60 Favorite Pretty Actresses of RavenGlamDVDCollector at ElectricLadyLand
Glamorous girls. Hollywood overflows with them. Prime quality Eye Candy. They flock there like lemmings and only a few get their dreams fulfilled and get to be starlets hailed as The Next Big Thing for a couple of months till The Next Big Thing comes along. And to an overawed fan boy like me, there is just nothing prettier than these screen butterflies. RavenGlamDVDCollector has made a study of them. He has drooled and whimpered and howled (and begged the Casting Directors to borrow just one, just one, but no! :)) and generally cursed his fate. Celluloid foxes and video vixens, angels of desire. I share an obsession with IMDb founder Col. Needham, “Those Eyes”. With this List, I try to bring honor to the actresses who have fascinated me. Some in ball gowns and designer dresses and stiletto heels, others in string bikinis and barefoot. Makes no difference to The Raven. Bright eyes, glossy hair and long limbs do it for me (and if they can act convincingly it's a plus, but if not, I'd still cheer for you, baby!). Wade with me onwards through this list, people, and you'll be introduced to those who have hypnotized Silly Old Excitable Me through the years.

Mischa Barton is a versatile actress with a passion for storytelling and an impressive career spanning over two decades. Working with such acclaimed directors and writers as M. Night Shyamalan, James Lapine and Naomi Wallace, she is known for her magnetic on-screen presence and natural acting abilities that have captivated audiences worldwide. She has earned her reputation as one of the most talented performers of her generation.
Born in London, England, Barton quickly made her mark in the entertainment industry with her debut film role in "Lawn Dogs" (1997). From there, she continued to showcase her versatility in a variety of film and television projects, including the hit supernatural thriller "The Sixth Sense" (1999) and the critically acclaimed drama series "Once and Again" (2002-2003).
However, it was her iconic role as Marissa Cooper in the hit television series "The O.C." (2003-2006) that truly launched Barton to superstardom. Her portrayal of the troubled, yet lovable character resonated with audiences worldwide, cementing her place as a pop culture icon and earning her widespread critical acclaim with critics praising her nuanced portrayal of a complex character.
She has appeared in several stage productions throughout her career, including the acclaimed Off-Broadway productions of "Where the Truth Lies," "Twelve Dreams," and "One Flea Spare." Her performances were praised for their depth, nuance, and emotional range, demonstrating her versatility as an actress.Though I love the brunette photograph on IMDb, I first encountered Mischa as a blonde in THE O.C. Season 1, and tonight I'm watching the final episode of Season 2. I'm still raving about LOST AND DELIRIOUS, in which she is more-or-less a 14 year old, the very likable, intensely vulnerable Mary 'Mouse' Bradford caught in the middle of her roommates' same-sex love affair, and recently I bought LAWN DOGS in which she is an 11 year old. Planning to obtain ASSASSINATION OF A HIGH SCHOOL PRESIDENT, and watched VIRGIN TERRITORY and HIGH OCTANE, both of which weren't what I'd hoped for. As for WALLED IN, quite disappointing, but let me return to the main subject here: THE O.C. I'd not have gone that route had it not been for having seen countless pics of Mischa and her little dog :) during those days, so I knew about this Golden Fox and I went for a show I wouldn't normally have taken a bite at. For sure, when I watched the first episode, my heart sank. Not my thing. Until Marissa Cooper appeared about midway. And I was hooked! I think she's the real Princess Sparkle! Okay, so checking out the comments on the board, I see she has lots of people who pass sneering comments, they are clearly equally besotted, but too envious to admit. We all know that some people are just dying to lose weight, but can't, and they get emotionally upset, sour grapes and all that, and then they take it out on Mischa. She's sleek and elegant. Sigh, and super unattainable. Well, tough luck, fellas. At least I have the honor to say that she served as my muse, as I have a wonderful idea for a very outrageous thriller, but casting it in my mind, these Earthlings fall so merely short when it comes to My Little Angel, but closest to perfection was Mischa Barton during those O.C. years. And with her in mind, she helped me visualize my female lead. In the unlikely event of publication, I'll see to it that her (far-off) assistance gets credited.
I have noticed that she plays the part of Marissa very airily, and strongly suspect she was just Mischa being Mischa, but I can only applaud. Her best performance for me, this far, would be LOST AND DELIRIOUS, which I heartily recommend. I unfortunately know what's going to happen with her character in Season 3 of THE O.C. and can just ponder the notion of that wistfully*. Mischa, thank you for just being alive, you are a most glorious creature!
*yeah, finally reached that, and sat there teary-eyed, three seasons of this girl, this wonderful princessly creature, three seasons, and now...
Having just this week finally gotten around to LAWN DOGS, wow, what can I say? This girl was a child star that showed a truckload of talent. True, her beauty makes her irresistible, and I think there are lots of stretches of Mischa-film out there were she could have given more but the directors were so thrilled with her they didn't care, and especially in LAWN DOGS this is clearly apparent, as there are bits where she seems to be just parroting her lines, but wait! there are other bits where she is just completely and undeniably the most astonishing find, the character nailed perfectly. Especially in that last scene where she sits in the ribbon-festooned tree.
The Raven would also concede that, constructive criticism aside, you have to take into allowance that children's performances in film are of course affected by Child Labor Laws governing time spent on the set, so, reshooting some scenes were most likely out of the question. Which is a pity, because with a little bit of extra attention weeding out obvious weak spots, LAWN DOGS could have been even better, a clearly attainable objective.- Actress

Jamie Michelle Luner was born on Wednesday, May 12, 1971 to Stuart and Susan Luner in Palo Alto, California. She grew up with her older brother, David Luner, and her mom Susan in California. Before landing her roles on Just the Ten of Us (1987) as dizzy "Cindy Lubbock", Jamie began her career in front of the cameras at the tender age of three doing TV commercials. At 15 she won the L.A. Shakespeare Festival in the category of monologues. She was still working on Just the Ten of Us (1987), while attending Beverly Hills High School, from which she graduated in 1989. She took a break from acting, attended culinary school, and was a chef at French restaurant Drai's after Just the Ten of Us (1987) was canceled in 1991.
She returned to TV in Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter? (1993) in 1993 with a few small parts in shows such as Married... with Children (1987), Diagnosis Murder (1993). Then, she got her first break as Southern seductress "Peyton Richards" in Savannah (1996). After the prime-time soap was canceled, Jamie and her then-boyfriend Johnny Braz traveled around the US in an Airstream motor home before she landed the role of "Lexi" in Melrose Place (1992). After the Fox soap ended in 1999, so did her four-year-romance. Then after Ally Walker left, Jamie joined the cast of Profiler (1996) as "Rachel Burke".
Later she was in ABC's short-lived 10-8: Officers on Duty (2003). Then, in 2005, she had lead roles in Lifetime's, Blind Injustice (2005), Stranger in My Bed (2005) and, in 2006, The Suspect (2006), The Perfect Marriage (2006) and a guest spot on The War at Home (2005).
Jamie has also done theater work in Santa Monica in "Black & Bluestein", Other Space, Santa Monica and The Young Playwrites Festival in Los Angeles.Jamie first came to my attention in JUST THE TEN OF US, but the Lubbock babe did not make as much waves in the schmaltzy little show as she did years later with what was to me a mega-hit, the thoroughly enjoyable SAVANNAH, as scheming Peyton Richards, 1996's hottest TV chick! Foxy Peyton made that show! Years later, and even after having obtained a DVD-Rare copy, I am still clamoring for a proper official store-legal DVD release of this masterpiece. Pleasantly surprised to have encountered her as Lexi Sterling in MELROSE PLACE where at first they obviously didn't really know what to do with that character and sexy Lexi took a long time to find her niche, and by then MELROSE PLACE was almost over. But imagine, casting her as a character that was hard-up for a date, who had to hire people to fix her up with a Mr. Right? Unfortunately, CONFESSIONS OF A SORORITY GIRL turned out to be mostly disappointing, but the show to focus on, 1996 - 1997, Aaron Spelling's SAVANNAH on the WB. Peyton could be however devious, you could see she had a soft center. The cutest little fox, due to her hair color and contriving nature, almost literally. Notice that the picture alongside here, is fairly recent, so check out SAVANNAH by downloading whatever you can find, or supporting DVD-Rare, they can be trusted to deliver. And, Jamie, thanks, you're great!
Last week watched SAVANNAH #2 ep. 03 “The Family Jewels” and Jamie's really hitting her stride, fully in her zone as Peyton Richards. Scheming, conniving, one-upmanship (one-upgirlship?) as only a chestnut-maned Southern filly intent on getting her slice of the pie (and some cream too!) can do it! Just now watched ep. 04 “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words” and Peyton had that wonderful line, even though I cannot really hear the exact words, so I'll stick to quoting it as “When I walk down that aisle, it sure would be the frosting on the cake when I dip my trailer-park toes into his ('blueberry pie', I always thought, but it could be 'blue infinity pool'), yessiree Bob” - well, that's how I make it out, but whatever! she's really in full gear now. Up to ep. 08 now, with that wonderfully over-the-top scene at the tennis court where she gave Ted Shackleford the full wattage of her sex appeal showing off her long, long legs, soon followed by her display of arched feet nestling in high-heels, creamy-smooth calves and mouth-wateringly juicy thighs as she climbed into his car. His expression and softly-uttered exclamation was that of my own! Another week later, and I've thoroughly enjoyed “It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Boat”.
It can be said beyond reasonable doubt that Jamie Luner was the sexiest girl on TV at her time. Unlike BAYWATCH starlets, she did it fully-clothed (well, bare-legged) most of the time. There were several scenes in which her bare back represented the rest of her nakedness. Peyton Richards, if you're going to catch my drift, is much more of a on-screen sexual creature than all of the BAYWATCH dollies combined. So, with the lack of a proper DVD release of SAVANNAH, people just do not realize what they've missed out on!
If you think you know Jamie Luner after having seen MELROSE PLACE, I have news for you. You haven't seen Jamie if you haven't seen SAVANNAH, which is Jamie at her peak. The episodes are downloadable, or the DVD-R version can be bought from DVD-Rare, but be warned that the quality is far from perfect, though entirely worthwhile.- Actress

Bridget Regan is an American actress and producer. In television she presently appears on ABC's The Rookie (2018) where TVLine declared her performance as Monica Stevens "deserved her own spinoff series." In 2021 Regan brought to life the iconic DC supervillain Poison Ivy in Batwoman (2019). Cody Schultz of Bang Smack Pow declared "Regan delivered a performance nothing short of outstanding... Regan's portrayal of Poison Ivy was nuanced and layered, bringing a depth and complexity to the character that we haven't seen before in live-action." In 2020 Bridget Regan starred in Paramount's gothic mystery series Paradise Lost (2020) opposite Josh Hartnett, Barbara Hershey and Nick Nolte. Prior to that she starred as the villain Rose, a.k.a. Sin Rostro, the sexually fluid crime lord on the Golden Globe nominated series, Jane the Virgin (2014) for five seasons. This, as well as portraying the Marvel's original Black Widow, the Soviet trained assassin Dottie Underwood, in Agent Carter (2015) opposite Hayley Atwell, and the MI6 spy turned con artist, Rebecca Lowe, opposite Matt Bomer on USA's White Collar (2009) made E! News declare her "The Ultimate Kick-Butt Villain... she may seem sweet and unassuming but this redhead is playing the most basass villains on TV." From 2015-2018 Regan starred opposite Eric Dane as the bad ass, multi-lingual Navy Intel Officer, Sasha Cooper, on the TNT's hit action drama series The Last Ship (2014) produced by Michael Bay. Originally from Carlsbad, California, Regan relocated to New York City upon graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts under the direction of theater legend Gerald Freedman (BFA '04). In 2007 Regan originated the role of Cecile Leroux on Broadway in the French farce IS HE DEAD? opposite Norbert Leo Butz written by Mark Twain, adapted by David Ives and directed by Michael Blakemore. Regan has produced multiple productions Off Broadway and at the iconic La MaMa Theater of the electro pop queer musical Camp Wanatachi written by Natalie Weiss and Bekah Brunstetter. She has a feature film off of Camp Wanatachi in development with Zaden Meron Productions. She lives in Los Angeles with her partner, film writer and director Eamon O'Sullivan, and their two children, Frankie Jean and Barney Moon.I've only seen her on her stint with BEAUTY & THE BEAST. From the moment Alex Salter appears, Vincent goes for her, leaving Catherine behind. Same here. It's not exactly a small part, but relatively fleeting, considering that I just cannot get enough of those pretty eyes and the glorious reddish mane. But now Alex has boarded the bus, and there's that killer-type behind her, and she's gonna be written out of the story... Unless she reappears in Season 2. Look, I don't wanna know season spoilers, okay? But I suppose she might not be seen again. Will have to track her down in something more permanent!- Actress

