Actress Drew Barrymore broke down in tears during a press junket for her new movie Riding In Cars With Boys due to the recent military action in Afghanistan. Barrymore and co-stars Brittany Murphy, James Woods, Adam Garcia and Desmond Harrington had convened with the film's director Penny Marshall and some 60 members of the world's press to talk about the movie Sunday. But speaking at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, a visibly shaken Barrymore had little interest in promoting her flick. She said, "I wanted to go home this morning and I didn't think that anyone needed to hear anything from me today. I felt so trivial and so confused and so extraordinarily lost. I've never had to do my job in a time of war and I don't know how to do my job right now and I'm learning literally in front of you and that is very humiliating and embarrassing because you just do feel trivial at a time like this." But Marshall insisted that life must go on adding, "The Mayor of New York has asked us to come to New York for the premiere, and we will because they need it. They need the business, they need a distraction from what's going on." But Woods, who plays Barrymore's father in the movie, announced that due to recent events he would not attend the film's New York premiere as he wouldn't fly.
