The former Bond girl, 56, holds a 24-hour entertainment license for the country home - but residents claim the round-the-clock gatherings are disturbing the peace of the area. Earlier this year, the British star branded her neighbors' accusations "a storm in a teacup," and maintains the last party held at her home was in 2004. The hearing will take place at the Bath and Wansdyke Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Seymour was evacuated from her home for four days and spent every waking hour fearing that her home would be the next to be destroyed by flames. But, now she's back home - surrounded by her artwork, photographs and memorabilia, Seymour chooses to believe the fires were an act of God. She says, "I was just so incredibly thrilled to be able to come back home. It's inconceivable to me that anyone would go out of their way to make that (fire) happen. Don't even go there." The actress insists her near-death experiences have helped her deal with life's disasters: "I've had the privilege of having three near-death experiences, so I think when you've been very close to not being here at all, you realize that material things ultimately really don't matter."

25 October 2007 (WENN)
Sir Anthony Hopkins is making daily dashes between his home and Hollywood in a bid to make sure he can evacuate his property properly if California wildfires threaten his estate. The movie star and his wife live in coastal Point Dume near Santa Barbara and have so far escaped the many fires burning throughout southern California. But Hopkins isn't taking any chances, and is limiting the time he spends in Los Angeles, promoting his directorial debut Slipstream. He says, "It's (fires) a terrible thing to watch but so far we're OK. I'm going straight back to make sure everything's OK." Seymour Travels to England After Mother Passes Away
3 October 2007 (WENN)
Actress Jane Seymour's bid for dancing glory on TV in America has taken a stumble - the woman who inspired her to sign up for the current season of Dancing With The Stars has died. Seymour will miss Tuesday's live results show as she travels to England to be with her family following the death of her elderly mother. The 92-year-old died in England on Monday due to complications from a stroke. Seymour recently admitted she was inspired to take part in Dancing With The Stars after her ailing mum became excited when the British beauty told her of her plans - and uttered her first words since the stroke. In a statement, Seymour says, "My mother survived incredible challenges... Her health issues that she never complained about... three and a half years in a Japanese concentration camp in World War II and the loss of her husband John, who was the love of her life. However, she was always a beacon of love and hope for all she met and especially for my sisters Anne and Sally and for our entire family. Her spirit was indomitable and will continue to live forever in our hearts."
Seymour Sued for Party Plans
7 August 2007 (WENN)
Veteran Bond girl Jane Seymour is facing court action from neighbors furious with her plans to host all-night parties at her English country mansion. The Live and Let Die actress has transformed historic St. Catherine's Court near Bath, England, into a party venue, and hopes to hire out the stately home to revelers during the months she and producer husband James Keach are living abroad. The couple has lavished $700,000 on renovating the property since buying it in 1984, and it has become a recording base for a number of top British rock groups. But now Seymour is determined to turn her English home into a high society party palace, although obtaining a 24-hour alcohol and entertainment license for the mansion has been met with opposition from people living nearby. Members of St. Catherine's parish council insist revelers and delivery drivers are blocking lanes with traffic, and they're taking Seymour and Keach to court in a bid to overturn the license. The council's chairman Ian Plaister says, "Anger and frustration about the way in which the owners and management of St. Catherine's Court have chosen to impose a commercial business on local people with no consultation and explicitly against their wishes leaves residents with no choice but legal action."
Theron Steps In As Bond Babe Favorite?

Charlize Theron has reportedly replaced Angelina Jolie as director Martin Campbell's first choice for the latest Bond girl role. The Monster star has bewitched Campbell and executives at Sony, according to website Scotsman.com, and now she's the favorite to follow in the footsteps of Bond babes like Honor Blackman, Jane Seymour and Teri Hatcher. If selected, the South African beauty would become the second actress to star in a Bond film following an Oscar win - Halle Berry appeared in Die Another Day after picking up a golden statue for her role in Monster's Ball. Jolie has reportedly been offered the role of Vesper Lynd in the new 007 adventure, Casino Royale, but suggested the character should be "toughened up."

