Yesterday, the folks at Vertical let us know they’d be dropping a trailer for the horror film The Exorcism (formerly known as The Georgetown Project), which stars Russell Crowe and is set to receive a North American theatrical release on June 7th, online today. Sure enough, a trailer for The Exorcism has just arrived online, and you can check it out in the embed above!
Crowe recently played real-life exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth in the supernatural horror film The Pope’s Exorcist, which could turn out to be a franchise starter. He actually worked on this movie before making The Pope’s Exorcist – in fact, The Exorcism was first announced four and a half years ago. So it’s good to see that it’s finally making its way out into the world.

Has FBI: International found a replacement for Luke Kleintank’s Scott Forrester?
The hit CBS procedural has cast Chicago Med alum Colin Donnell in a guest-starring role.
People first reported the news, but in true Dick Wolf series fashion, details about who Donnell will be playing are being kept firmly under wraps.
We know that the Arrow alum will appear in the final two episodes of FBI: International Season 3.
Kleintank is set to depart before these two episodes, so we don’t think Donnell’s character will be involved in Forrester’s last storyline.
“After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI International,” Kleintank said this week.
Will Colin Donnell replace Luke Kleintank?
“This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life. I’m profoundly thankful for the extraordinary cast and crew of the show,...

DC Comics has no dearth of power packed characters. Who wouldn’t be afraid of the might of Superman or even Darkseid for that matter. And the wit of Batman needs no introduction. But what if we told you that there is one character in the comic book universe who has got Bruce Wayne’s wit and talent for strategy, while he has also got Superman’s brawns. There is one, though – Deathstroke. The mighty assassin is one of DC Comics’ most dreaded. But the Arrowverse could not do the character justice.

Out this week in theaters is Radio Silence’s Abigail, a heist-turned-bloodbath when kidnappers realize the child ballerina they’ve snatched isn’t quite human. That the petite vampire is a ballerina feels apt. After all, the deceptive art form has a reputation for dainty elegance that belies the sheer grueling dedication of its performers, both physically and mentally.
Ballet requires a high level of dedication to practice and performance and frequently spills over into body horror through broken toenails, stress fractures, and overuse injuries. In other words, ballet is often a mix of pain and beauty, which means it pairs well with horror.
This week’s streaming picks are dedicated to ballerinas in horror.
These horror movies feature at least one ballerina tormented by her art form, highlighting the stark, beguiling contrast between beauty and horror. Here’s where you can stream them now.

Heels might be headed back to the ring.
The drama, which was unceremoniously canceled along with a couple more series as Starz cleaned house in September, has been licensed to Netflix by Lionsgate Worldwide Television Distribution. With the acquisition, Netflix will have non-exclusive rights to the two-season, 16-episode library of the wrestling drama starring Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Alexander Ludwig (Vikings).
Sources also note that while Netflix has not renewed the series, the streamer could wind up doing so should Heels perform well on the platform. Those same sources also caution that a third season, even in success, could still be a logistical challenge. Amell — a die-hard wrestling fan who often would perform his own stunts on Heels — signed on in February as the lead in NBC’s highly anticipated spinoff of Suits. The offshoot of the former USA Network original is one of but five pilots in the works at NBC.

“Dave McLean became not only a friend, but family to me during our eight seasons together on Arrow,” Stephen Amell says of The CW superhero series crew member who took his own life on October 9. “It hurts to lose such a vibrant spirit to struggles with mental health.”

Yes, it has been suggested that the Arrowverse first took flight with Arrow‘s own October 2012 premiere. But truly, it was 14 months later, on Dec. 4, 2013 — when Barry Allen aka the would-be Flash first set foot in Starling City — that TV’s expanded DC universe started to take shape.