AnnaLynne McCord is an American actress, writer, director and former model. Known for playing vixen-type roles. McCord first gained prominence in 2007 as the scheming Eden Lord on the FX television series Nip/Tuck (2003), and as the pampered Loren Wakefield on the MyNetworkTV telenovela American Heiress (2007).
In 2008, she was the second actress to be cast in the CW series 90210 (2008), portraying anti-heroine Naomi Clark. Initially, the part of Clark was conceived as a supporting role. By the end of the first season, however, various media outlets had begun referring to McCord as the series' lead. For the role of Naomi Clark, she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award and received the Hollywood Life Young Hollywood Superstar of Tomorrow award in 2009. In 2010, she won a Breakthrough of the Year Award in the category of "Breakthrough Standout Performance".
In 2011, she was nominated for VH1's "Do Something" Award in the category of "TV Star". Her turn as a disturbed and delusional teenager in the 2012 film Excision (2012) was widely acclaimed. For her role in Excision, McCord won "Best Actress" at the Malaga International Week of Fantastic Cinema in 2012. Also for her role in Excision, she earned second place for "Best Actress" at the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards in 2013.
Apart from acting, she has also contributed to charities in her free time. She's both the Ohs in 90210. Shenae Grimes is the lead actress. Yeah, right. It's been AnnaLynne McCord from Day One there. The moment Naomi Clark appears on-screen, you know that is the one to watch. Samantha from SEX & THE CITY reborn in younger form! Haven't seen her in anything else except bits and pieces of AMERICAN HEIRESS on the Net, and I wouldn't touch that EXCISION thing with a long stick. Already waded into dark territory for her with NIP/TUCK in which she's Eden Lord, but that's way deep into the series, haven't reached that yet, and can't comment. She has an amazing figure, especially in this day and age when slender hour-glass bodies seem to give way to much heavier thick-waisted shapes. And of course she catches flak for that, from the haters, who are so green with envy they could camouflage themselves with leaves. Funny how history repeats itself, she was supposed to be the bad girl in 90210, just like Jennie Garth before her. With an actress with a presence like that of AnnaLynne, good thing she wasn't just a cardboard character, but a complex multi-faceted (even if totally vain) whirlwind constantly landing in hot water. Granted, there are plenty of other beauties in that show, but she is the cherry on top.
Currently watching Season 4, and it should be noted that if ever there was a sport, it is AnnaLynne. Clearly, the scriptwriters are having a whale of a time inventing scenarios where she has to do outrageous things (walking around on campus in her lingerie, seducing love interest in lingerie, landing in a tub of green jello at the games). I know it's a couple of years ago, but I've only seen it now, and this fan just says 'Wow, I salute you!'...
After all, main reason for the show's success... Without her, who would have tuned in (or bought the DVDs) for Dixon and Annie Wilson?
It is also noted that AnnaLynne must be an animal lover. She gets a whole lot of scenes with animals, most notably that one early in Season 4 with the pig, and this week I saw the one with the horse. It says a whole lot of good things about her personality. She is, oddly enough given her sexual appeal, evolving as a comedienne. Naomi is to 90210 what Samantha (Kim Cattrall) is to SEX & THE CITY.- Actress

Jennifer Love Hewitt was born in Waco, Texas, to Patricia Mae (Shipp), a speech-language pathologist, and Herbert Daniel Hewitt, a medical technician. She has English, Italian, French, Scottish, and German ancestry. She got her first name from her older brother Todd Daniel Hewitt (b. November 8, 1970), who picked the name after a little blonde girl on whom he'd had a crush. Her mother selected Jennifer's middle name, Love (which she goes by offstage), from her best college friend. Her parents separated when she was six months old and her mother raised her in Killeen, Texas.
Hewitt made her official performing debut at age 3 when she sang at a livestock show. At age 5, she was taking tap, jazz, and ballet lessons, which led to her joining the Texas Show Team, who toured the Soviet Union and Europe. When she was 10 her family moved to Los Angeles with encouragement from talent scouts, while Todd stayed behind to finish high school in Texas Jennifer quickly found commercial work and a role on Disney's Kids Incorporated (1984) in 1989. She went through a series of television flops before finally hitting it big on Party of Five (1994) in 1995.America's sweetheart. The main reason why I watch that ol' tearjerker PARTY OF FIVE (oh, I can tie a knot in Bailey's nose!) (and please please please do not mention Julia Salinger) (and couldn't Claudia have stayed little?) and obviously the reason why I wanna see TIME OF YOUR LIFE even though it's been made a laughing stock. Of course, there is more to her than Sarah, she was absolutely amazing in I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, and even has a successful singing career, with a great music video, HOW DO I DEAL, which features scenes from the movie. There was a sequel, I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, which I haven't gotten around to yet. HÊARTBREAKERS is a goodie, THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE isn't anything way special, but IF ONLY... wow, if you're a true Love fan, you're gonna cry with dismay! Highly recommended! As for her new stuff, I saw a glimpse of GHOST WHISPERER with overly sweet little boys and it put me off that show for life! Season 1 of THE CLIENT LIST I'm watching pretty soon. But my favorite Jennifer Love Hewitt incarnation will forever be Sarah Owen. Bailey is dense to the extreme! How can one overlook the perfect, perfect girlfriend if she stands before you with those big soulfilled eyes? PARTY OF FIVE seasons 2 and 3 also highly recommended for Jennifer Love Hewitt fans; truth be told, in seasons 4 and 5 the magic is gone, and I do not expect it to return in season 6 as the decline of the whole thing there is utterly consistent. But, wow, there is no shortage of highly watchable Love films!- Actress

Lyndsy Marie Fonseca was born in Oakland, California, and was raised first in Alameda and then Moraga, California. Lyndsy competed in the International Modeling & Talent Association, where she was recognized as the second runner-up for "Young Miss Dancer of the Year" and was the first runner-up for "Miss Barbizon Young Miss Talent of the Year".
There, she was discovered by a manager and agent, then she immediately moved to Los Angeles for her first pilot season at the age of 13. "Colleen Carlton" became her breakthrough role on the CBS soap opera, The Young and the Restless (1973), on which she starred for three years.
After leaving Y&R to broaden her horizon, Lyndsy landed guest appearances on shows such as Boston Public (2000), CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000) and House (2004), just to name a few. Fonseca had a recurring role on the hit series, Desperate Housewives (2004), opposite [error] and Nathan Fillion. She has also had recurring arcs on the critically-acclaimed series, Big Love (2006), and the hit comedy, How I Met Your Mother (2005).
Fonseca has recently had success on the big screen, her film credits include: The Ward (2010), Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), Fort McCoy (2011) and the smash hit, Kick-Ass (2010), in which she starred opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Lyndsy recently completed filming the two-hour Lifetime movie, Five (2011), which consists of five short films about breast cancer, directed by Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Penelope Spheeris.
Lyndsy is now starring as "Alex", in The CW's Nikita (2010). Alex, Nikita's (Maggie Q) former partner who plans to take down her old ally while also seeking revenge on the man who killed her family, Friday nights 8p.m. Eastern.
Lyndsy is also the older sister of Hannah Leigh, who is following in her footsteps.Admittedly, I've seen her only once, and not even a full week ago, in the first episode of NIKITA. Alexa found favor in my eyes the moment the bunny mask came off! Trapped there in her bedroom/cell, she brings out all those protective urges, what with those blue eyes, white-skinned body and the magnificent ponytail. The character is clearly not what she appeared to be, riveting viewing ahead for Lucky Me, and I will be looking around for more titles featuring lovely Lyndsy.
As for those eyes, I find that it is standard reflex to consider blue eyes beautiful, but objectively seen, so many are cold, and brown eyes are usually the really expressive ones. With Lyndsy's blue jewels though, these are those DreamGirl DeLuxe ® eyes... sparkling bright and clear. Better than any sapphire.
And it is now some weeks later. I've been watching Season 1 and moving on to the last disc week after next. NIKITA is a great show. That's putting it mildly. It combines hard-hitting drama, fast-paced action with designer violence and gorgeous glamor. But for my sake it should have been called NIKITA & ALEX. Kidding! You catch my drift, though...
Lyndsy Fonseca, you are one helluva lovely bird! And thank you to the show's creators for not making her a ruthless killer, but a soft-hearted warm person. NIKITA ranks a very high score with me, but Lyndsy is just simply the creme de la creme!- Actress

Jennifer Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California, to actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow. Her father was Greek, and her mother was of English, Irish, Scottish, and Italian descent. Jennifer spent a year of her childhood living in Greece with her family. Her family then relocated to New York City where her parents divorced when she was nine. Jennifer was raised by her mother and her father landed a role, as "Victor Kiriakis", on the daytime soap Days of Our Lives (1965). Jennifer had her first taste of acting at age 11 when she joined the Rudolf Steiner School's drama club. It was also at the Rudolf Steiner School that she developed her passion for art. She began her professional training as a drama student at New York's School of Performing Arts, aka the "Fame" school. It was a division of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts. In 1987, after graduation, she appeared in such Off-Broadway productions as "For Dear Life" and "Dancing on Checker's Grave". In 1990, she landed her first television role, as a series regular on Molloy (1990). She also appeared in The Edge (1992), Ferris Bueller (1990), and had a recurring part on Herman's Head (1991). By 1993, she was floundering. Then, in 1994, a pilot called "Friends Like These" came along. Originally asked to audition for the role of "Monica", Aniston refused and auditioned for the role of "Rachel Green", the suburban princess turned coffee peddler. With the success of the series Friends (1994), Jennifer has become famous and sought-after as she turns her fame into movie roles during the series hiatus.I'm sure people do not know this bird. Apparently she was in Hollywood a long time before she got noticed. Then she appeared on a show nobody cared about, FRIENDS, nobody watched. Then she changed her hairstyle, but who cares? Her lovelife is also something that both the National Enquirer and People can't be bothered about, 'cause who'd wanna read about her? Yeah? I think even the dogs of her fans are fans of Jennifer, she is possibly one of the most well-known and most loved people on Planet Earth, and I'm sure there are fans of her on other planets as well. To know her is to love her. As Rachel Green in FRIENDS she found her niche. Actually nothing else worked that well for her. THE BREAK-UP was a goodie. ALONG CAME POLLY, what was she doing there? RUMOR HAS IT, PICTURE PERFECT... It was said at the time fate seemed to take her movie titles literally.
What I loved about Rachel was not only her looks, but her spirit. She was everything a guy could hope for in a girlfriend. Very expressive with the eyes, and the hands always talked along! Fat chance that a guy like Ross could snare her!- Actress

Emmy Award-winning Sarah Michelle Gellar was born on April 14, 1977 in New York City, the daughter of Rosellen (Greenfield), who taught at a nursery school, and Arthur Gellar, who worked in the garment industry. She is of Russian Jewish and Hungarian Jewish descent.
Eating in a local restaurant, Sarah was discovered by an agent when she was four years old. Soon after, she was making her first movie An Invasion of Privacy (1983). Besides a long list of movies, she has also appeared in many TV commercials and on the stage. Her breakthrough came with the television series Swans Crossing (1992). In 1997, she became known to the cinema audience when she appeared in two movies: I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and Scream 2 (1997). But she is most commonly known for her title role in the long-running television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). She also won an Emmy Award for her performance as Kendall Hart on the soap opera All My Children (1970).
Sarah has since starred in many films, including Simply Irresistible (1999), Cruel Intentions (1999), and the live-action Scooby-Doo (2002) movies as the lovable Daphne Blake. She also provided her voice to several movies, including Small Soldiers (1998), Happily N'Ever After (2006) and TMNT (2007), starred in the box office hit The Grudge (2004), and co-starred with Robin Williams and James Wolk in the television series The Crazy Ones (2013).
She resides in Los Angeles, California, with her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr.. They have been married since 2002, and have two children.BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER is my favorite show. That doesn't exactly make me unique. It's the all-time favorite of thousands and thousands of people. Just don't expect it to ever return, it was in its second incarnation already, and Joss Whedon would rather try something new.
Sarah Michelle will forever be Buffy Summers, it will stay with her the rest of her life. Nothing else was as captivating as her delightful performance as the teenage angst-ridden, coping-with-two-lifestyles high-school cheerleader cum Slayer. I just loved the way she talked down to the dumb vampires. And when pitted against the Dark Slayer, some of the very best scenes. There should have been a Season 8. If only...
Unfortunately, Sarah's other performances, including I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, is left totally in the shade of what had gone before in Sunnydale. That creepy THE GRUDGE did nothing more than scare the hell out of me. She was kind of dreary there. One very complicated, convoluted mess, not worth the bother for The Slayer's sake, especially not if you don't wanna see dead bodies crawling around.- Actress