Seymour Rejects Reality TV Offers
14 July 2005 (WENN)
Stunning actress Jane Seymour has been inundated with offers to appear in her own reality TV show. Seymour, 54, has been contacted by a number of US network bosses hoping to sign her up for her own series - but she's refusing to accept. The British beauty says, "It wouldn't be fair (to name the proposed reality shows) because they're probably gonna make these with other people. I think actors and actresses, they have careers, they act. That's what we do. And reality shows aren't reality anyway. They're scripted. Who are we fooling? They throw ideas in. I'm just hanging in there for some more great roles like Wedding Crashers."
Smith & Seymour in the Line of Fire
30 October 2003 (WENN)
Jada Pinkett Smith and Jane Seymour are perilously close to losing their homes in the California wildfires. Both actresses own homes in the path of the fires, and they're both ready to run at any moment - but Pinkett Smith and husband Will Smith are thankful their problems are nothing compared to those already hit by the blazes. The Matrix Reloaded star says, "It's in God's hands. Will and I are doing a lot of praying and I hope the victims are feeling some of the vibrations of the prayers we're putting out in the universe." Meanwhile, Seymour, who watched fires ravage her garden in 1996, is already packed and ready to dash if she needs to. Her home is just two miles from the fires and ash has started landing on her roof. She says, "I'm really nervous. I was actually in the car with whatever I could take out of the house and the children the other night. The last time we had a fire we had to evacuate. The sky was black. It was unbelievable. Back then I filled the car with everything I could find and we left. My husband James Keach actually fought the flames." Meanwhile, Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. has been forced to evacuate his mother from her home, which is in the line of fire. He says, "They said the house will be fine, but I was like, 'Get her out now so we won't be worried about it.'" The wildfires have so far killed 14 people and destroyed over 1,000 properties.
Bondage
31 October 2002 (StudioBriefing)
Bond Girls Are Forever, a documentary due to air on the AMC channel on Nov. 6 assembles the actresses who have portrayed 007's temptresses since the original Dr. No. The film, produced and narrated by Maryam d'Abo, who appeared as a Bond girl herself in 1987's The Living Daylights, examines how the feminist movement has affected the evolution of the female lead characters. It also provides a glimpse into the unromantic business of creating onscreen romance. For example, Jane Seymour, who was the Bond girl in 1973's Live and Let Die, describes her love scenes as "torture," explaining: "The angle at which you have to pose, you really have to be a contortionist you know. If your leading man or you have any makeup on, that sort of slides from one person to another... And, of course, the hair -- it's in the way. There's nothing sexy about it at all."
Jane Seymour Launches Affordable Clothing Line
4 February 2002 (WENN)
British beauty Jane Seymour is expressing even more of her creative talents - through a new clothing line. The award-winning actress, who has portrayed stylish women from Wallis Simpson and Marie Antoinette to Maria Callas, is launching the Jane Seymour Signature Collection on Monday in New York. She says, "This is a dream for me." Seymour, 50, has teamed up with Crossing Pointe, an American catalog that offers reasonably priced clothes for busy women - a move which Seymour feels is utterly necessary in the aftermath of September 11th's atrocities. She explains, "Something interesting happened after 9/11. Spending a fortune on clothing is not something people are really able or happy to do now. I think they want affordable chic. I think they got a kick out of being able to look fabulous and say, 'Hey $59.'" Seymour, who lives in Malibu, California, with her actor and director husband James Keach and three of their six children, is also a successful painter.
Moonves: CBS Wants To Be Alone
24 July 1998 (StudioBriefing)
CBS Television chief Les Moonves Thursday discounted speculation that the network might merge with a larger media conglomerate. Speaking at the TV critics press gathering in Pasadena, Moonves said that CBS had not been in merger discussions with anyone and had "no desire to partner or merge with anybody." The CBS exec also said that his decision to cancel Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman was a difficult one. "Dr. Quinn served us well for six seasons but has had a ratings decline for five consecutive seasons, " he noted. (Appearing live on CNN Thursday, star Jane Seymour who received a best-actress Emmy nomination Thursday, was asked whether she had received any congratulations from CBS. "No, not from anyone, " she replied. "Mind you, I didn't hear from them when they canceled it, either, so....") Moonves also criticized the tendency of the TV networks to focus too narrowly on the 18-49 year-old segment. "We want to make money, " he said, "but we must do it in a way that expands the audience, not contracts it."

And, although it was not included in CBS's announced schedule, Moonves said Wednesday that Bryant Gumbel's Public Eye will continue with new content during the summer and will return "sometime during the season."
