Exclusive: Iconic British driver James Hunt is the subject of a feature doc from Deep Fusion Films.
British production house Deep Fusion has entered into a creative partnership with the James Hunt Estate on the production of Hunt: We Need to Talk About James, a 90-minute film that will offer “an unprecedentedly intimate look at the life and legacy of the man who helped define the glamour and danger of Formula 1, both on and off the track.”
Hunt had a well-publicized reputation as a playboy and adrenaline junkie, and was considered a golden boy of motorsports during his seven-year Formula 1 career, which culminated in him winning the 1976 World Championship in a dramatic final race.
While his personality and attitude made him hugely popular with the public and a familiar face in newspapers, his ‘live fast, die young’ approach was less well received by Formula 1’s establishment, who...

The nineties were the golden age of the thriller. Every other week, a star-driven thriller seemed to open in theaters, to the point that everyone took them for granted after a little while, and the genre dried up. Many of the best examples of the genre, like Basic Instinct, Single White Female, Jennifer 8, and others, hold up quite well in retrospect. One of my favourites has always been Jonathan Kaplan’s Unlawful Entry, which I did a Best Movie You Never Saw video about not long ago.
In it, Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe play a likeable yuppie couple rocked by a home invasion. A friendly cop, played by the late, great Ray Liotta, helps them out, and soon, he becomes a trusted friend and part of their lives. However, in classic Liotta fashion, he turns out to be a raving psychopath with designs on Stowe, leading to the white-collar...

The film will tell the story of Annie Able, an aging pro wrestler, who despite battles with addiction and mental health, returns to the land of the Rising Sun to reignite her feud with local Japanese legend Hoshi Tokao, whose series of epic and often bloody matches in the late ’90s made them rich and famous. During the build-up of their big match at the landmark Tokyo Dome, Annie falls for the son of Hoshi, a young man half her age, and while the unlikely relationship angers Hoshi, the meaningful bond they form is unbreakable.

Olivia Newton-John's daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, is still reeling from the death of her mother. Two weeks after the Grease actress died following a 30-year battle with breast cancer, Chloe, 36, shared a touching quote from author Jamie Anderson, expressing the relationship between grief and love. "Grief, I've learned, is really just love," the message shared on Instagram Aug. 21 read. "It's all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go." The musician, who captioned the post with a heart emoji, received a...

Jamie Anderson's biggest fans will be cheering her on from a distance. As the 2022 Olympic Games continue in Beijing, the greatest athletes from around the world won't be competing as their family watches from the stands. Instead, event organizers are following a strict rule that no spectators from outside the country are permitted to attend events. For Jamie, who is going for gold in her third Olympic games as a snowboarder, the realization that her mom and dad will be watching from California instead of at the finish line brings mixed emotions. "I love my family's support and although they won't be there in person, they will be there in spirit,"...

It looks like Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson has some brand new ice. The athlete, 31, is engaged to fellow Olympic snowboarder Tyler Nicholson, 26, Today revealed on Jan. 24. In a video of the proposal shared with the news organization, Nicholson could be seen getting down on one knee and popping the question in front of (where else?) a snowy mountain background. The couple certainly have a lot to celebrate. The news comes less than two weeks before the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where Anderson will be competing in the women's slopestyle and big air events. This marks her third Olympics. Anderson won the gold medal in slopestyle at the 2014 Games in Sochi, as well as the...

John Anderson was struggling with the issue that is every musician’s nightmare: in the midst of a serious illness that had forced him off the road, his hearing disappeared. Singing and playing his guitar, the way the “Seminole Wind” singer had been doing as a profession for more than 40 years, seemed like a thing of the past.

Michael Strahan is a man who doesn’t mind getting down, dirty and even slimy for a job.
The former Super Bowl champion and current “Strahan and Sara” co-host is returning to Nickelodeon to host the “Kids’ Choice Sports 2019,” the network announced on Thursday.
“Nickelodeon’s ‘Kids’ Choice Sports’ is a one-of-a-kind awards show that brings all-star athletes, kids and of course, slime together,” Strahan in a statement. “When I hosted the first year of the show, I loved it — the energy, stunts, kids, crowd and slime … a lot of slime!
“Hosting this show has been one of my favorite things I’ve done, and this year is going to be the biggest, the baddest and the slimiest,” he added.