Kristy Swanson is an American actress from California. She has had an active acting career since the 1980s. Her most memorable role was playing the original version of Buffy Summers in the horror comedy "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992).
Swanson was born in Mission Viejo, California, a planned community in Orange County. It is located in a hilly region, 49 miles (79 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles. Swanson developed an interest in acting in early childhood. She started pursuing roles in television commercials at the age of 9, and first appeared in a commercial for doll houses. She continued to regularly appear in commercials for a few years.
Swanson received acting lessons from "The Actors Workshop", an acting school developed by Canadian actor R. J. Adams (1942 -2015). In 1984, Swanson started appearing in one-shot roles in television. She gained attention for playing Stephanie Brandon in the episode "On the Street" (1985) of the police procedural "Cagney & Lacey". Her character was a teenage prostitute who was considered a key witness in a murder trial. For this role Swanson was nominated for a Young performer award, the "Best Young Actress - Guest in a Television Series". The award was instead won by rival actress Jaclyn Bernstein.
In 1986, Swanson had the supporting role of Jennifer Davis in the television film "Mr. Boogedy", a ghost story about a haunted house in New England. She had a minor role in the teen comedy-drama film "Pretty in Pink" (1986). as the new love interest of the character Duckie Dale (played by Jon Cryer). She had her first speaking role in a film in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", as a girl who announces a convoluted excuse to explain the main character's absence. Swanson had her co-starring role in a film in "Deadly Friend" (1986), a science fiction horror film by famed director Wes Craven. It gained a cult following over the following decades.
Swanson's next starring role was in the psychological horror film "Flowers in the Attic" (1987), concerning children held captive by their abusive family. She played Cathy Dollanganger, the elder sister among the captives. The film earned about 15,2 million dollars at the domestic box office. There were plans for a sequel film, but it ended in development hell. In 1987, Swanson joined the cast of the soap opera Knots Landing (1979-1993), in the recurring role of Jody Campbell. She appeared in a total of 8 episodes, leaving the series in 1988.
Swanson had her first main role in a television series in the short-lived medical drama "Nightingales" (1989), where she played student nurse Rebecca "Becky" Granger. The series was controversial at the time for its overly sexualized depiction of nurses. It inspired a protest campaign by the American Nurses Association, causing several sponsors to withdraw their support from their series. The series was canceled after a single season and 13 episodes, plus a television film. There was later a revival of the series' concept under the title "University Hospital" (1995), but Swanson was not involved with the revival series.
Swanson had her first film role in years in the romantic comedy "Dream Trap" (1990). The film depicted the romantic fantasies two teenagers have about each other. Her co-star for this film was Sasha Jenson (1964-). Swanson's next notable film role was in the fantasy comedy "Mannequin Two: On the Move" (1991). She played Jessie, a 14th-century peasant girl who was turned into a statue by a sorcerer. She is revived in the late 20th century, and falls in love with a descendant of her original lover. The film only earned 4 million dollars at the box office, failing to recover its production costs. It was marketed as a sequel to the hit film "Mannequin" (1987), while featuring none of its main characters.
Swanson had a supporting role in the comedy film "Hot Shots!" (1991). She played Kowalski, a female pilot of the United States Navy who is regarded as male by her peers and superiors. The film earned 180 million dollars worldwide, the highest earning film in Swanson's career at that time. Swanson had the co-starring role of Rachel Clark in the horror comedy "Highway to Hell" (1991). In the film, Rachel is kidnapped by a demon and taken to hell. She is about to be married to Satan, but her boyfriend Charlie Sykes (played by Chad Lowe) attempts to rescue her. The film only had a limited theatrical release, but was relatively popular in the home video market.
In 1992, Swanson had the leading role of Buffy in the horror comedy film "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992). In the film, Buffy is a high school cheerleader with an ordinary life, who discovers that she is the latest in a long line of female vampire slayers. She has to stop a vampire army from taking over Los Angeles, at the cost of alienating her friends and losing her boyfriend. The film was modestly successful at the box office, earning about 17 million dollars. It was more successful in the home video market, and inspired the spin-off television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997-2003). Swanson had no involvement with this series, replaced in the title role by Sarah Michelle Gellar (1977-).
Swanson had a supporting role in the sports drama film "The Program" (1993), as tennis player Camille Shafer. The character was the love interest of one of the main characters, American football player Joe Kane (played Craig Sheffer). Swanson shared the female lead status in this film with Halle Berry (1966-). The film highlighted the use of steroids in college football. The film earned about 23 million dollars at the box office, a modest hit for its time.
Swanson played the role of heiress Natalie Voss in the action comedy "The Chase" (1994). In the film, Natalie is kidnapped by escaped convict Jack Hammond (played by Charlie Sheen), because he wanted a hostage. It was commended for its satirical look at tabloid journalism, and at the obsession of television news shows with car chases. Swanson had a supporting role in the black comedy "Getting In" (1994). In the film, there are serial murders of students who are on the top of the list for admission to medical school. A student is trying to eliminate his competitors to get ahead on the list. It is remembered as the directorial debut for Doug Liman.
In 1995, Swanson had a co-starring role in the university-themed drama film "Higher Learning". She played Kristen Connor, an initially shy student who proceeds to explore her bisexual tendencies by pursuing two different romantic relationships at the same time. The film earned about 38 million dollars at the domestic box office, becoming the 44th highest-grossing film of its year. It was also successful at the home video market. From Swanson's perspective, it was the highest-grossing film of her career since 1991.
In 1996, Swanson appeared in the superhero adaptation "The Phantom". It was based on the character Phantom/Kit Walker, created by Lee Falk (1911 - 1999) in 1936. Swanson played Diana Palmer, the Phantom's love interest. The film earned about 23.5 million dollars at the domestic box office, but was a major hit in the home video market.
In 1997, Swanson had a co-starring role in the Mafia-themed black comedy "8 Heads in a Duffel Bag". In the film, mobster Tommy Spinelli (played by Joe Pesci) has to deliver a cargo of severed heads to a crime boss, as proof for recent deaths. His duffel bag is mixed up with the luggage of an American tourist, causing much trouble for everyone involved in the case. The film under-performed at the box office, only earning 4 million dollars.
In 1998, Swanson was part of the cast in the disaster film "Ground Control". The film concerned the efforts of air traffic controller to perform their duties during a severe storm and a power outage. Swanson was reduced to a supporting role in the comedy film "Big Daddy" (1999), playing an ex-girlfriend of the film's main character, slacker Sonny Koufax (played by Adam Sandler). In 2000, Swanson had a supporting role in the stoner comedy "Dude, Where's My Car?". She played one of several eccentric characters which the film's protagonists encounter in their search for a missing automobile. The film was a surprise box office hit, earning 73.2 million dollars at the worldwide box office. It was Swanson's highest grossing film in nearly a decade.
In 2001, Swanson played Interpol agent Tessa Jansen in the thriller film "Soul Assassin". The film depicted assassinations connected to a multinational banking firm. It was one of Swanson'ts last appearances in a feature film during the 2000s. Her career declined considerably during this decade. She was reduced to playing infrequent guest-star roles in then-popular television series, such as "Just Shoot Me!", "CSI: Miami", and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent".
In 2009, Swanson married her boyfriend Lloyd Eisler (1963-), a Canadian pairs skater who had won two Olympic medals. They have a son. In 2010, Swanson appeared in the Christian film "What If...", making her first appearance in a theatrical film in several years. She played Wendy Walker, the original girlfriend of businessman Ben Walker (played by Kevin Sorbo).
During the 2010s, Swanson appeared frequently in television films and direct-to-video films. She was part of the main cast in "Beethoven's Treasure Tail" (2014), the 8th and (so far) last film in the long-running film series "Beethoven" (1992-2014). In the early 2020s, Swanson continues to regularly appear in films. By 2021, Swanson was 52-years-old. She he has no intention to retire yet. Several of her older films remain popular, and she still has a fan following.First saw her in Wes Craven's DEADLY FRIEND, and back in those days there wasn't any Internet, but I did some immediate research and discovered she came to attention in FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC. There was no way I could see that movie, it wasn't on the cinema circuit anymore, it wasn't at the VHS stores. Cut to about 27 years later, and I am currently watching it on DVD. She is breathtakingly, heartbreakingly beautiful. Am planning a review, so any further comments will be posted there, but for the legions of die-hard Kristy fans, I don't even have to say, but for all you other lot, watch that 1987 movie! I missed out for years, and was the poorer for it!
Kristy had two notable other performances, MANNEQUIN 2 ON THE MOVE, and that much-loved (hardly!) TV show NIGHTINGALES that got cancelled while the cast were just warming up. Almost everything Kristy did got panned, Kristy's swansong, you gotta admit that one was an inspired comment, hell, she was an easy target.
She was in that movie with the very odd name that proved her to be a very, very serious actress at that time (!) BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Hell, people criticized it, even from within its own ranks. Funnily enough, some years later a guy who just couldn't accept defeat tried again, this time with his idea as a basis for a TV show which became a tremendously popular hit, but as for Kristy's version, those were tough times, and she did not exactly have the brightest future predicted for her after that clanger.
To me, slapsticky ol' MANNEQUIN 2 ON THE MOVE was a ton of fun. The critics of course hated it, while it wasn't the sort of movie that was even remotely meant to be taken seriously. There is a whole lot of sour-pussed people in the world. Kristy's sheer beauty and the fun script made it thoroughly enjoyable. It's supposed to cause you to break out laughing, and if you don't at least do so, you're most likely quite ill really, and should go take a pill, or something.
She had a road movie as well, with Charlie Sheen as her co-star, in THE CHASE. That one certainly has moments, but it's unfortunately not the DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY remake I hoped it to be.
A day of National Disaster. I saw in a magazine she was following the trend, and cut off her hair. I could have wept! Others felt the same way! I've never seen anything she did since those mid-Nineties days, but fortunately I have my favorite movie of her on DVD. As for NIGHTINGALES, I've downloaded what I could, commercials inbetween and all, sometimes wrong aspect ratio, and even I have to admit the show had problems, corny as hell! So what, it had a pretty cast, and loads of potential. It came from Mr. Aaron Spelling's stable, and where that guy was around, gold sprouted from the barrenest earth.
Recently obtained ZEBRA LOUNGE, despite research showing that Kristy's fans were hugely disappointed by her performance there. Planning to watch and review it soon. Ooh, this was done, and, bummer! what a disappointment! Fans of Kristy, steer clear!
A little angel personified. Those who remember, become all misty-eyed. The hottest chick on film at her time, certainly the prettiest, in that innocent, vulnerable way...- Actress

Outside of her work on screen and stage, Perabo is also an activist. She is a Voice for the International Rescue Committee to raise awareness about the world's refugee crisis and help those displaced by conflict, religious persecution and political oppression around the globe.
Piper lives in Los Angeles and New York City.Came to my attention as the lead actress in COYOTE UGLY, and that caused me to search more of her movies, which led to a years-long search for SLAP HER SHE'S FRENCH, which I just couldn't find, until learning that it was also known as SHE GETS WHAT SHE WANTS, and my agents then found it for me. Be warned though that this isn't the ideal movie for Piper fans. Be assured though that there is a superb title, the movie that RavenGlamDVDCollector recommends without reservation to all and sundry, except if you are a prude put off by a little bit of pretty nudity and some same-sex girl/girl kissing: the astonishly good LOST AND DELIRIOUS, Piper's project after hitting it big with COYOTE UGLY.
LOST AND DELIRIOUS is a heart-renderingly sad tale about lost love, and it has actually given me more insight into same-sex romance, but see my review of the film for more about the movie. Suffice to say that Piper is s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g, and I dare say nobody will disagree except absolutely wretched misfits and they don't count! Apparently this movie is not really well known, so, just remember where you first heard about it! Buy it, borrow it, rent it, steal it, pirate it, but do get it, and do watch it! You'll be a Piper fan for life!- Actress

