- Ernesto Alonso was born on February 28, 1917 in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. He was a producer and director, known for El vuelo del águila (1994), El derecho de nacer (1981) and Bodas de odio (1983). He died on August 7, 2007 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.

- He started out as an actor, and became a star of Mexican films. He worked with Maria Felix, Jorge Negrete, and Spanish filmmaker Luis Bunuel.
