Although we still have a week to go until the much anticipated season finale of The Flash featuring the big showdown with Savitar arrives, tonight’s installment looks no less intriguing. Sure, much excitement is usually to be expected when a season of television begins winding down, but when you factor in Captain Cold’s return, well, the next few hours can’t pass quickly enough.
While the reason for Leonard Snart’s return has been known for weeks now (Barry Allen needs his help in retrieving an alien power source guarded by King Shark at Argus), the parameters of just how he’s able to show up have remained a mystery – until now, that is.
In a recently released featurette, executive producer Aaron Helbing takes us on a guided tour of tonight’s episode and, in doing so, confirms our suspicion that the Scarlet Speedster continues to honor the...

Now that it’s well established Captain Cold is making his return on next week’s episode of The Flash, The CW is not resting on its laurels and has instead decided to step up the marketing campaign for season 3’s penultimate offering. Aside from an extended trailer, which can be viewed at the top, the network has continued its proud tradition of circulating eye-popping promo posters on social media.
This one in particular is especially visually impressive because it sees an also returning King Shark confronting the Scarlet Speedster and Leonard Snart, with some gorgeous rain effects thrown in. Personally, I find this to be more aesthetically appealing than something with, say, Gorilla Grodd because I think King Shark just looks more realistic and polished when it comes to purely CGI characters to have appeared on the show.
Fortunately, this confrontation will be made a reality as it appears...

Now that The Flash is closing in on the finish line that is the season 3 finale, the producers are pulling out all the stops to make sure that the current run goes out with a bang. As promised in a previously released featurette, Savitar shared his motivation with his present self, finally giving us some real insight into the breadth of his diabolical plan. But as exciting as that was, we can’t help but be left reeling by the fact that Captain Cold is returning next week.
You see, Leonard Snart is technically dead. Yes, he did appear in the final episodes of season 2 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, but let’s not forget that he was plucked from earlier in the timeline by the Legion of Doom, with the Waverider crew returning him to that point and wiping his short-term memory in the finale.

Now that we know Savitar will finally be unmasked next week, it looks like the producers of The Flash have decided to give us something else to talk about. In the past, a guest appearance by Wentworth Miller’s Captain Cold wouldn’t have seemed out of the ordinary, but you have to admit that it’s now a pretty big deal.

I think we can all agree that this past Monday’s episode of Supergirl was quite the game changer. Not only did Jeremiah Danvers make his return, but it was also revealed that he’s since aligned himself with Cadmus. But whether he’s acting under duress or has been brainwashed remains to be seen. Still, that cybernetic arm he’s gained in the process isn’t too shabby.
While we countdown the days until next week’s episode, “Exodus,” arrives, the network has released a batch of promotional images to tide us over. If you were hoping for some stills taken from action scenes, you won’t be getting those, but you will instead be offered looks at more tender moments such as Kara and Mon-El furthering their relationship.
Aside from that, it looks like Jeremiah and Alex will share a scene in a more domestic setting,...

After last night’s emotional roller coaster ride, Supergirl shows no signs of slowing down as it continues the story arc involving a returning Jeremiah Danvers (played by none other than Dean Cain) and Cadmus.
Not surprisingly, there was more to Jeremiah than met the eye and he has indeed aligned himself with the shadowy group, much as we predicted. It should be interesting to see if he is, in fact, acting under duress or has endured some kind of mental conditioning that his put him beyond the point of no return. Regardless of which proves true, it’s undeniable that he’s put both Kara and Alex through a hell they never thought possible. But, hey, it’s we the viewers who win, right?
What caught my attention in the extended trailer that can be viewed at the top was Lillian Luthor telling Jeremiah, “you’re the only Superman we need.

While Zoom may be the big bad of The Flash‘s second season, the spotlight of this evening’s instalment will be firmly on Eobard Thawne. He’s the villain who took centre stage last year while disguised as Dr. Harrison Wells, and thanks to the mysteries of time travel, the Reverse-Flash is back in the land of the living despite being erased from history.
However, this is a version of that villain from an earlier point in time, and it’s been said that the episode is essentially going to be his origin story.
For further details, here’s the synopsis for this instalment of The Flash (which is titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns”).
When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays...

This week’s episode of The Flash is going to be a big one, as it looks set to deal with the origin story of the Reverse-Flash, a character who was wiped from history the last time we saw him in the season one finale. If that sounds confusing, don’t worry, as time travel is something which the show has so far done an excellent job of making accessible to viewers.
For more details about what to expect from this episode of The Flash – rather appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns” – here’s the official synopsis:

Now that The Flash has returned from its winter hiatus, it looks as though fans can expect everything including the kitchen sink in upcoming episodes. Next week’s brand new episode, which is titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns” (yes, his name is now suddenly hyphenated), had fans talking as soon as it was announced the character would be returning. Thankfully, The CW just released an extended look at what is sure to be a white knuckle ride of an episode, which can be viewed above.
One of the many things that will make this episode an interesting viewing is that The Reverse-Flash will be played by Matthew Letscher, whom fans will remember as the true face of Eobard Thawne. This iteration of the character actually happens to be from an alternate timeline and, as Earth 2 Harrison Wells says in the trailer, “This is his origin story.” I have complete faith...

It was revealed last year that Matthew Letscher had been asked to return to The Flash as the villainous Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash, and while Zoom is the big bad of season two, this character is all anyone has been talking about ever since. It’s pretty easy to understand why when you think about it though. After all, the last time we saw Thawne, he was being erased from history.
So, how has he returned? The official synopsis below doesn’t shed too much light on that, but with Earth-2 factoring into this season of The Flash, could he be a doppelgänger? That remains to be seen, but here’s the description for the episode – appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns!” – courtesy of The CW:

Airs Mondays at 8pm on The CW
On this week’s The Originals, Rebekah and Hope run from Esther, Elijah becomes increasingly unstable, Hayley and Jackson find a solution to the werewolves’s enslavement, and Klaus enlists Marcel to help deal with Finn and Kol.
“The Brothers That Care Forgot” is one of the best episodes of the season, and not just because Rebekah and Hope make a rare appearance, though how many vampire dramas can beat the sight of an ancient vampire as handsome as Daniel Gillies cradling a newborn? Baby cuddling aside, the episode does an excellent job shifting the character dynamics around–several new teams are formed with surprising players.
One of this season’s most interesting developments is the subtle but divisive way the werewolves are differentiated from the vampires.
