Knight Rider #1-8
Written by Geoffrey Thorne and Shannon Eric Denton
Illustrated by Jason Johnson and Brian Denham
Colored by Sai Studios and Milen Parvanov
Lettered by Andworld Design
Edited by Kristen Fitzner Denton
Published by Idw
In the mid-1980s, one of the hot topics in the school yard was which car was better, the Dukes of Hazard’s General Lee or Knight Rider’s Kitt. To just about any kid growing up in the 80s, Kitt was the clear winner considering it boasted turbo boosts, ejector seats, a bulletproof body, and a super-sophisticated artificial intelligence that could control the car without needing a driver behind the wheel. And that artificial intelligence, voiced by William Daniels, was just as charismatic as costar David Hasselhoff, who played Michael Knight, the infamous “man who does not exist.” The show is cheesy – as most shows from the 80s are – but brilliant all...

Chavo Guererro is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and one of the finest pro wrestlers of his generation. He had a notable run in the 90’s into the 2000’s, finding fame in WCW before transitioning into success with the WWE. Fans will never forget his tag matches with Eddie Guerrero, or some of the stunning efforts he had against Rey Mysterio.
Chavo really was the complete worker. Whether it was mat wrestling or top rope flying, he did everything with speed and smoothness that translated beautifully on screen.
Following his exit from the WWE in 2011, Chavo enjoyed a brief run in Tna, and can currently be seen on the exciting Lucha Underground show. However, it is Guerrero’s new project in the comic book world that has got wrestling fans talking, and he reached out to WhatCulture to reveal all about his comic future. The book will...

The X-Files Annual #1
Writers: Frank Spotnitz, Gabe Rotter & Shannon Eric Denton
Art: Stuart Sayger, Andrew Currie
Colours: Matheus Lopes
Letters: Neil Uyetake
Editor: Denton J. Tipton
Executive Producer: Chris Carter
Publisher: Idw
Purchase: http://shop.idwpublishing.com/comics/series/t-z/the-x-files.html
Last year, Idw, working closely with Chris Carter, successfully launched the tenth season of The X-Files in comic book form. Now the dynamic duo are back again in a special double-stuffed annual that features two ‘lost’ stories from Mulder and Scully’s earlier days. Luckily, for readers, this annual feels more like a season 3 X-Files episode than a season 9 one. If you’re an X-Files fan, then you know what that means.
The annual features two separate stories, with the first serving as the “monster of the week” tale. In it, a man is brutally murdered while on his amazing mid-Nineties flip phone. Leaving a pregnant wife at home,...

ThunderCats creator Shannon Eric Denton, original Lion-o voice actor Larry Kenney and art director Dan Norton attended the recent Power Con, where they disclosed what the reboot would have explored in a second season. Season 2 would have reportedly focused on Snarf reports MTV Geek: One character who would have gotten a surprising showcase is Snarf, Lion-o’s former babysitter. Norton pointed out a number of times that Snarf had seemingly been electrocuted and battered, indicating that it would have been revealed that Snarf was actually indestructible. “We would have learned that Snarf was in fact impervious to damage, the result of ancient experimentation by Mumm-Ra to create a genetically-superior race. This tinkering would ultimately lead to the creation of the ThunderCats.” There would also have been a focus on Pumyra and Slithe, with the former, "motivated by her resentment at not being saved by Claudius as well as her own...

Back in the 90’s Marvel were well known for their tremendous animated series – X-Men, Spiderman, Silver Surfer. But one cartoon that never made the airwaves was Captain America. In 1998, Saban Entertainment teamed up once more with Marvel to begin work on an animated series based on one of the most iconic of Marvel’s characters…
Will Meugniot (who had also worked on another war-based cartoon, G.I. Joe: The Movie) was asked to design the series alongside Frank Gomez, Shannon Denton, Roy Burdine and John Fang; and the series’ writing staff included comic book writers and authors, including Michael Reaves and Steve Engleheart. On the whole, the series was faithful to the 1940’s era Captain America in much the same way that Stan and Jack’s 1960’s retelling of Cap’s golden age stories were true to their source material – there were some changes, notably that Cap worked alongside a team...

Most of the key cast members in Mark Millar and Matthew Vaughn's too-young-to-drink superhero saga Kick-Ass are currently going through those formative years where a sudden Harry Potter-style growth spurt could end up maturing them dramatically almost over night. As such, any sequel to the movie would need to be put on the fast track and, according to Sci Fi Wire's new interview with Millar, that's indeed what is happening. As well as the sequel, Millar also mentioned the planned adaptations of War Heroes and American Jesus. Details after the break. Peter reported exclusively last September that the big-screen take on War Heroes was caught in a behind-the-scenes clash with a proposed adaptation of Shannon Eric Denton and Keith Giffen's Grunts. Similarities between the two series were apparently holding back both projects, though I have to admit I'm a little surprised. We can have, for example, dueling films...