Susan George was born on 26 July 1950 in Surbiton, Surrey, England, UK. She is an actress and producer, known for Straw Dogs (1971), Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974) and Mandingo (1975). She was previously married to Simon MacCorkindale. The prettiest girl of her era, the late Sixties and early Seventies. Unfortunately real stardom eluded her. With ease. She did not exactly make wise career choices role-wise.
Susan George was Mary in the quintessential drive-in movie DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY back in 1974. She need not have done anything else. Early credit includes LOLA, better known in the U.K. as TWINKY which created a slang term for schoolgirl jailbait, and I highly recommend this movie to anybody who wants to see a very, very pretty girl on film. Be warned that it borders on child molestation, but it is a beautiful film, and I can fully understand, how could ol' Charles Bronson have said no? Lola on her bicycle, oh wow...
Big parts in small movies. ALL NEAT IN BLACK STOCKINGS (the one with the black-and-tan legs under the table, high point of the movie) and SPRING AND PORT WINE (the one with the ad infinitum plate of herring) both have her cast in an eventually-pregnant pre-maritally role. Both were for the British market once again.
Then came DIE SCREAMING MARIANNE, yet another UK release. One of the weirdest movies I have seen in my life. Apparently, a cast mutiny was responsible for this travesty of a film, and the Director had to take matters in hand to save what he could. Too late. Sounds as if Susan wasn't the main culprit, sounds as if the make co-stars goaded her. But the movie is a dismal failure, while it could have been much, much more - there were lots of creepy ingredients, but none more so than the seriously ill film produced out of that mess. And it kicked off so great, with Susan go-go dancing in the opening titles, and that typically-Susan boy-meets-girl scene where she is almost run over by his car, but stands her ground cheekily. Always the feisty one. Alas, everything done right on that set only serves to underline the extent of what went to waste.
Before word spread, Susan accepted STRAW DOGS, by legendary Sam Peckinpah, and the rest is history. The most notorious movie of all time, banned to damnation for years, it couldn't be released on video. All because the thing can be interpretated as giving carte blanche to rapists, girls enjoy being raped. Which is not really what happens in the picture, but sure, I can see what the fuss is about. This movie, too, needed a more stable hand on the wheel.
But that picture really isn't a lot of fun. What is a lot of fun, is that forerunner to a whole new genre, the road movie, DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY. By today's standards, it's really old-fashioned, but this is a classic! Susan is the eponymous Mary, she is wild at heart, but with a soft center, and she gets to ride along with two wannabe Nascar heroes who are financing their dreams by pulling off a supermarket heist. It's really all an excuse to pit a supercharger against as many police black-and-white cruisers as could be managed, throwing in a farmer's truck and a helicopter as well. It's that glorious old defiant American spirit, and when they pass a squad car on the highway, with that big machine looming up like a shark behind them, and Mary tosses her hair back and giggles, you just know There Is Gonna Be Magic! And Miss George was the ideal person to play this fun accomplice. The part suited her to the very last detail. The poster showed her in all her blondeness, blue denim jeans and blue bikini top, sucking on an ice lolly. Riding easy!
OUT OF SEASON, 1975. A small movie, too small for the likes of a girl who should have been a star. One look at it and you can see why Susan got the part, the storyline holds the promise of something truly scandalous, in this case, it would have been incest, as it regards a girl meeting an older man whom she becomes sexually attracted to, not knowing that he is her father. Movie pulls all punches except a nude rear view of Susan going up the stairs. Either she shouldn't have bothered with this at all, or the script should have been kicked under its lame ass. Gentle British film of yesteryear, explains it all.
Now for the bit that I don't like to talk about. Subsequent movies don't really even count. There were health problems. That showed. A SMALL TOWN IN TEXAS and TOMORROW NEVER COMES do not have Susan's magical presence. Both movies suffer abysmally for it. Had Susan been her former self...
There is also TINTORERA, a killer shark JAWS rip-off movie (1976) that apparently has gratutious nudity and not much else, but with Susan past her prime I have decided to forgo hunting for it. General consensus is that it is a stinker of a movie at the bottom of the ocean.
Susan was perenially cast as the resident sexpot. That's how Wikipedia sums it up, because that's exactly how other sources summed it up. Look up 'typecast' in the dictionary, and there's a picture of dear old Susan next to it. But to me she is the girl resisting surrender, the wild mare (or cute pony then, because she's quite small) refusing to be tamed... The cheeky challenge. In the most delightful way.
(Especially recommended by this list, as so many others are contemporary well-known popular celebrities that need no introduction)- Kelsey is the oldest of three girls and lives with both parents near Los Angeles. Kelsey began modeling at the age of four and quickly started booking print jobs. In 2001 she was hired for her first runway fashion show and since then has performed as a runway model in 18 shows! She landed her first television guest-star appearance on "Power Rangers - Wild Force" in 2002 and shortly after filmed a flashback scene for the pilot episode of "The Oliver Beene Show". She frequently guest co-stars on "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" for flashback scenes of Kaley Cuoco's character "Bridget Hennessy". She was a Disney Catalog print model for approximately 2 years. Her most famous role was playing Annie McNamara on the hit cable series Nip/Tuck (2003). After the series ended, she relocated to Texas where her hobbies include fishing and horseback riding.Okay, so currently I only know her as a child, innocent little Annie McNamara in NIP/TUCK, growing up speedily already by late Season 3. I can confidently add her to this list, because what can go wrong? This one has a natural affinity for the camera, and on a show like that, there is going to be a whole lot of high jinks ensuing as this little fawn grows up. From the moment I first saw her on screen, I predicted she could have Hollywood at her feet one day. When I Googled her, I discovered it was her 18th birthday. The scene is set, Kelsey, you're part of the contemporary It generation, up and at 'em, kid. You'll need a hot movie or hot show with a good storyline and script, I'm sure you can pick and choose, unless the casting directors are fast asleep. If I was a director, I'd insist on Kelsey for any young, cute part. What could go wrong? She is scrumptious, like yummy-yummy-yum, pardon me, dear, I'm just an old pig, but you are a Hollywood Princess!

Gillian Amalia Zinser is an American actress, known for her appearances as Ivy Sullivan in 90210.
She attended New York University in New York City, NY. Prior to 90210, she appeared in Southland, Cold Case and Cupid.
She played a recurring role in 90210 during the second season from 2009 to 2010, as a young Californian surfer named Ivy Sullivan. In February 2010, she was signed as a regular cast member for the third season of the show.
In 2011 Zinser starred in her first feature, The Truth Below for MTV, and in Liars All with Matt Lanter.
She grew up in Washington, D.C. and now resides in Venice, California.Gillian is described as a naturally beautiful girl, so imagine waking up to her in the morning...! From the word Go! when she appeared as Ivy in 90210, she was major competition to the three other glamor foxes (AnnaLynne, Jessica and guest-star Sara Foster) on the show. She is, like, the coolest girlfriend, dude, and that surfer guy that rejected her and eventually settles on Shenae Grimes' Annie, reality check here! No guy in his right mind would reject Ivy or Gillian. I was initially disappointed to see this black-and-white photograph accompanying her text on IMDb, but if you take a closer look at it, she is, like smoulderingly hot, dude.* According to my research, she is the girl doing the handstand as the '1' in the 90210 logo.
Currently watching the penultimate season of 90210, and Ivy is hooked up with Raj in a doomed relationship, perhaps she is really being misspent on that set, which is perhaps why, as I know beforehand, she did not sign up for season 5.** I've never seen her in anything else except a humanitarian clip on the Net as herself living on $1 a day and of course failing, but Gillian seems to be a fun person and RavenGlamDVDCollector predicts great things career-wise. She just needs the right part. Ivy is utterly unforgettable, but Gillian needs a main role. She can do it! I'll buy the DVD!
*hell, I should have saved that one. I see it's been updated, replaced with another, 15 Jan. 2015
**scarcely dared say those words here when in the episode “Smoked Turkey” the script allowed her to show her worth (I watch on DVD and I am of course lagging behind, tonight's episode, “Project Runaway” again had her as a third wheel). Update 17 Mar. 2015, as season progresses, Gillian becomes more and more the coolest hot chick around, see episode ”Babes in Toyland"... Update 23 Mar. 2015, with “The Heart Will Go On”, Gillian's run on 90210 goes up yet another notch. It was glorious to see her portray an array of emotions,.from bright and cheerful to the gloom and desperation leading up to her love interest's death. I've known since before watching this season that it is her final season, but I'm just glad she's given the chance to give such real life to the part of Ivy Sullivan. Next week, “Blue Ivy”...- Actress

She is a former fashion model who briefly hosted the short-lived Entertainment Tonight (1981) spin-off ET on MTV (2000). Based on that breakthrough she was cast as the lead femme fatale in The Big Bounce (2004), which was a remake of a previous movie adaptation of the same Elmore Leonard novel.Sara, Sara, Sara. Wow! What can I say? Saw a bit on the TV, a promo for THE BIG BOUNCE, inbetween watching DVDs, saw the absolutely droolworthy pretty chick, salivated like a hungry dog, and wow, yes, stayed tuned to the lowly torturously ad-ridden channel just for her, and I was of course not disappointed. One of the most truly spectacular girls in an underrated movie. Back in those days, 2007, I was still just setting foot in DVD territory and I was relying on renting them and grottily having them copied, I mention this because I well remember I didn't think this one was even going to be at the video store. But it was. Next year I got into legit DVDs with their keep-cases and all, and one of the first I bought, was of course said movie.
As Nancy Hayes in this 2004 flick, she is just the hottest chick, and there's a whole lot of showing off bare flesh, thankfully. Inspired me to look her up in other titles, and found D.E.B.S. and did not look back!
D.E.B.S. that gloriously subversive classic that must have spawned a cult of its own (especially amongst girl/girl love scenes aficionados and partakers alike!) features this so-extremely-beautiful-girl-it-does-indeed-hurt-to-look-at-her as the major attraction in a parade of hot foxes. It is a must-see, just like THE BIG BOUNCE, if you love pretty girls on film.
Imagine my exhilaration when I was watching one of my all-time favorite TV shows on DVD one night, 90210, and there appeared Jen Clark. Oh, but Sara is typecast, huh? But so ably suited with that foxiest of foxy smiles!- Actress

Amanda Seyfried was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Ann (Sander), an occupational therapist, and Jack Seyfried, a pharmacist. She is of German, and some English and Scottish, ancestry. She began modeling when she was eleven, and acted in high school productions as well as taking singing lessons.
More soap work followed as she completed her schooling and had already secured a place at Fordham University when she was offered a role in the Tina Fey-penned teen comedy Mean Girls (2004). She deferred her university education to complete the film. More television work followed, raising her profile across America, while her appearances in Mamma Mia! (2008) and Red Riding Hood (2011) helped establish her international fame.Especially noteworthy performance in RED RIDING HOOD. Don't forget CHLOE. I haven't gotten around to LETTERS TO JULIET yet, but soon... Recently watched GONE, that was great. LOVELACE I have yet to obtain. MEAN GIRLS, back when I watched that, she wasn't even on my radar. (Learned today that she was first choice for SUCKER PUNCH, wow, wonder what she would have been like?)
She could even play the part of geeky Needy in JENNIFER'S BODY, but the one thing that slipped past her portrayal was that she is a helluva stunning chick.
Readers are cordially invited to seek out my review for GONE, it says it all re Amanda's magic, and I'm kinda proud to report that the response to my writing there has been favorable.
Amanda has a very definite screen presence. She mesmerizes you instantly. Animated! Witness her performance in GONE, where she is practically the whole show. She is one full-on hit movie away from that really exalted level of superstardom.
Amanda kind of has a certain wolfy look. In a good way. Many of her movies has made full use of this. It is why her character in GONE is not perceived as 100% trustworthy, and it is put to very good use in the lockdown scene in JENNIFER'S BODY. She is almost alien. In a good way. Believe me, in a very good out-of-this-world way. And that mane of hair! Listen, The Raven is a hair bear, and if I have to endorse a contemporary hot actress's hairstyle, Amanda comes to mind. I would sure as hell love to play with that, but okay, what The Raven wants, he wouldn't get :) but allow this ol' fool to compliment you on your crowning glory!- Actress

Australian actress Emily Browning was born in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia, to Shelley and Andrew Browning. She has two younger brothers. Her start in acting came after a classmate's father, involved in the acting business, noticed her "acting all ditsy" in a school play. Emily found an agent and was soon filming on location for the Hallmark TV-movie, The Echo of Thunder (1998). She received more roles from there, including parts in The Man Who Sued God (2001), opposite Billy Connolly, and Ned Kelly (2003), opposite Heath Ledger and Orlando Bloom. In that film, she had to hug Heath Ledger, and she said that all of her friends, who went to see the film, at the same time sent her a barrage of text messages about how lucky she was! Emily says she tries to avoid "cheesy" movies, and her big break came when she was on a press tour in LA for Ghost Ship (2002), that was filmed in Australia and released in America. In the same year, she won an Australian Film Institute Award for Best Young Actress, and was nominated for the same award, the next year. Emily received some scripts when she was in LA and sent in a video audition for A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004). She received a call and was asked to come to LA for a proper audition, which won her the part. She spent months in LA filming, for the second time acting opposite Billy Connolly. Emily said she enjoyed the experience of making a big budget film in America, and says that although she's not sure what is coming next, she's hoping to do some more Australian work.SUCKER PUNCH, 2011. Scarlett Ingrid Johansson was born on November 22, 1984 in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Her mother, Melanie Sloan is from a Jewish family from the Bronx and her father, Karsten Johansson is a Danish-born architect from Copenhagen. She has a sister, Vanessa Johansson, who is also an actress, a brother, Adrian, a twin brother, Hunter Johansson, born three minutes after her, and a paternal half-brother, Christian. Her grandfather was writer Ejner Johansson.
Johansson began acting during childhood, after her mother started taking her to auditions. She made her professional acting debut at the age of eight in the off-Broadway production of "Sophistry" with Ethan Hawke, at New York's Playwrights Horizons. She would audition for commercials but took rejection so hard her mother began limiting her to film tryouts. She made her film debut at the age of nine, as John Ritter's character's daughter in the fantasy comedy North (1994). Following minor roles in Just Cause (1995), as the daughter of Sean Connery and Kate Capshaw's character, and If Lucy Fell (1996), she played the role of Amanda in Manny & Lo (1996). Her performance in Manny & Lo garnered a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Female, and positive reviews, one noting, "[the film] grows on you, largely because of the charm of ... Scarlett Johansson", while San Francisco Chronicle critic Mick LaSalle commentated on her "peaceful aura", and wrote, "If she can get through puberty with that aura undisturbed, she could become an important actress."
After appearing in minor roles in Fall (1997) and Home Alone 3 (1997), Johansson garnered widely spread attention for her performance in The Horse Whisperer (1998), directed by Robert Redford, where she played Grace MacLean, a teenager traumatized by a riding accident. She received a nomination for the Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Most Promising Actress for the film. In 1999, she appeared in My Brother the Pig (1999) and in the music video for Mandy Moore's single, "Candy". Although the film was not a box office success, she received praise for her breakout role in Ghost World (2001), credited with "sensitivity and talent [that] belie her age". She was also featured in the Coen Brothers' dark drama The Man Who Wasn't There (2001), opposite Billy Bob Thornton and Frances McDormand. She appeared in the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks (2002) with David Arquette and Kari Wuhrer.
In 2003, she was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, one for drama (Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003)) and one for comedy (Lost in Translation (2003)), her breakout role, starring opposite Bill Murray, and receiving rave reviews and a Best Actress Award at the Venice Film Festival. Her film roles include the critically acclaimed Weitz brothers' film In Good Company (2004), as well as starring opposite John Travolta in A Love Song for Bobby Long (2004), which garnered her a third Golden Globe Award nomination.
She dropped out of Mission: Impossible III (2006) due to scheduling conflicts. Her next film role was in The Island (2005) alongside Ewan McGregor which earned weak reviews from U.S. critics. After this, she appeared in Woody Allen's Match Point (2005) and was nominated again for a Golden Globe Award. In May 2008, she released her album "Anywhere I Lay My Head", a collection of Tom Waits covers featuring one original song. Also that year, she starred in Frank Miller's The Spirit (2008), the Woody Allen film Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008), and played Mary Boleyn opposite Natalie Portman in The Other Boleyn Girl (2008).
Since then, she has appeared as part of an ensemble cast in the romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You (2009), the action superhero film Iron Man 2 (2010), the comedy-drama We Bought a Zoo (2011) and starred as the original scream queen, Janet Leigh, in Hitchcock (2012). She then played her character, Black Widow, in the blockbuster action films The Avengers (2012), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Black Widow (2021), and also headlined the sci-fi action thriller Lucy (2014), a box office success. With more than a decade of work already under her belt, Scarlett has proven to be one of Hollywood's most talented young actresses. Her other starring roles are in the sci-fi action thriller Ghost in the Shell (2017) and the dark comedy Rough Night (2017).
Scarlett and Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds were engaged in May 2008 and married in September of that year. In 2010, the couple announced their separation, and subsequently divorced a year later. In 2013, she became engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac, the couple married a year later. In January 2017, the couple announced their separation, and subsequently divorced in March of that year. They have a daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac (born 2014). The couple divorced in September 2017.
She married Colin Jost in October 2020. They have one child, a son.The dream girl of that highly watchable action movie THE ISLAND. What really sets her apart for me, is that I could watch a nothing, absolutely nothing, movie like LOST IN TRANSLATION without complaining simply because she was in there. Oh, and is she ever a dream in that scene by the window where she is looking out at the city... Tokyo had never before been as graced...! And yet another nothing, absolutely nothing movie, GIRL WITH A PEARL EARRING, hell, in my little town I must have been the only customer at the video store who rented that movie.
My one disappointment though, THE BLACK DAHLIA. What a cold, heartless, thoroughly unenjoyable film, and I'm not referring to the brutal subject matter, but to the style of filming. Not engaging at all. Blame the director, though. Not Scarlett. But she was wasting her time there.
VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA (2008) Can't help but notice that the competition stole the entire movie. Yes, Rebecca Hall came nearly out of nowhere and ran away with the ball. I'd never even heard of her before so I was real surprised. Got to watch out, Scarlett!
As for LUCY, just think, if we could harness our brain power like that, and morph our anatomical structure, we could all be great friends with our mirrors, for who'd stare back at us? The likeness of Ms. Johannson herself! Scarlett is beyond 100% fantastic in here, her beauty carries a childlike innocence, and the multitude of special effects pale in comparison to her charm.- Actress

