealand native has also helped the songstress create an iconic look. "It's the classic feline flick that has become iconic as far her beauty look," he said on E! News' Freestyle series on Facebook. "I love it for its reference to old school Hollywood. But, it's really wearable for every day in real life. And, once you know the steps, it's very easy." Demonstrating...

Her makeup game is as distinct as her voice. Some may call predictable—we call it ever-classic. In honor of the singer's 25 album release today, put your best Adele face on—with a simplified version inspired by the songstress' trademark beauty look. Master these three main focal points, and the music may not just resonate in your soul—but it'll be seen in your cat-eyes. The Eyes This is arguably the most important aspect of the entire look. Take your time! Start off...

Movement on a project first announced in 2012, although casting hadn't been shored-up at the time. Announced today, Forest Whitaker has signed on to play another prominent African figure - this time it's Archbishop Desmond Tutu - in a project by Roland Joffé, titled "The Archbishop and the Antichrist." He'll be joined by Vince Vaughn in the film, which is based on the play by Michael Ashton, and centers on the Truth and Reconciliation Hearings - a post-apartheid commissioning in which victims took an active role in the judicial process (called on to give accounts of the gross human rights violations they were subjected to), while offenders were...

Audi has launched an integrated campaign to support the launch of its new vehicle, the Audi Q3.
The campaign, titled ‘Destination n3xt’, uses an augmented reality iPhone app, a mobile site and ambient execution to support the Tvc as well as print and homepage takeovers.
The vehicle is positioned as a luxury urban SUV for ‘forward-thinking drivers’.
The augmented reality app allows consumers to see and interact with a Q3 to change exterior colours and wheels as well as activating hotspots with information about the vehicle.
The campaign was executed by agency Ddb Group’s Rapp Sydney.
Microsite and m-sites aim to connect with the urban driver, explaining the benefits of the vehicle but also allowing them to enter their post code to see destination information and social activities happening in the area.
Volker Woerz, Rapp’s senior business director said: “The Destination n3xt campaign theme is the...

His considerable and proven talents notwithstanding, the post-Last King of Scotland phase of Forest Whitaker‘s career has been rough, to put it in layman’s terms. The past four years have seen him take on Vantage Point, Repo Men, Our Family Wedding, Powder Blue, and Street Kings, all either complete failures or reported as such — and, perhaps even worse, containing performances that are entirely forgotten. And a Criminal Minds spin-off? Really? Whatever needs to pay the bills, I guess, but this guy’s got on Oscar; CBS dramas should be a last resort.
ScreenDaily is here to make matters a little less dire, telling us that he’ll be pairing with director Roland Joffe on The Archbishop and the Antichrist, a prison-set, slightly fictional story revolving around South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Forest Whitaker is set to play Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Roland Joffe's South African prison movie at Lightmotive which currently has the working title of "The Archbishop And The Antichrist" says Screen Daily.
Based on the play by Michael Ashton, the story imagines a meeting between the real Tutu and a boorish white South African mass murderer called Piet Blomfeld.
Joffe ("The Mission," "The Killing Fields") has adapted the play himself. The helmer is currently in post-production on his $30+ million part colonial India-set "Singularity" and is also prepping the thriller "In God We Trust".

The last time he played a real person (in The Last King Of Scotland), Forest Whitaker walked away with a shiny Oscar. So you can understand the appeal of him starring as another actual man, albeit one on the side of good this time. He’s on board to play Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Roland Joffe’s The Archbishop And The Antichrist.Joffe has adapted Michael Ashton’s play, which puts the very real Tutu in a fictional story about the Archbishop meeting a bigoted South African mass murderer called Piet Blomfeld who says he's seeking redemption. The plot is set during Tutu's work with the country’s Truth and Reconciliation hearings. It sounds like the sort of film that the man who made The Mission and The Killing Fields could really do something with. But it’s not the only project he’s developing at the moment.He’s...

Could this be a return to Forest Whitaker's Oscar winning ways? At least on paper it seems so, as Screen Daily reports that the actor has lined up to play beloved activist and archbishop Desmond Tutu in Roland Joffé's developing "The Archbishop And The Antichrist." The film, which should be a nice change of pace for Whitaker (who seems to be stuck in straight-to-dvd hell) is based on the play by Michael Ashton and is a fictionalized portrait of Tutu that follows his stint working for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, where he comes across a mass murderer named Piet Blomfeld who seeks redemption for his crimes. Promising indeed, and if anything, it will be nice to see Whitaker take on something of substance for a change. It's early days on the film, which is set up through Joffé's Lightmotives production house, and should it take a while to come together,...