Sharna Burgess finally won “Dancing with the Stars” with a partner she probably never expected to win with, Bobby Bones, and that means the 12-season veteran and former four-time finalist can at long last shed her bridesmaid status. So to whom does that label go next? Of the current cast, four pros have been on at least five seasons and they all just so happen to be dudes. This makes sense since Burgess was the only female pro who hadn’t won on Season 27 and Val Chmerkovskiy was the only male pro who had won. So which of these four guys would you like to see win next?
The “oldest” of these four, in terms of their inaugural seasons, not tenures, is Gleb Savchenko. He made his pro debut in Season 16, along with Burgess and Lindsay Arnold, and finished in 10th place with Lisa Vanderpump. He didn’t return to...

In a year that saw the conviction of disgraced former Team USA doctor and Michigan State University physician Larry Nassar, the 2018 Espy awards took it upon itself to shine a light on the unity of the sexual assault survivors and celebrated the feats performed by female athletes over the past year. The show was hosted by former race driver Danica Patrick, the first woman to host the ESPYs since their inception in 1993.
In a somber, spine-tingling moment that brought several in attendance at the Microsoft Theater to tears, around 100 women took the center stage while singer Milck, an abuse survivor herself, sang her anthemic single, “Quiet.” Each woman in the group that filled the stage was representative of the “sister survivors” who spoke out against Nassar.
“Telling our stories of abuse over and over again in detail is not easy,” said Sarah Klein, a former gymnast and victim of Nassar’s abuse.

“Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” premiered on April 30 and eliminated two celebrities on that very first night of the competition. We thought basketball players Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Arike Ogunbowale would be goners, but instead snowboarder Jamie Anderson and baseball star Johnny Damon were sent packing after judges’ scores were combined with viewer votes. Our readers weren’t too happy with those results when we polled them for their reactions. Scroll down to see the complete poll results at the bottom of this post. (Check out our live blog recapping week two right here.)
Only 12% of respondents thought that both Anderson and Damon deserved to get the boot. And the panel of judges might have even agreed. Neither dancer had the lowest score on the leaderboard: Anderson earned 19 out of 30 for her Viennese waltz with her pro partner Artem Chigvintsev, while Damon and pro partner Emma Slater scored 18 out of 30 for their rough-around-the-edges foxtrot.

Gold Derby users were blindsided Monday night in the season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes.” We were predicting that basketball players Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Arike Ogunbowale were the likeliest two to be sent home in the unprecedented opening-night double-elimination. But both ballers survived. Instead, the combination of judges’ scores and viewer votes spelled doom for snowboarder Jamie Anderson and baseball player Johnny Damon. Did they really deserve their fates? Vote in our poll at the bottom of this post.

This was a little bit skippy on occasion, especially once you got in hold” said judge Len Goodman about Anderson’s routine with her pro partner Artem Chigvintsev. ABC has revealed the routines and songs for Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” premiere, which will have three cha-chas, three foxtrots, three salsas and one Viennese waltz on tap. Hope the Viennese waltz doesn’t feel too lonely. All four styles are typical Week 1 dances on the show, but this is no typical “Dancing” season. It’s four weeks long, and more than one couple will be eliminated at the end of the premiere based on judges’ scores and fan votes cast during the live Et/Ct broadcast.

It happens every season. You peruse the “Dancing with the Stars” cast, make your predictions based on name and reputation, and are proven wrong. There is always someone you underestimated or overestimated — whether it’s their dance ability or fan support or overall appeal, or all of the above — who does better or worse than most people expected. Who will be that person this season?
Our “Dancing” odds have Adam Rippon winning, with Mirai Nagasu and, perhaps most surprisingly, Tonya Harding, next in line to take home the Mirrorball. Harding’s casting has been very divisive, but she does have supporters and she can ride her redemption story. Or maybe folks are banking on figure skaters’ past success on the show? Chris Mazdzer, the first luger on the show, is in fourth place and Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, looking to be the fifth football player to win, is in fifth place.