The fourth installment of the Hellraiser franchise, Hellraiser: Bloodline, was the last film of the series to be released theatrically. It was also notorious for its troubled production, eventually leading director Kevin Yagher to walk away when Miramax demanded reshoots. Miramax then brought in Joe Chappelle to complete the film.
When Yagher saw the finished cut of Hellraiser: Bloodline, post reshoots, it’d become so removed from his vision that he had his name removed from the credits using the Alan Smithee pseudonym, as did Chappelle. While Yagher’s version of the prequel/sequel is lost to time, Arrow’s Hellraiser: Bloodline Workprint assembles the footage Yagher shot, offering fans the closest we’ll ever get to a Director’s Cut. If you thought the chances of the Duffy Wrestling League succeeding would increase on Heels Season 2, the latest trailer will probably dash those hopes.
Starz on Monday unveiled a new sneak peek at the next chapter of the Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig drama, and it teases lots of tension for everyone involved.
The premium cabler previously teased the second season with a trailer earlier this month, but the latest footage hints at plenty of big swings in the storytelling department.
Heels Season 1 was a big success story, and with fans waiting almost two years for fresh episodes, there are high expectations to deliver a satisfying follow-up season.
A small-town sports drama series based on a wrestling league in rural Georgia, Heels is aptly named after the wrestling term for a villain or antagonist.
"Most stories center around heroes vs. villains, but in wrestling, it's faces vs. heels," the logline teases.

This article contains The Flash spoilers.
The Flash begins its final run of episodes with an hour that will delight longtime Arrowverse fans—and sets up a dramatic new possibility for the series’ endgame. “It’s My Party and I’ll Die If I Want To” may be most memorable for the fact that it brings back former Arrow stars Stephen Amell and David Ramsey—as well as The Flash favorite Keiynan Lonsdale—but it’s the show’s massive change to the very fabric of the Arrowverse as it has been understood since the events of the 2020 mega-crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths that may be the most impactful.
It’s hard to imagine an episode where Barry Allen’s death (however brief it might be) is only the third most interesting thing that happens during it, but here we are. Not only does Sendhil Ramamurthy’s villainous Bloodwork attempt...

When Oliver Queen returned via The Flash this week — the character’s first appearance since he as Spectre died (in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover finale) — it presented an opportunity to definitively tie up a loose end from Arrow‘s series finale.
As you may recall, Arrow‘s January 2020 series finale, titled “Fadeout,” largely revolved around the well-attended funeral for Oliver Queen. Prior to that sad, sad gathering, we realized that Oliver-as-Spectre, in the course of creating a new multiverse, had “rewritten” a few deaths from Arrow lore — including those of Oliver’s mother Moira, his best friend Tommy,...

“The Flash” is speeding toward its end, and with it comes the end of the Arrowverse. But, for the most part, Danielle Panabaker hasn’t gotten too emotional — at least until it came time for her final directorial turn on the show.
With Wednesday night’s episode, Panabaker, who has starred as Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost on the series since its pilot, has directed five episodes over the course of the series. And according to the actress, the sense of finality on the show really set in while she was behind the camera this time.
“I will say that was, I think, one of the few times I got emotional, in this final season is looking around, you know, at a lot of the different crew members, most of whom were there the first time I started directing, and you know, I really love collaborating with them,” Panabaker told TheWrap.

The carnival is closing at Amazon.
Carnival Row, the fantasy drama series starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne that last aired in August 2019, will end with its previously announced second season on the Prime Video platform.
The series will return for its final 10 episodes on Feb. 17, 2023. Episodes of the drama, a co-production between Legendary TV and Amazon Studios, will debut weekly.
Erik Oleson (Daredevil, The Man in the High Castle) serves as showrunner on season two after he took over for Marc Guggenheim (Arrow) and Travis Beacham, on whose feature script the series was based.
Sources say the series was creatively overhauled for season two, which along with delays from the pandemic contributed to the three-plus years between seasons of the series. All told, Oleson serves as the third showrunner on Carnival Row, which Beacham co-created alongside Rene Echevarria, who was the show’s original showrunner.