Jessica Lowndes is a multifaceted Canadian actress, singer, and songwriter. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Jessica began her acting career at a young age, appearing in various television shows and films before landing her breakout role as drug addicted teen Adrianna Tate-Duncan on the CW TV series "90210." Originally written as a 3-episode arc, the character quickly became a series regular and a central character on 90210 for five seasons.
Beyond acting, Lowndes has expanded her career into production, having executive produced eight projects, two of which she has written the scripts and music for, as well as starred in.
In addition to her acting talents, Lowndes is also a gifted musician. She has released several singles and albums, showcasing her soulful voice and songwriting skills. She has self-released over 30 original songs and her single, Silicone in Stereo reached #11 on the Billboard charts in both the U.S. and Canada.
Lowndes starred alongside Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig in Lifetime's "A Deadly Adoption" and was the female lead in Bruce Willis and John Cusack's action flick "The Prince". In the past few years she has starred in over 15 projects with Lifetime, Hallmark, GAF and Tubi, many of which included original songs she wrote and performed for the projects. She wrote the original screenplay for Hallmark's "Over the Moon in Love" and co-wrote/performed the hit song "Paradise" for the film which hit #1 on iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. She also starred in the 2021 film Mix Up in the Mediterranean for Hallmark Channel. Her duet "Alive," which she performed with her co-star Jeremy Jordan for the film, cracked the top 15 on iTunes last year.
Lowndes both wrote and starred in "Harmony From The Heart," for GAF and Hulu, alongside Jesse Metcalfe. Additionally, she wrote and produced the film's popular original song "11:11," which soared to #3 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.Yeah, at the going rate, a considerable percentage of this list have been cast members of 90210. After all, that was indeed the hottest show on TV! Jessica appeared there in what was supposed to be little more than a one-off, but when her potential was spotted, they wisely kept her on. Wow! Hot damn yes! She might be the meanest girl in the story, but the green-eyed angel that is Jessica Lowndes is someone to fall in love with! Even sings in real life too, music videos and all!- Actress

Heather Locklear was born on 25 September 1961 in Westwood, California, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for Melrose Place (1992), The Perfect Man (2005) and The Return of Swamp Thing (1989). She was previously married to Richie Sambora and Tommy Lee.Darling Heather! My heart-felt sincere apologies for having sent her an extremely badly typed letter during my young days. I still squirm at the thought of it. How I was writing a novel that was gonna be a movie one day and how I was writing it with her in mind as the female lead. Hopefully never got to you, dear. Hopefully filming T.J. HOOKER kept you too busy to read stupid (well, that could be forgiven), sloppy (that can't!) fan mail!
For some reason, Heather didn't even try to set the big screen on fire. She did manage, after an extremely good turn at portraying her exact opposite, as Sammy Jo Carrington in DYNASTY, to show everybody how it should be done, as the dynamic Amanda Woodward on the long-running MELROSE PLACE. She wowed everybody! The show lasted for years and I suppose Heather could have done Amanda in her sleep, and afterwards she went to SPIN CITY, which I haven't seen. Years later it was the movie THE PERFECT MAN with the perennially good-looking Heather as young as ever!
As for Stacey Sheridan, the Captain's daughter in T.J. HOOKER, she appeared in season 2, which I have on DVD, and I've seen season 3 years ago, but from what I can gather out of snippets available on the Net, Heather just looks oddly out of place there, as is of course also the case with that total junk RETURN OF THE SWAMP THING. Fans of Heather do not even need to bother with that drivel.
I'm currently watching DYNASTY and I'm up to the 3rd from last episode, “The Engagement”, of season 4, and Heather's performance therein clearly showed why the late great Mr. Aaron Spelling kept her in mind and knew she'd be the ideal contender for the part of Amanda Woodward in what was then a struggling show. Sammy Jo, ooh pardon me, Samantha, is a complex character that grew (nastier and nastier) with the series, and although she pales into insignificance next to unassailable Amanda, she certainly is the one to watch, and DYNASTY needed her full-time instead of sharing her with that cops & robbers show.
Update: Completed watching Season 5. Every time she appears, she is just even prettier than before. And she has got the part that kicks sand in the others' eyes. Joan Collins as Alexis? Forget the old hag! It's the young vixen that's the one to watch! Like I mention in my review of “Royal Wedding”, the season finale, the prettiest living being in the entire universe!
Kinkily interesting is that Heather gets hogtied in DYNASTY “The Rescue” and that there is a gagged scene in T.J. HOOKER (as I saw on the Net). Real trooper to get everything filmed.
It is widely known that Heather is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, and she is one of the celebrities I hold in the highest regard. It would seem that it is exactly because she is so darn nice that other people, amongst them a very pretty young actress who shall not be named here, really did her in as far as personal life was concerned. Even then she just stayed nice! My respect for her just grew!- Actress

Evan Rachel Wood was born September 7, 1987, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III, is a theatre actor, writer and director, and her mother, Sara Wood, is an actress and acting coach. She has two older brothers--Dana Wood, a musician, and Ira David Wood IV, who has also acted. Evan and her brothers sometimes performed at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh, which her father founded and where he serves as executive director.
At the age of five she screen-tested against Kirsten Dunst for the lead role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) after a long auditioning process. She moved to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 and has had success ever since, appearing in a TV series, TV movies and feature films. She has appeared in Practical Magic (1998), starred in the comedy S1m0ne (2002) as Al Pacino's daughter, and followed that with Thirteen (2003), with Holly Hunter. Her breakout role as Tracy in "Thirteen" garnered her a Golden Globes nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture: Drama and for a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. At the time of this SAG nomination, she was the youngest actress to be nominated in the Leading Role category. She received a Golden Globe and Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie" for her portrayal of Veda Pierce in the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011).
She also earned acclaim for her powerful performance as Stephanie, Mickey Rourke's estranged daughter, in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008).She looks way, way too sophisticated on the photograph currently accompanying this review. This is the girl of THIRTEEN and PRETTY PERSUASION, and as a child star, very good performance in DIGGING TO CHINA. Be sure to watch that one!
PRETTY PERSUASION: The devil wears a grey skirt, my friend. Check her out as the sociopathic lead in this movie about high school rivalry and revenge. Very highly recommended. MEAN GIRLS? They don't come meaner than this one.- Actress

Michelle Pfeiffer was born in Santa Ana, California to Dick and Donna Pfeiffer. She has an older brother and two younger sisters - Dedee Pfeiffer, and Lori Pfeiffer, who both dabbled in acting and modeling but decided against making it their lives' work. She graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1976, and attended one year at the Golden West College, where she studied to become a court reporter. But it was while working as a supermarket checker at Vons, a large Southern California grocery chain, that she realized her true calling. She was married to actor/director Peter Horton ("Gary" of Thirtysomething (1987)) in 1981. They were later divorced, and she then had a three year relationship with actor Fisher Stevens. When that didn't work out, Pfeiffer decided she didn't want to wait any longer before having her own family, and in March of 1993, she adopted a baby girl, Claudia Rose. On November 13th of the same year, she married lawyer-turned-writer/producer David E. Kelley, creator of Picket Fences (1992), Chicago Hope (1994), The Practice (1997), and Boston Public (2000). On August 5, 1994 their son, John Henry was born.Unfortunately, I have yet to obtain SCARFACE. Quite a few years later, she was in THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS, a favorite of mine, as Susie Diamond. Chances are that you might have encountered it. Michelle Pfeiffer in the red dress, on top of the grand piano, singing 'Makin' Whoopee'... It was the iconic image of its time, back in 1989. Glorious moment: When she accidentally uttered the most infamous four-letter word of all time due to an equipment malfunction, she insisted “I said it, I didn't do it!”

Anne Jacqueline Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Kate McCauley Hathaway, an actress, and Gerald T. Hathaway, a lawyer, both originally from Philadelphia. She is of mostly Irish descent, along with English, German, and French. Her first major role came in the short-lived television series Get Real (1999). She gained widespread recognition for her roles in The Princess Diaries (2001) and its 2004 sequel as a young girl who discovers she is a member of royalty, opposite Julie Andrews and Heather Matarazzo.
She also had a notable role in Nicholas Nickleby (2002) opposite Charlie Hunnam and Jamie Bell, and a starring role in Ella Enchanted (2004). A former top-ranking soprano in New York, Hathaway was reportedly a front-runner for the role of "Christine" in the 2004 The Phantom of the Opera (2004). However, due to scheduling conflicts with The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), she couldn't take the role, which was later given to newcomer Emmy Rossum.
Hathaway soon started to move away from family-friendly films. Following The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004), she appeared topless in the films Havoc (2005) opposite Josh Peck and Brokeback Mountain (2005) opposite Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Her desire to break out of her "Princess Diaries" image parallels that of her one-time co-star, Julie Andrews, who went topless in the film S.O.B. (1981) in order to break away from the image she created from her 1960s musicals. In interviews, Hathaway said that doing family-friendly films didn't mean she was similar to their characters or mean she objected to appearing nude in other films.Seen her in exactly one movie, some years ago, but what a movie! THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA (2006). Anybody who's seen this will understand that this is just such an absolutely gorgeous film that it warrants the inclusion of this marvelously talented actress on this list. And if you haven't seen it yet, and want to see something darling on your screen tonight, look no further. Nobody can keep their eyes off this, as frazzled personal assistant Andrea Sachs runs tearfully through the streets of New York trying to keep up with the boss from hell.- Actress