Pro dancer Sharna Burgess deserves to Finally win ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ according to our readers
“Dancing with the Stars” fans probably already have celebrity contestants they’re rooting for in this all-athletes season, premiering April 30, but what about the professional dancers who are training and partnering with those celebs? Seven of the 10 pros competing this season have never won a Mirror Ball Trophy before, and when we asked our readers which of them is the most overdue for a victory it wasn’t even close. It’s time for Sharna Burgess to finally win. Scroll down to see our complete poll results at the bottom of this post.
According to almost two-thirds of respondents (64%), Burgess deserves a Mirror Ball championship at long last. She has competed for the last 10 seasons in a row and she has gotten close on multiple occasions, reaching the finals three times but never quite reaching the top of the podium. Jamie Anderson can spin to win in the air, but can she spin to win on the parquet? The two-time Olympic champion is aiming to become the first snowboarder to win “Dancing with the Stars” and will have her work cut out for her against nine other athletes in a shortened four-week season. Let’s break down her pros and cons.
Pros:
Snowboarders may be covered in the baggiest clothes on the slopes and in the halfpipe, but they have some of the sickest and most athletic bods of any athlete. You need tremendous core body strength to be able to launch yourself in the air and get enough height to contort your body to pull off a double cork 1080. Fitness, strength and body awareness shouldn’t be an issue for Anderson, who’s the ripe ol’ age of 27.

Seven sports are represented by the 10 athletes on “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes,” including some of the show’s staples. But which sport’s athletes have done the best on the show? You can probably guess. Let’s look at these seven sports’ “Dancing” histories.
Football (Josh Norman)
As everyone knows, football is by far “Dancing”’s favorite sport. They don’t even try to hide it. Nineteen football players have hoofed it before this season, and while they haven’t all made it to the business end of their respective seasons, football has produced four winners, three runner-ups and two third-place finishers. So, no pressure, Josh, to follow in these pigskin players’ footsteps.

The “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” cast is finally out — and we have thoughts. We’ve got six Olympians on deck — including three figure skaters — two basketball players, a baseball player and your requisite football player. It’s anyone’s game (pun intended) — or is it? Some of these folks have some obvious and not-so-obvious advantages over the others and in a shortened four-week season, that could mean a lot. So before anyone takes their first dance, let’s take a closer look at the cast.

Season 26 of Dancing with the Stars is already shaping up to be the most drama-filled yet! ABC revealed the full cast during Good Morning America on Friday, April 13, and let's just say there's one controversial member of the first-ever all-athlete lineup. Before today's big reveal, it was reported that Tonya Harding would be on the show — and sure enough, today she danced away on Gma with her pro partner Sasha Farber. Many critics were angry to see Tonya as a sympathetic character in the Oscar-nominated film I, Tonya, so we're sure there will be some pushback against Tonya now that she's back in the spotlight. The anger goes back to when her competitor Nancy Kerrigan (who was a past DWTS contestant herself) was attacked before the Olympics, and it was traced back to Tonya and her husband. The controversy certainly has our interests piqued... Prior to the official announcement this morning,...

The season 26 cast of “Dancing with the Stars” was officially announced on “Good Morning America” on Friday, April 13. So who will win this special all-athletes season of the dance competition series? You can now make your predictions right here for who will claim the Mirror Ball Trophy, who will be eliminated and more.
Athletes often do well on “DWTS” due to their physical conditioning, so this season may be especially difficult to predict since all of the contestants fit that bill. But not all sports are created equal. History tells us that we should especially watch out for figure skaters and football players.

ABC just teased that an NFL player would be among those taking part in the upcoming “Dancing With the Stars” season devoted to athletes. Despite rumors, we can reveal that it won’t be Johnny Manziel. While his name had been among those in the mix, this one-time Cleveland Brown quarterback is in the middle of an NFL comeback.
In 2012, Manziel made history as the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy as the star player on Texas A&M Aggies. Two years later, he was the 22nd pick in the NFL draft and spent two seasons in Cleveland. Released by the team at the end of the 2015 season, he has since returned to school and is now hoping to make it onto the roster of another team.

