Works as a freelance music & dialogue editor and
re-recording mixer. He was won his first
Motion Picture Sound Editor "Golden Reel" award for his work as a music
editor on the IMAX film Island of the Sharks (1999). He was also nominated for
music editing on the NBC television series Cold Feet (1999), and dialog
editing on the ABC television movie Cold Feet (1999)
(starring Sidney Poitier) He has been nominated a total of 22 times. (2008)
Holds a bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, where he studied documentary filmmaking with Richard Leacock,
and separate bachelor's degree from the Berklee College of Music in
Boston, where he studied composition with Herb Pomeroy. He also holds a
M.F.A. in film production from USC.
Vice President of the Cinema Audio Society (2006 - 2010), Secretary of the Cinema Audio Society, 2011 - 2019, Board member, (2005, 2020 - present).
