Halloween has arrived, and celebrities have gone all out to dress up as other pop cultural icons. The SAG-AFTRA guidelines for Halloween this year advised members to not post photos of costumes inspired by struck work on social media, to choose costumes inspired by generalized Halloween tropes or to dress up as characters from non-struck content like cartoons or other animated TV shows.
“SAG-AFTRA issued Halloween guidance in response to questions from content creators and members about how to support the strike during this festive season. This was meant to help them avoid promoting struck work, and it is the latest in a series of guidelines we have issued,” the guild said in a statement.
But not all actors complied.

For those of us who have been here for a decade or two, it’s remarkable to consider both how much and how little the city of Los Angeles has changed over the years. Hartford, Connecticut—Welcome to 90s Con, where the Nineties live on. The decade where all that glitters is gold. Fans of 1990s pop culture have made the pilgrimage here on an arctic March day for a weekend of time travel, transforming the Connecticut Convention Center into a pastel love-fest. Reality? Adulthood? The passage of time? As a great woman once said: As if.
Outside these walls, the years start coming, and they don’t stop coming. But in here, the Nineties dream lives forever. The place is packed with stars.

Clueless came out in 1995, and since then, it’s become an iconic part of American culture. In fact, it remains so beloved that Alicia Silverstone, who played the starring role of Cher in the film, brought back the character for a commercial during this year’s Super Bowl. Before Clueless became a movie, it was almost created as a TV series instead. But the studio executives passed on the idea because they thought it was missing one important element.

Stacey Dash and Elisa Donovan from 1995’s Clueless are opening up about where they think their characters would be in a possible remake.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at ’90s Con over the weekend, Dash said it “would be up to Amy [Heckerling, the original movie’s director]” as to whether the cast would get back together for another take on the ’90s staple.
“Everybody seems to think that we have some sort of opinion or idea,” Donovan added. “I certainly feel like there is a real desire from fans and the public to see that.”
As for where their characters, Dionne and Amber, would be more than two and a half decades later, Donovan said that “seeing them as adults and in their lives as grown-ups and with children or without children would be pretty hilarious.”

Paul Rudd has been a beloved actor for nearly three decades, with his breakthrough role coming in the 90s teen classic Clueless. His performance as Josh Lucas in the movie set him on course to appear in several comedy classics. However, if Rudd had his own way, he would’ve starred in the film as a different character. He was initially more interested in one of the other attendees of Bronson Alcott High School, but Rudd was talked out of auditioning for that role for reasons he couldn’t really argue with at the time.
Paul Rudd played a sensitive heartthrob in ‘Clueless’
At the beginning of Clueless, Josh and Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) have next to nothing in common. He’s a slightly pretentious college student. She’s a class-obsessed popular girl who can talk her way out of nearly any high school problem she faces. They were also former step-siblings,...

For many of us, cinema is an awakening. It is revelatory in that it can showcase what is possible. The moving image acts as a mirror, showing us who we are and giving us glimpses of who we could be. But what happens when you can’t see yourself?
In a 2019 study, the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media examined the representation of Black women in Hollywood. The organization determined that while Black girls and women are 6.5 percent of the U.S. population, only 3.7 percent of leads/co-leads in the 100 top-grossing films of the last decade fit that demographic. In short, for Black girls and teens, seeing themselves on screen is still a rarity.

Super Bowl commercials are often a haven of reunions and nostalgia grabs. In years past, they’ve seen the likes of Matthew Broderick return to play himself, similar to his famous Ferris Bueller character. Recently, Zach Galligan reunited with Gizmo for a commercial. Last night, Alicia Silverstone stepped back into her Cher attire for a Clueless tribute for a Super Bowl commercial for Rakuten, Deadline reports.
The Big Game TV Spot depicted Cher Horowitz in her former debate class, being interrupted by her rival, Amber, which sees Eliza Donovan back in the film role as well. The spot mirrors a similar scene in the 1995 Amy Heckerling comedy in which Cher gives a presentation in Mr. Hall’s debate class against the opposing party represented by Amber. In the twist for the TV spot, it’s not the same class, but a modern-day school class.

Stacey Dash became one of the most recognized faces in the world when she starred alongside Alicia Silverstone in the 90s smash hit Clueless. She played Cher’s best friend, Dionne, in the movie. She was equally clueless, hanging out, shopping, and being your average high school student with wealthy parents and life in Beverly Hills, California. The movie was such a success, but most people didn’t realize at the time that Stacey Dash was already 28 when she starred in the movie. She was substantially older than the other girls who played her best friends in the movie. Regardless, however,

There was a lot of inaction in Season 4’s midseason finale of Tyler Perry’s Sistas. But the only thing fans wanted — and never received — was seeing Fatima and Zac, aka “Zatima,” get back together again.

On any other show, a woman in heels wielding a baseball bat would be no threat to two men. But Tyler Perry’s Sistas isn’t like other series, and when Season 4’s midseason finale airs this Wednesday at 9/8c on BET, Fatima and her bat are going to give the drama’s two biggest villains the business.
Crystal Hayslett, who has quickly become a Sistas fan favorite as Fatima, can’t reveal what her character knows about Hayden and Gary’s trespasses against her boyfriend Zac, or if the two dudes have anything to do with his exaggerated criminal charges.

“Scream” star and ’90s icon Jamie Kennedy plays abortion-rights advocate Larry Leder in the newly opened “Roe v. Wade,” Cathy Allyn and Nick Loeb’s anti-abortion propaganda film that unpacks the “conspiracy” that led to one of the most famous court cases of all time. Kennedy said he didn’t fully understand the film’s anti-abortion bent until production was under way. As he told The Daily Beast in a new interview, he was lured to the film because of its star power — namely, in the form of Jon Voight and Stacey Dash, among others.
“In Hollywood, a lot of people were talking about this movie, and first and foremost, I’m an actor. I act,” Kennedy said. “I’ve worked with Jon Voight twice before, and he’s one of the greatest actors ever. I thought it was an important story, and to be honest, I got offered the role.

Rightwing faces, including Jon Voight, Stacey Dash and Tomi Lahren, join forces for a shoddy new drama purporting to tell the truth behind a major ruling
Nick Loeb and Cathy Allyn believe you’ve been lied to about the landmark supreme court case Roe v Wade – a decision that protected a woman’s right to choose. In a controversial new movie named after the trial, the co-directors want to explain how decision was rigged; how a Jewish doctor (Loeb is of Jewish descent himself) leveraged abortion into a money making scheme; how the abortion rights advocate Lawrence Lader (Jamie Kennedy) concocted a plan to puppeteer two inexperienced female lawyers to prey on a supposedly desperate bumpkin in Norma McCorvey (Summer Joy Campbell) – the Roe in Roe v Wade – to weaponize her to an unsuspecting court system. And they want to spew this deeply biased anti-abortion malarkey as inartfully as possible.