A third, Jennie Finch, led the Us women’s softball team to victory in the 2004 Summer Olympics and a second-place silver medal finish four years later. The last may not have won a medal but is the...

Another day, another Olympian. Olympic gold medalist and softball star Jennie Finch has joined “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes,” “Entertainment Tonight” reports.
The former pitcher is the fourth Olympian — and first summer Olympian — reported to be in the 10-person cast, following figure skaters Tonya Harding and Adam Rippon, and snowboarder Jamie Anderson. Honestly, if the whole cast is made up of Olympians, that’s Ok with us. They should probably change the name to “Dancing with the Stars: Olympians” though.

An All-American at Arizona, Finch led the U.S. women’s softball team to a gold medal in Athens in 2004, striking out 13 batters in eight innings while giving up only one hit, one walk and no runs. The team won silver in 2008, after which the sport was dropped from the Olympics. Finch, who also pitched...

It’s that time of the year again: when “Dancing with the Stars” contestants start to leak before the cast is announced. The first three wannabe hoofers joining the all-athletes season are Olympians Tonya Harding, Adam Rippon and Jamie Anderson, according to Us Weekly.
Harding’s casting is a classic “Dancing” move that checks a lot of boxes: She’s a controversial figure (skater) who was recently thrust back into the spotlight with an Oscar-winning major motion picture, “I, Tonya,” that attempted to engender some sympathy and tell her side of the story in the infamous 1994 attack on Nancy Kerrigan. And “Dancing with the Stars” is nothing if not about redemption. Speaking of Kerrigan, she competed on Season 24, finishing seventh, and that competitive narrative is a thread “Dancing” wants to pull. “Tonya Harding never won an Olympic medal, but could she surpass the woman whose attack she may or may...

Bobsledder Aja Evans already has one Olympic medal and very well may win another the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea — but regardless of the result at these Games, she has one definite post-competition plan.
“One thing I know for sure that I’m going to do and I’m excited about is going Bigfoot hunting,” she tells People with a laugh in the mountains of Pyeongchang, a few days before competing.
Wait: Bigfoot. Really?
“I’m randomly like a Bigfoot enthusiast,” Evans says. “I swear I’ve seen every episode of Finding Bigfoot, and Bobo from the show actually tweeted...

Jamie Anderson just made Olympic history as the first female snowboarder to earn two gold medals — not to mention they were in the same event — but she still hasn’t “really gotten to soak everything in,” she tells People.
“I plan on celebrating when I get back to Cali,” Anderson, a 27-year-old native of South Lake Tahoe, California, said in an interview Tuesday, one day after her first-place finish in the women’s slopestyle event at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
“I think we’re going to do a big United party in San Francisco with my partner airline, and my brother...

Less than a month ago, luger Chris Mazdzer took to Facebook to share his mounting frustration over a persistent rut he had fallen into — and from which it seemed he might never escape.
“What kills me on the inside is not the fact I made a few small mistakes,” he wrote, “what kills me and has been driving me wild for over a year now is the fact that no matter what I do my top speed and ability to be with the top guys in the world has disappeared, and I don’t know why.”
That was on Jan.

Snowboarder Jamie Anderson has successfully defended her golden status.
The 27-year-old grabbed gold for the second time in the women’s snowboard slopestyle at Phoenix Snow Part in South Korea Monday morning (Sunday night stateside). Anderson also took home gold in the 2014 competition in Sochi — its Olympic debut — which means Anderson is currently the first and only woman to earn gold in the event at the Games.
Blustery conditions caused a delayed start to the event and handicapped the majority of the competitors, according to a release from the U.S. Olympic Committe, which also noted that “Anderson successfully navigated...

The Americans earned a bronze medal on Monday afternoon in the team figure skating event at the 2018 Winter Olympics after a series of strong performances that nonetheless saw a surprising low and thrilling highs.
The top three finishers in the team event — whose scores are determined by the cumulative short and long routines from the ice dancers and single and pair skaters — were determined following the free dance portion, which saw the second of two performances so far from siblings Alex and Maia Shibutani.
