The New York Observer named the former publisher of Spin magazine as its new president Wednesday -- and endorsed a new president for the country, too. With S.W.A.T: Firefight out on DVD this week, our friend Harrison Pierce sat down with actor Gabriel Macht and director Benny Boom to talk all things S.W.A.T. 2…
Gabriel, what appealed to you about this role and film?
Gabriel: I’d done a film called Middle Men and I played an I.T. guy and a rocket scientist and there was no real action other than a couple slap fights and wrestling. That was a lot of fun. I love that movie. Then I made this film called Love and Other Drugs, where I was a pharmaceutical salesman. It’s just been a while since I made an action film and I wanted to get back into that and involve myself in the physical demands of being in that type of environment. I sat down with Benny and I liked his vision and I thought the character was really interesting.