Barbara Goldbach was born to Howard and Marjorie Goldbach in Queens, New York. Her father was a policeman. She met her first husband Augusto Gregorini in New York while she worked as a model and he was visiting from Italy for business tourism in 1966. Barbara followed him to Italy to be with him and they married in 1968. They had two children, Francesca Gregorini and Gianni Gregorini. During Gianni's birth, he had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck, nearly choking him, and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, although a later operation improved his condition.
In 1975, Barbara and Augusto Gregorini separated when she moved to Los Angeles, California. The couple separated in 1978, sharing custody of their two children. Barbara met Ringo Starr on the set of the comedy Caveman (1981), and they became a couple during the filming. Ringo and Barbara were on a holiday in December 1980 when her daughter called to inform them that John Lennon had been shot. Ringo and Barbara went to New York City to console Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon. Ringo and Barbara married on April 27, 1981.
Her acting career began in Italy, where she played Nausicaa in Odissea (1968), a television adaptation of Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey", directed by Franco Rossi and produced by Dino De Laurentiis. Bach co-starred with two other "Bond Girls", Claudine Auger and Barbara Bouchet in the mystery Black Belly of the Tarantula (1971) and had small roles in other Italian films. In 1977, she played Russian secret agent Anya Amasova in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). The following year, she appeared in the war film Force 10 from Navarone (1978), which also starred Robert Shaw and Harrison Ford.Look at this photograph, people! Just look at it! Wow! Yeah, that's some hot chick! Take it from me, this girl is the cream of the crop of James Bond 007's stable, and that takes some doing! But she's head and shoulders above the rest. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, from 1977. Yes, with Roger Moore, back in the days when James Bond meant fun on the grandest scale imaginable. Indeed, at its time, this was the biggest project ever undertaken on film. As for Barbara, she is a dream girl down to every last inch of her. No other Bond heroine can compare. Not then, not now, and I dare say never. Who better to have with you in the submerged Lotus Esprit?
Both FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE and ISLAND OF THE FISHMEN failed to make proper use of her beauty. The latter is one of the most truly bizarre (in a bad way) movies I have ever encountered, and has, let me put in succinctly, only one reason to exist: The best damned movie poster ever, even though there is no such scene in the movie (the producers just took a leaf from Roger Corman's book and lured in the customers with that glorious image of the exceedingly pretty girl floundering in the waves, fighting off those horrendous fish-creatures.
A movie I dearly want to see, is the one they should have made back then, living up to that image)
We really miss you, baby! Her movie career was cut short after a car accident in May 1980, which she only just survived, and marriage to former Beatle Ringo Starr in 1981, and nothing movie-wise from her after that, so robbing us of several hit movies that would have sizzled Eighties cinema screens.- Actress

The second daughter of manufacturing executive Oscar Blum and his wife Dorothy, Tanya Roberts was born 1949 in Manhattan and grew up in the elite Westchester County suburbs Scarsdale and Greenburgh. Tanya reportedly dropped out of high school, got married and hitchhiked around the country until her mother-in-law had the marriage annulled. She met psychology student Barry Roberts while waiting in line to see a movie. A few months later, she proposed to him in a subway station, and they were married. She studied acting under Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen. In her early years in New York, she supported herself as an Arthur Murray dance instructor and by modeling. She appeared in off-Broadway productions of "Picnic" and "Antigone", and in television commercials for Ultra Brite, Clairol and Cool Ray sunglasses.
In 1977, Tanya and her husband -- by then a scriptwriter -- moved to Hollywood. She began appearing in made-for-TV films including Pleasure Cove (1979), Zuma Beach (1978), and Waikiki (1980). Her film debut was in The Last Victim (1976). After appearing in several minor films, her first big break came when she was selected as the last Angel on the final season of Charlie's Angels (1976), and was featured on the cover of People magazine (02/09/1981). The attention she garnered helped secure her most significant film roles: The Beastmaster (1982) (and posed for the cover and an inside spread in Playboy magazine to promote the film), the title role in Sheena (1984) and as a Bond girl in A View to a Kill (1985). She continued to appear in films, though mainly direct-to-video and direct-to-cable features. She was featured in the CD computer game The Pandora Directive (1996) and had a recurring lead role in the television series That '70s Show (1998). Widowed in 2006, Tanya Roberts died of sepsis from a urinary tract infection in 2021.Tanya drew considerable negative press, or at least used to. It was nothing short of character assassination. I wasn't ever on a set with her, so I of course do not know anything, but what I do know is that she is the gloriously beautiful SHEENA, and I worship the ground her bare feet walked on! So all honor to Tanya. I also paid special attention to her performance in the James Bond thriller A VIEW TO A KILL for which she was so lambasted, and stlll feel that she was 100% dreamsville! As for early brunette performances, CHARLIE'S ANGELS, haven't watched the final season yet, took a long time till that got released, but BEASTMASTER on DVD years later showed me why they had her in mind for the Jungle Queen a few years later. Yes, glorious nudity, very tasteful, very Playboy-esque, very beautiful. Tanya in or out of a bikini is a sight to remember. I wonder if the lucky horse painted as a zebra enjoyed it as much as I did?- Actress

In her twenties, she played keyboard and sang backup for Jackson Browne. Hannah, a tall (5' 10") blond beauty, with haunting blue-green eyes, was a natural for show biz.
She started with small roles, such as a student in The Fury (1978) and as Kim Basinger's kid sister in Hard Country (1981). Daryl's breakout role was as the acrobatic, beautiful replicant punk android Pris in Blade Runner (1982); Pris was the vixen who wanted to live beyond her allotted years and risked the wrath of the title character. Showing her versatility, from there she portrayed a mermaid, Madison, who falls in love with Tom Hanks's character in Ron Howard's zany comedy Splash (1983), and a Cro-Magnon in The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986). Hannah played Roxanne in the eponymous Steve Martins contemporary take on the Cyrano de Bergerac story, and co-starred as Elle Driver in Quintin Tarantino's box office hit Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004).

She is a member of the World Future Council, sits on the boards of the Sylvia Earle Alliance, Mission Blue, Eco America, Environmental Media Association (EMA), The Somaly Mam Foundation, and the Action Sports Environmental Coalition, She is the founder of the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance (SBA).Another actress with life-long membership to this club due to a single movie, in this instance, 1984's SPLASH. As mermaid Madison she found a place in my heart. Nothing else by Daryl compares. I've got ROXANNE, ATTACK OF THE 50FT. WOMAN, THE CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR (very disappointing, they murdered the book) and AT PLAY IN THE FIELDS OF THE LORD, and I did see WALL STREET. Also got the DVD of THE LIFE, that foreign documentary on prostitution she was in, aka YO PUTA! But that thing is like, “What the hell was she doing there? Did she lose a bet?” You will notice that I do not bother with STEEL MAGNOLIAS; I know of it, but that's all. Guess why?
She does seem to go for loopy roles. SPLASH is such a fun movie that I of course do not mind.
Currently watching DANCING AT THE BLUE IGUANA, and I am glad to report that this is a good one! And Daryl, with those long legs, with that figure, in the year 2000, wow, how does she do it? Sixteen years after SPLASH, and she can play the part of a pole-dancing stripper in a way that most 18-year-olds can just forget to hold half a candle to...
Hell, Daryl, I'm just glad you didn't really become a contender to one day being the First Lady of America, what with John-John and all, because we'd have been robbed of this very vivid very vulnerable performance.- Actress

Rosanna Arquette has acted extensively in film and television, and has come to be acknowledged as an actress of rare depth and scope.
Arquette was born in New York City, New York. Her parents, Lewis Arquette, an actor, and Brenda Denaut (née Nowak), an acting teacher and therapist, had 4 other children: Richmond Arquette, Patricia Arquette, Alexis Arquette, and David Arquette, all actors. Her paternal grandfather, Cliff Arquette, also was an entertainer. Rosanna's mother was from an Ashkenazi Jewish family (from Poland and Russia), while Rosanna's father had French-Canadian, Swiss-German, and English ancestry.
Growing up in a family of actors, she began working at a young age. Her first big break came as a teenager with a role in the Movie of the Week The Dark Secret of Harvest Home (1978), which starred Bette Davis. Several television roles followed, including an ABC Afterschool Specials (1972) and a part on the series James at 16 (1977) before her talents led to her film debut in Gorp (1980). Since then she has acted in a steady stream of films, including John Sayles' Baby It's You (1983), Fathers & Sons (1992) with Jeff Goldblum, Silverado (1985) (which also featured Goldblum), The Linguini Incident (1991), Martin Scorsese's segment of New York Stories (1989) with Nick Nolte, and many others. She feels particularly proud of her offbeat roles in such independent films as After Hours (1985), Nobody's Fool (1986), and Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), for which she won the British Academy Award. Ms. Arquette was nominated for an Emmy for her work in the controversial The Executioner's Song (1982). She continues her work on television as well as the big screen.Should have been a Big Star. Never really flew a fraction as high as she should have. Don't blame her. Her talent just wasn't properly utilized. In DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN, she totally outclassed Madonna, but now, like lemmings the media attention stayed with The Trashy One.
BABY IT'S YOU: Unfortunately haven't seen. Heard it's underrated. Wouldn't be surprised.
THE BIG BLUE: She needed something much better, much bigger. I remember how I went cheering for her to the drive-in, but this... this... Well, that's what it feels like cheering for a losing team.
AFTER HOURS: Yeah baby! That's my girl!
8 MILLION WAYS TO DIE: Well, she was great! Movie 'had problems' (well, like the Titanic 'had problems') but she sparkled!
Now I'm going to say something, and if Rosanna is out there, cover your pretty ears, dear, cause I know you H-A-T-E it...
“All I Wanna Do When I Wake Up In The Morning Is See Your Eyes”. Yes, she was the inspiration for the 1983 Toto mega-hit, ROSANNA. It's not her in the music video, but you get the picture. Dammit, I would cry and wail and sign a morose love song too if I had lost out on that hot chick.- Actress

Rebecca De Mornay was born 1959 as Rebecca Jane Pearch, in Santa Rosa, CA, to Wally George and Julie Eager. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother moved to Pasadena and married Richard De Mornay, who adopted her. Rebecca's directing debut was with a segment of Showtime's The Outer Limits (1995) starring John Savage and Frank Whaley. Divorced from producer/screenwriter Bruce Wagner, Rebecca has two daughters, Sophia DeMornay-O'Neal and Veronica De Mornay-O'Neal, both fathered by sportscaster Patrick O'Neal, who is eight years her junior.Yeah, RISKY BUSINESS. She was great there. That movie is in the Hall of Fame already, but RavenGlamDVDCollector is prone to enthusing about those movies in the Hall of Infamy. The remake of AND GOD CREATED WOMAN. At that time, I had a tiny little bit of influence in selecting movies at our local drive-in theatre, and when submitting a list, always at the top, AND GOD CREATED WOMAN, after seeing the hot trailer on a rented VHS. But it didn't work. I had to wait till it was available at the video store. Now come on, I took one look at Rebecca in that trailer, and I was hooked. Even if that movie wasn't really as great as the trailer, it will always be remembered by me. Nothing else really compared to that trailer. Well, RISKY BUSINESS was great, and there's that Starship music video SARA that I begged local Sony BMG to release (do we see a pattern emerging here?) and they did (but really only because they were already planning to), but you can keep the other stuff, RUNAWAY TRAIN, BY DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT and even THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE. Just give me that trailer again. A friend re-recorded it for me several times in a straight sequence so that I needn't put the poor old VHS through all that rewind/play/rewind/play stress...
A later credit that was popular with me was BLIND SIDE, surprisingly a TV movie.
Rebecca had Big Star potential that almost failed to materialize were it not for that Nanny movie. Her career fizzled again after that. The curse of beauty in those days. They didn't take you seriously. Hey, Cameron Diaz had it easy!- Actress

Christina Rene Hendricks was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho. Her father, Robert, originally from England, worked for the U.S. Forest Service, while her mother, Jackie Sue (Raymond), was a psychologist. At the age of 13 her father transferred to the Forest Service Washington, D.C. headquarters and the family moved to nearby Fairfax, Virginia. She began acting at school and went into modeling from the ages of 18 to 27. In her early 20s, she also began appearing on television, landing a recurring role in Beggars and Choosers (1999) in 2000 and another on Kevin Hill (2004) before rising to international fame in Mad Men (2007). As well as her more famously conventional awards nominations (Emmys) and wins (SAG Awards) she also won a SyFy Genre Award in for "Best Special Guest/Television" for her role as Saffron in Joss Whedon's short-lived Firefly (2002).I haven't seen much of her. As a barmaid in ANGEL, in “Murder in the Morgue” in TRU CALLING, I knew of her at the time I watched those DVDs. But then, along flew FIREFLY, and she was Saffron, and if you do not know what I am talking about, but wanna see a dreamgirl, wow, look no further! Well, be advised that the character is not what she appears to be. It being sci-fi, let me set your mind at ease, no, she is not some hideous monster in disguise, it's just that she plays the game her way, that sweet thing worth 'going to special hell for' she is not, but now I have already said way, way too much. Fortunately, the character comes round for a second time in the short-lived series, so stay tuned. It is all the more tragic that the flight of the Serenity was cut short, for had there been a Season 2, Christina Hendricks would definitely have been back at least once.- Actress

New Yorker Claire Catherine Danes was born in Manhattan, the daughter of Carla (Hall), a day-care provider and artist, and Christopher Danes, a computer consultant and photographer. She has an older brother, Asa. Her paternal grandfather, Gibson Andrew Danes, was a Dean of the Yale School of Art and Architecture. She is of mostly German and British Isles descent.
Claire was educated at Dalton School, New York, The New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies, The Professional Performing Arts School and Lycée Français de Los Angeles. From 1998, she attended Yale University, studying psychology, but dropped out after two years to concentrate on her acting career.
Danes first came to major public attention when she appeared as "Angela Chase" in My So-Called Life (1994). She won an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe award for this performance. A successful film career followed, including the role of "Juliet", opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet (1996). She continued acting in such varied project as The Hours (2002), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) and Stardust (2007).
In 2010, she appeared in the HBO Production, Temple Grandin (2010), playing the title character. She received huge critical acclaim for the role, and won an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance. Since 2011, she has starred on the SHOWTIME series Homeland (2011), receiving great critical acclaim and winning Emmys and Golden Globes.MY SO-CALLED LIFE was poignant, unforgettable, just plain good. And if Baz Luhrmann's ROMEO + JULIET presents itself with subtitles, it is an experience to savor. Claire is wonderful in both of these.
The scene in which Romeo and Juliet meet while both admiring an aquarium, cements Claire as one of the prettiest actresses of all time.- Actress

