In a rage Adrian shoots Bob and flees, and happiness comes to Bob and Molly when word comes of Adrian's death in a railroad accident. Barclay's wife's death leads the financier to believe that he is being punished for ruthlessly crushing his rivals, and he distributes his fortune to those whose businesses he has ruined.

Bill has his suspicions, but tells them to go ahead. They sell stock to the town folks. When the two crooks are about to make their getaway, Bill steps in. With the help of the girl the money is saved. Getting back to town, Bill tells the stockholders that the well is a gusher which the promoters have capped, thus hoping to buy back the stock and make the entire fortune. The indignant citizens chase the promoters out of town. Bill and the girl have a private meeting at the church, where the knot is tied.

After defeating the outlaws, Herbert marries Loretta and invites her father to live with them.

After arriving on the plantation, Dick opens the package to find a pair of women's stockings. Richmond's gang of robbers fear that Dick will reveal their plot to the Lovejoys and abduct him. Dick warns his hosts by wrapping a message around a rock, placing it in one of the stockings, and throwing it through a window. It lands on the dining room table during a Christmas dinner party and the plot is thwarted. Dick is welcomed as a guest, given new clothes, and offered a job; but the next morning he resumes his wandering.

Episode 4: The Intrigue. On a yachting tour of the world, Reginald Vandebrook, reaching a foreign country, falls in love with a girl he has never seen before; he hears her called Princess and follows her into a building. There he is surrounded by East Indians who are about to murder him. He awakens to find himself in a dentist's chair having a tooth extracted.
