- Ernst Arndt was born on February 3, 1861 in Magdeburg, Kingdom of Prussia [now Germany]. He was an actor, known for Herbstzauber (1918), Die Tragödie eines verschollenen Fürstensohnes (1922) and Der Umweg zur Ehe (1919). He died in 1942 in Treblinka Concentration Camp, General Governement.
- Acclaimed stage actor at Vienna's Burgtheater during the 1910's and 20's. Of Jewish ancestry, he was arrested after the Austrian 'Anschluss' in March 1938 and later murdered at the Treblinka concentration camp.
- On 13 March 1931, he was made an Honorary Citizen of Vienna.
- On July 10th, 1942 -at the age of 81- he was brought to Theresienstadt with Transport 30, after that followed a transfer to Treblinka with Transport Bq on September 23rd of the the same year. His exact date of death can't be defined with certainty.
- He belonged to the Vienna Burgtheater since 1910.
