- DirectorK. AsifStarsPrithviraj KapoorMadhubalaDilip KumarA 16th century prince falls in love with a court dancer and battles with his emperor father.Masterpiece. Poetic portrayal of love, grandoise sets, great dialogues and iconic acting by the trio of Prithviraj Kapoor, Madhubala and Dilip Kumar.
- DirectorJyoti SwaroopStarsSunil DuttSaira BanuMehmoodA simple man from a village falls in love with his new neighbor. He enlists the help of his musical-theater friends to woo the lovely girl-next-door away from her music teacher. One of the best comedies from Bollywood about a man who tries to woo his neighbour with the help of his master. Kishore Kumar and his gang members, Mehmood, Sunil Dutt, Saira Banu were all in perfect sync with each other. It was silly and I laughed my ass off the entire movie. Not a single moment of boredom.
- DirectorAbrar AlviStarsMeena KumariGuru DuttRehman KhanA lowly servant, Bhootnath gets close to the wife of his employer and narrates her story through his eyes and perspective. One of Meena Kumari's most fantastic and iconic performance as Choti Bahu. A film way ahead of its time in depicting the conundrum of a woman who breaks conventions to please her husband and yet is trapped by the very society who taught her to worship her husband. Guru Dutt, and Rehman were great as well.

He despises the daughter by day, and adores her when drunk at night. Uma's life gets better as she comes of age and has a relationship with a sensitive poet, Ashok (Dharmendra), who slowly brings her out of her shell.A sensitive and tender romance showcasing the way a man brings a reserved and fragile girl out of her shell. I was moved to tears by the end. One of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's finest.
- DirectorHrishikesh MukherjeeStarsBalraj SahniLeela NaiduAbhi BhattacharyaA lonely housewife, who gave up her promising singing career to marry an idealistic village-doctor, begins to regret her decision.Has a woman ever looked as fragile, soft and feminine as Leela Naidu looked in this film, I doubt it. She brought out her yearning for her husband so sincerely. Balraj Sahni complimented her equally as the devoted doctor. A very very underrated pair and love story.

A complete entertainer with the evergreen Dilip Kumar and brilliant Meena Kumari.
- DirectorGovind SaraiyaStarsNutanManishVijaya ChoudhuryA man regrets his decision of refusing to marry the woman he loves.
- DirectorA. BhimsinghStarsDilip KumarWaheeda RehmanManoj KumarRajesh, though orphaned at a very age, comes from a very wealthy and noble family, is very insecure and possessive almost to the point of an obsession. As a child he had loved a girl named Meena, and when she tragically passes away, Rajesh substituted her with a doll. When he found that another young boy had touched the doll, he starts a fight with him, and ends up killing him. Years later, Rajesh has grown up, but still has the doll in his closet drawer, he has fallen in love with a woman named Meena and wants to marry her. He even gives Girdharilal, Meena's dad, some money so that he can get his eldest daughter, Parvati, married to Prem, the son of money-lender, Mayadas. He introduces Meena to his close and best friend, Dr. Shekhar, and soon gets formally engaged to Meena. Thereafter, Rajesh and Meena have an automobile accident, in which Rajesh becomes paralyzed and must be confined in a wheelchair. It is then that Rajesh finds out that Shekhar and Meena are having an affair, and the old murderous and possessive hatred, that he had managed to conceal, surfaces again - and this time it will be Shekhar's turn. Not your usual love triangle. Dilip Kumar's confrontation with the demons of his past, and his chemistry with Waheeda Rehman elevated this otherwise mediocre film.
- DirectorAsit SenStarsRajesh KhannaWaheeda RehmanNasir HussainTale of a female nurse trying to maintain a balance between her professional life and her emotions who falls victim to the natural feeling of love and compassion when a person takes care of another person.Interesting concept, subpar execution. Dwelling into her psychology a little more and creating a stronger foundation for her 'falling in love with the patient' would have explained things better. Nonetheless, great acting from Waheeda Rahman and Rajesh Khanna.

- DirectorM. SadiqStarsWaheeda RehmanGuru DuttRehman KhanThe setting is the city of Lucknow in northern India, where Islamic culture flourished. Two of the three best friends who live in this city have unknowingly fallen in love with the same woman, Jameela. Aslam and Nawab are the two friends caught in this love triangle.Would have rated this movie a masterpiece if not for the ending where the problem of treating a woman like a thing that could be given away was brushed aside casually. Guru Dutt's poorest film.