Rebecca Hall was born in London, England, the daughter of Peter Hall, a stage director and founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Maria Ewing, an opera singer. Her father was English. Her mother, who is American, is of Dutch and African-American origin. Her parents separated when she was still young, and they divorced in 1990. She has a half-brother, Edward Hall, who is a theatre director, and four other half-siblings, including theatre designer Lucy Hall, veteran TV drama producer Christopher Hall, and Jennifer Caron Hall, a writer and painter.Admiiedly, I've only seen her in one movie, and that was last week, so yes, she is my current infatuation. But if her performance in VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA is anything to go by, I would not be disappointed in my upcoming quest to find more of her work. The newcomer that gave Scarlett Johansson more than a run for her money in the Woody Allen classic, Rebecca personifies class, elegance and timeless appeal. My highest recommendations!- Actress

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas where she graduated Lake Highlands High School, Amy Acker is the oldest of four children; she has two sisters and one brother. An acting major at Southern Methodist University, Amy acted in several college theater productions. She appeared in various roles during the fantasy segments for the popular award-winning children's TV series Wishbone (1995), which was filmed in Texas and consisted of Dallas theater actors. Upon graduation she worked in Wisconsin and New York before winning the role of "Fred" on Angel (1999).The darling of the TV series ANGEL, as Winifred Burkle. I think every true-blue red-blooded ANGEL aficionado fell in love with Fred. And then she was ripped away from us, and we realized just how much we really loved her. Yes, the most memorable film death ever, the 'Bambi's-mother-got-shot' moment for legions of ANGEL fans, only we were Bambi, looking on aghast...
She was also in DOLLHOUSE and ALIAS, and is therefore totally established as an actress playing characters landing up in ultra-weird supercreepy situations. I have yet to get to THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, but it is of course along those lines.- Actress

Liv Tyler is an actress of international renown and has been a familiar face on our screens for over two decades and counting. She began modelling at the age of fourteen before pursuing a career in acting. After making her film debut in Bruce Beresford's Silent Fall, she was cast by fledgling director James Mangold (who would go on to direct such hits as Girl, Interrupted, Walk the Line and Logan) in his first feature Heavy, a critical and commercial success that went on to gain cult status. This was followed by another indie cult hit, Empire Records, but it was the leading role in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty that catapulted her to stardom at the age of eighteen.
Liv was next seen in Tom Hanks' hugely successful passion project That Thing You Do!, his paean to the glory days of 1960s rock 'n' roll (as the child of a rock 'n' roll background, this was a film whose subject was also dear to Liv's heart). This was followed by Michael Bay's action blockbuster Armageddon, starring alongside Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck and Steve Buscemi, who would later go on to direct Liv in Lonesome Jim.
Liv had come to the attention of director Robert Altman in Stealing Beauty and the late, great auteur went on to cast her in two of his final projects, Cookie's Fortune and Dr T and the Women, describing her as "very serious, very prepared and very professional...I am crazy about her."
In between her work for Altman, Liv starred opposite Ralph Fiennes in Onegin, directed by his sister Martha, from the classic novel by Alexander Pushkin. Ralph Fiennes said of Liv, "We tested a lot of actresses but Liv has an acute sense of emotional truth that's not performed or projected, but just is."
In 2001, Liv portrayed Arwen in the ground-breaking epic The Lord of the Rings trilogy: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.
Nothing if not eclectic, Liv then defied expectations by starring in cult director Kevin Smith's gentle low-budget comedy Jersey Girl, re-uniting her with her Armageddon co-star Ben Affleck, before playing Betty, the female lead to Edward Norton's Bruce Banner in Marvel's The Incredible Hulk.
An actress who consistently refuses to be pigeonholed, Liv's career is one that cuts across genres; she cannot be defined by the roles she has chosen and is led, above all, by what speaks to her on an instinctual and emotional level. "It's very difficult to say no to whatever comes along," Tom Hanks has said of her, "...But she's saying no to all the right things."
In addition to her acting work, Liv has forged a decade-long relationship with Givenchy as the spokesperson for their fragrance and cosmetics line. Liv is also a brand ambassador for Triumph lingerie, developing a capsule collection that celebrates the company's commitment to body confidence, as exemplified by Liv herself, "a modern woman in every sense, a mother and actress with a fierce sense of femininity that women across the world can relate to."
Liv's previous design collaboration was with Belstaff, resulting in two capsule collections for the iconic British heritage brand. Liv has also been the face of commercial campaigns for several global brands, including Visa and Pantene. No, not for the pixie ears. I've never gotten around to that. Too much of a purist for that. STEALING BEAUTY, now you're talking! Bernardo Bertolucci's 1996 classic! And the classic as far as infatuation with lovely Liv goes! A must-see if you call yourself a Liv Tyler fan. Also ONE EVENING AT MCCOOL'S and ARMAGEDDON. She also has her own music video, done in 2012, a cover version of the INXS song NEED YOU TONIGHT in classy monochrome. Gee, she'd be well advised not to quit her day job as an actress-superstar in favor of being a recording artist, but I liked it. Nothing more like that?.
STEALING BEAUTY shot her to instant fame. Suddenly, there was this magical fairy of a newcomer on the scene. The prettiest thing of 1996, debuting at the Cannes film festival before opening the next month in the USA. Photographers fought each other to in pursuit of a shot of Liv Tyler, who played Lucy Harmon, returning for a visit to Tuscany to find the boy she kissed four years before, and to clear up the mystery of the identity of her father*, and to lose her virginity. All set in the rustic charm of rural Italy. But who cares about the beautiful countryside when there is a girl to go ga-ga about who is truly. Magnificently in the drop-dead gorgeous class? An elegant long-legged fawn. Truly a peach blossom...
*Liv was at the time still reeling from the big news in her personal life that Steve Tyler, from Aerosmith, was her real father. It helped make her the ideal contender for the part.
She was of course the love interest in that 1998 asteroid-about-to-annihilate-Earth space drama ARMAGEDDON in which she starred opposite Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck as Grace Stamper, very much the personification of why Earth just had to be saved with such a beautiful, beautiful creature waiting back there...
ONE EVENING AT MCCOOL'S was her femme fatale attempt. She's three men over the legal limit.- Actress

Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976 in San Francisco, California, the youngest of three children. She is the daughter of Didi (Radford), a former flight attendant, and Monty Silverstone, a real estate investor. Her English-born father is from a Jewish family, while her Scottish-born mother converted to Judaism. Alicia's career began at the tender age of six, when her father took some photos of his young daughter, which eventually led to her getting several television commercials. After a guest spot on The Wonder Years (1988) as a literal "dream girl", she moved on to movies. She landed a role in The Crush (1993), a sort of Fatal Attraction (1987) for teenagers in which she portrayed a disturbed young girl obsessed with an older man. The nasty little role did not impress the critical establishment but it wowed its target audience: teenagers. In fact, the role won her the 1994 MTV Movie Award for "Best Villain" and "Breakthrough Performance". It is interesting to note that during the filming of the movie, Alicia became an emancipated minor in order to get around child labor laws which would have interfered with her working hours. She was a dedicated actress from early on.
The film also caught the attention of Aerosmith, who hired her to appear in a string of their music videos. The first of them, "Cryin'", was voted the #1 video of all time on MTV. Silverstone was definitely a hit with the MTV crowd, but larger commercial success still eluded her. That all changed when she landed the role of Cher in Amy Heckerling's Clueless (1995). Cher was the antithesis of Alicia's role in The Crush; this time around, she was a rich, naive yet endearing girl from Beverly Hills in search of love in the 1990s. The film was a huge box-office hit and wowed both audiences and critics alike and demonstrated Alicia's strength and bankability. She was hailed as the woman of the hour, and branded the spokeswoman for an emerging young generation. She signed a deal with Columbia TriStar worth $10 million and got the coveted role of Batgirl in the Batman franchise. Also, as part of the package, she received a three-year first-look deal for her own production company, First Kiss Productions. The first film released by First Kiss was Excess Baggage (1997).Cher Horowitz in CLUELESS. I rest my case. Wow! Amy Heckerling's big 1995 hit based on Jane Austen's 1815 novel 'Emma' gave newcomer Alicia her breakout role. The surprise sleeper hit, with Cher as a girl with direction in life... straight to the mall!
THE BABYSITTER: (1995) I will have to fork out 3 grand to be able to see this. Three grand buys about 400 litres of Coca-Cola at regular price. I don't know where South African importer WantItAll got their access to this one, seems to not be Amazon, but obviously one of you Americans want $100, and WantItAll has to make an astronomical profit to be able to deal with risky imports in a corrupt country such as mine. Mostly it is just greed, though, pure greed. I have no YouTube access, either. Hey, here's an idea for your good deed for the day, dear IMDb member, download it for me, and contact me at RavenGlamDVDCollector@gmail.com, I'm sure we could make a deal. I'm just a poor ol' girl-crazy movie nut, help a fella out? :) agh, people are so mean...
TRUE CRIME: (1996) Thwarted by my lack of YouTube again. Same here, people! Noticed the reviewer on IMDb having high praise for both his heroine and this movie, and I so would like to see this. Little chance though, but I've called in an expert tracker at Takealot.
Also, EXCESS BAGGAGE. Another Wow! After CLUELESS, though, she had herself to beat, and that was tough competition, and perhaps this is why this 1997 movie isn't popular. She is great as the girl who fakes her own kidnapping to get her father's attention, only to really get abducted in a car heist. Feisty! Like the guy tells her, he once stole a car that had a chihauhau in the back, and she was giving him just as much trouble. Fun to watch!
Unfortunately her career fizzled out, having started with the supernova that was CLUELESS, she found that a hard act to follow. Alicia recently returned to the big screen in VAMPS, reuniting with Amy Heckerling. I will be reporting on this soon.- Actress

Anna Falchi was born on 22 April 1972 in Tampere, Finland. She is an actress and producer, known for Cemetery Man (1994), C'è Kim Novak al telefono (1994) and S.P.Q.R. 2000 e 1/2 anni fa (1994). She was previously married to Stefano Ricucci. This is an exotic bird, people. She was in the Italian mini-series DESIDERIA E L'ANELLO DEL DRAGO back in 1994, as Desideria, and as such, she will not be known to American audiences, although the research I've done points out that she is in a foreigh film dubbed as CEMETERY MAN which is at least known on US shores.
People, let me tell you about DESIDERIA E L'ANELLO DEL DRAGO. It is so damned good that I have searched for it high and lo for about six years after having seen it on local pay-channel M-Net as a mini-series back in the mid-Nineties with an English soundtrack, DESIDERIA AND THE DRAGON RING. I finally had the option to buy, at an exorbitant price, a dubbed-into-German version, and though I screamed inwardly at the horrible thought of having to forsake my beloved English language, for this title I would have done anything! So today I began watching DER RING DES DRACHEN, and the screen is filled with absolute magic. The director knows how to play with color, and the story has considerable appeal.
Not that it is something for everybody, but Anna Falchi is unbelievably beautiful, a true vision of loveliness. I'd advise all the Americans out there to try and obtain this, even if they only download it in parts as I did last year just before obtaining the German DVD. The download is at least in the original Italian. Do not be fooled as I was late last year, practically jumping out of my skin with joy 'oh-boy-here's-a-download-for-Desideria-and-the-Dragon-Ring-it's-gonna-be-English' - whatever the name of the entry, it's all in Italian. Find it in good ol' English, better e-mail me at RavenGlamDVDCollector@gmail.com or be cursed forever, schwein!
Check this movie out on one of my other Lists, 40 Favorite Glam Movies of RavenGlamDVDCollector, and on its site on IMDb, where I am one of the reviewers. Currently still in progress, so wait a bit, currently watching my DVD in four parts. Almost finished.
I'd say that Anna Falchi as Desideria is one of the top contenders for Most Beautiful Girl on Film ® and if you know The Raven, you'd know that there is no greater accolade than this.- Actress

