He and his wife Joanna had twins on 11 February 2004. They had one boy
and one girl, Gabriel and Astrid.
He was considered for the part of Charlie in the TV show Lost (2004), but
the writers decided to change the characteristics of Charlie and the
role went to Dominic Monaghan instead.
Studied for three years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and
Drama in Glasgow.