Hilary was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Judith Kay (Clough), a secretary, and Stephen Michael Swank, who served in the National Guard and was also a traveling salesman. Her maternal grandmother, Frances Martha Dominguez, was of Mexican descent, and her other roots include German, English, and Scottish. During her early childhood, her family moved to Spokane, Washington, and when she was six, to Bellingham, Washington.
Hilary was discovered as a child by producer Suzy Sachs, who coached her in acting. When she was nine years old, she starred in her first play as "Mowgli" in "The Jungle Book". She began to appear regularly in local theater and school plays. She went to school in Bellingham, where she lived with her family, until she was 16. She competed in the Junior Olympics and Washington State championships in swimming; she ranked 5th in the state in all-around gymnastics (which would come in handy for starring in The Next Karate Kid (1994) years later). In 1990, Hilary and her mother moved to Los Angeles, where she enrolled in South Pasadena High School, and started acting professionally. She appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) but The Next Karate Kid (1994), where she got the part competing against hundreds of other actresses, was her breakout role. Ever since then, she has been much in demand and has worked non-stop in movies. She won the Best Actress Oscar for playing "Brandon Teena" in Boys Don't Cry (1999). In addition to the Oscar, Hilary won the Golden Globe Award for "Best Actress in a Drama" and "Best Actress" prizes from The New York Film Critics, The Los Angeles Film Critics, The Chicago Film Critics and The Broadcast Film Critics Association. She also won the "Breakthrough Performance" prize from The National Board of Review.
Hilary then appeared in supporting roles opposite Cate Blanchett and Keanu Reeves in Sam Raimi's The Gift (2000) and opposite Al Pacino and Robin Williams in Christopher Nolan's Insomnia (2002). Hilary then starred as "Alice Paul" in HBO's Iron Jawed Angels (2004), which told the story of the women's suffragist movement and she was honored with both SAG and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in this film. In 2004, Hilary starred opposite Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman as the title character in Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby (2004); the story of a young woman's quest to realize her dream of becoming a professional boxer. For this performance, she was honored with her second Academy Award for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role" and has garnered "Best Actress" prizes from the National Society of Film Critics, the Screen Actors Guild, The Broadcast Film Critics, and a Golden Globe for "Best Lead Actress in a Drama".
Hilary Swank is the third youngest woman in history to win two Academy Awards for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role".
She subsequently had a supporting role opposite Scarlett Johansson and Josh Hartnett in Brian De Palma's The Black Dahlia (2006), starred in Freedom Writers (2007), the true story of Long Beach schoolteacher, Erin Gruwell, The Reaping (2007) for Warner Brothers, and reunited with her Freedom Writers (2007) writer/director, Richard LaGravenese, starring in the film adaptation of Cecelia Ahern's novel, P.S. I Love You (2007).
An aficionado for anything that involves the outdoors, she enjoys: sky diving, river rafting and skiing.Just when BEVERLY HILLS 90210 was tottering drunkenly on the edge of the abyss in 1997, the producers livened up the series with movie star Hilary Swank, who instantly made the eighth season a must-see again as Carly Reynolds.
Uhm, yes, I know she has bigger claims to fame, BOYS DON'T CRY and MILLION DOLLAR BABY, but they're not my kind of subject matter. Did see THE REAPING (kinda disappointing) and P.S. I LOVE YOU (kinda okay, but nothing stellar) and THE RESIDENT (kinda disappointing too) and I almost forgot about that utterly forgettable THE BLACK DAHLIA (the less said about that bore the better) and i'm trying to find THE NEXT KARATE KID on a DVD so that I can see that nice movie where I first met her again, but I just realized that I've never seen her in my kind of movie, something that would truly have befitted her glamorous appeal.- Actress

Natascha McElhone was born in Walton on Thames, London. She attended several schools, Camden School for Girls being the last.
Natascha McElhone established herself as a talented leading actress when she left drama school in 1993 to play the lead in her first film, Merchant Ivory's Surviving Picasso, opposite Anthony Hopkins.
She quickly followed this with Peter Weir's film, The Truman Show; Alan J. Pakula's The Devil's Own, with Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford; and John Frankenheimer's action epic Ronin, in which she co-starred with Robert De Niro. She also played Rosalind to Kenneth Branagh's Berowne in his musical version of William Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost.
In 2003, McElhone co-starred with George Clooney in Steven Soderbergh's futuristic love story, Solaris. McElhone starred in TNT's mini-series The Company, a Golden Globe-nominated drama. In 2005, she starred in NBC's Emmy-nominated mini-series, Revelations.

She has just completed filming 'The Sea' starring with Rufus Sewell, Ciaran Hinds and Charlotte Rampling also to be released in 2013.I challenge every two-bit critic out there to refute my claim that there is nobody but nobody out there in this whole wide forsaken damn world who could play the part of Karen in CALIFORNICATION as well as the perennially lovely Natascha McElhone. I'm slamming my mug of steaming hot coffee down on the counter and staring you worthless lot in the face and I know that for damn once I have an inassailable argument and you will all skulk off like losers.
Yeah, baby! Natascha! She commanded both respect and admiration the moment Karen appeared on the screen, cool, calm, her act together, stylishly in control, yet deeply vulnerable. And damn beautiful! Love that mane!
Hank, how could you not have married her? She is everything a guy needs, and more!
I have yet to see her in anything else, but then again, CALIFORNICATION is so phenomenally fantastic, who needs more? I will be cheering for my favorite on-screen couple till the end; currently at S05E01...- Actress

Marnette Patterson is an American-born actress who was raised in Los Angeles, California. Her name is a combination of her two great grandmothers: Mary and Nettie. Her aunt is Dana Dillaway, former child actress who appeared in Giant (1956) as Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson's daughter Judy. Marnette started her career on Nightmare on Elm Street followed by Sliver with Sharon Stone and William Baldwin. She worked in many film and television projects before landing in comedy. She was a series regular on multiple sitcom and single camera projects. She then went on to the TV show Charmed for it's final season. She is also a singer who started as a junior vocal winner on "Star Search" and was the voice of Lucy in Charlie Brown. She has worked in numerous film and television projects with the likes of Amy Adams, Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper among many others. She recently produced and starred in a film called Charisma Killers and is slated to produce and star in one summer of 2023.Just look at this great shot of her! Hope it doesn't get changed!* Wow, what a stunningly beautiful classy elegant chick! Oh, drool! I'd pick an orchard of flowers for this one! (sigh)

There was this TV series CHARMED. Always sounded promising to me, taking THE CRAFT and turning it into a TV series. It was however not well cast, even though lots of people might disagree with me. I urge you though, think about it a bit? Thought so. But I had sprung for the Complete Collection and waded through the obnoxious threesome (actually foursome) towards the bitter end when, lo and behold, it got S-W-E-E-T in season 8 with the arrival of bad girl Christy Jenkins played by Marnette Patterson. (Bad girl? Hell, at least she wasn't obnoxious!) Suddenly CHARMED charmed.
She is typecast as the very, very pretty girl with the mean streak. Currently watching WHO'S YOUR DADDY? and this will be no different. Also seen in BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, not that great, but with Marnette in it, had to have it.
I think Hollywood really took a wrong turn when it came to Marnette. She should have been a feisty heroine in a TV series, not just always the despicable character. She is, after all, a darling! Had 90210 come along a little bit sooner, I'm sure it would have had her in it!

Bridget Jane Fonda was born in Los Angeles, California, to Susan Brewer and actor Peter Fonda. She is the granddaughter of Henry Fonda and niece of Jane Fonda, both famous actors. Bridget made her film debut at age five as an extra in Easy Rider (1969), but first became interested in acting after appearing in a high school production of "Harvey." At age 18, she enrolled at New York University and spent four years there and at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.
She went on to hone her craft in workshop productions and worked on such stage projects as "Just Horrible," written by Nicholas Kazan, who later cast Bridget in his directorial debut, "Professional Man," an episode for The Edge (1989) series on HBO. She also starred in PBS's Jacob Have I Loved (1989) and in a segment of Aria (1987), a film composed of short works by 10 respected directors. Her film credits include The Godfather Part III (1990), Strapless (1989), Doc Hollywood (1991), Singles (1992), and Single White Female (1992).Bridget I have seen in a truckload of movies. Most notably the one that skyrocketed her to success, SINGLE WHITE FEMALE. But she is not added to this List for that blockbuster. Before the star of POINT OF NO RETURN and SCANDAL (in which her part is small but crucial) became famous for anything else than having feisty ol' Jane BARBARELLA Fonda as her aunt, Peter Fonda as her Dad, and Henry Fonda as her grandfather, the little princess of Hollywood royalty appeared in a low-budget dismally failed movie called LEATHER JACKETS which would have been gone and forgotten had the supernova of her success not dredged it up. Childhood friends on the run from Asian gang hell-bent on revenge, starts off as gangster thriller, almost becomes decent road movie, but then blows out. Movie is derisively described as 'a bloody mess' and lives up to its notoriety, but it is the very definition of a prime example of 'you can't keep a good girl/budding star down'. The script is mostly *beep* horrible, but Bridget manages to shine as if she has a far-off vision of the red carpets of Oscar night. There is that scene in the car where Claudie holds her own against the guys taunting her. I've played that bit on Repeat over and over and over. Had the whole movie been like that!
Downclass movie with uptown star. Bad, bad, bad, all wrong, but whenever Bridget's on screen, highly watchable. Come and see paradise...
SINGLE WHITE FEMALE. Did her career a world of good, but not my favorite Bridget film. While her trendsetting look inspired millions, shorter hair is not the look for her. Give me LEATHER JACKETS anyday, at least there she is at her utmost best...
Rivalled by 1993's BODIES, REST & MOTION though. Deeply emotional relationship movie with only one factor keeping it watchable: The beauty of co-star Bridget, because without her, what's there to watch?
Several breathtaking closeups, one teary-eyed, one blissfully near-orgasmic where she is receiving oral sex, and that one where she gathers herself to come to her senses not to fall into a rebound relationship (in the bathroom). Really, you have to see this. Not that the slow-paced relationship drama will be most people's cup of tea, most guys would get bored, but Bridget fans will be in HappyLand.
Currently watching POINT OF NO RETURN. Considering her other movie titles, it is an experience to watch Bridget as an action heroine. You just know that Quentin Tarantino had also been watching this 'in the video store' when it was new on the circuit. Notice that 'legs-stretched-out-bare-feet' scene about just under halfway in the movie, and you'll see where he got his inspiration from for the sexually-charged barefoot scene in JACKIE BROWN. Must be wonderful to get to work with your heroines, huh, Quentin?
JACKIE BROWN. Not the kind of movie where you'd expect the likes of Bridget Fonda, who's more or less locked in my mind as her character in THE ROAD TO WELVILLE. Here she is gangster Samuel L. Jackson's sexy live-in girlfriend (oh, he wishes! he wishes hard!) and ends up getting (***spoiler alert***spoiler alert***spoiler alert) shot in the parking terrain by Robert de Niro. The part is relatively small, but she is intensely memorable as the inquisitive little snoop.- Actress

Rebecca Gayheart was born on 12 August 1971 in Hazard, Kentucky, USA. She is an actress and director, known for Jawbreaker (1999), Nothing to Lose (1997) and Urban Legend (1998). She has been married to Eric Dane since 29 October 2004. They have two children. As Toni Marchette, she provided a short-lived reason to watch ailing ol' BEVERLY HILLS 90210. When Dylan's love interest got gunned down, series went into a long, long, long glamor slump.
JAWBREAKER: (1999) She is, of course, my favorite. Scriptwriters couldn't do anything else but make her character nice! How fitting!
NIP/TUCK: (episodes from 2002) Unforgivable that she had to play THAT part. Okay, so what else can you expect from the weirdest show of them all? But casting her as an uglified blind character born without pupils, what a waste! Okay, she was very memorable in the part, but mind you, she would be memorable whatever she does. In all fairness, I am by definition not the person to comment on this performance.- Actress

Denise Richards was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, the older of two daughters of Joni Lee, who owned a coffee shop, and Irv Richards, a telephone engineer. She has German, French-Canadian, Irish, English, and Welsh ancestry. She grew up in the Chicago area, until the family relocated to Oceanside, CA when Denise was 15. She began working as a model, and moved to L.A. after she graduated from high school. She landed parts in both TV and movies, and gave breakthrough performances in Starship Troopers (1997) with Casper Van Dien, Wild Things (1998) and The World Is Not Enough (1999), in which she plays a Bond Girl. She also was in Undercover Brother (2002) with Eddie Griffin and appeared in Scary Movie 3 (2003) with her now ex-husband, Charlie Sheen.Denise, Denise, Denise. You aren't really on this list for your filmic achievements. You're on this list because your looks are so hot damn fantastic.
THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH: The world at large had a lot to say about her being cast in this nuclear scientist part. Yeah, it wasn't ideal. She should have made a far more memorable Bond girl. She had the potential.
WILD THINGS: I've got the DVD but haven't watched it yet. Forthcoming treat.
THE LIFE a.k.a. WHORE originally YO PUTA: Pseudo-documentary with fake-front advertising. She was just wasting her time with this excuse for an idea. Hell, figured that it was highly unlikely the Ice Princess would undress for the camera, but did not expect her screen-time to be almost less than that of the rambunctious West Ghanan hooker in the ubiquitous interviews.
BLONDE AND BLONDER: All I can say, is that I expected more, and better. It was utterly disappointing.- Actress

Cathy Podewell was born on 26 January 1964 in Evanston, Illinois, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for Night of the Demons (1988), Dallas (1978) and Dallas (2012). She has been married to Steven Glueck since 28 May 1989. They have three children. The only good thing about the last seasons of DALLAS. She was Cally, who gave ol' J.R. more than he expected. With her sweet little face, she never made it big on the silver screen, but I just wuv ya, ya darlin' thing! And baby got a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Actress in a Prime-Time slot for portraying Cally Harper Ewing in DALLAS!
NIGHT OF THE DEMONS: (1988) Currently unable to acquire this on DVD, but downloaded the trailer. Movie seems like junk of the highest degree from my point of view, but with that pretty face off-setting all those hideously bad stinky-looking monsters, I'd be fool enough to buy the damn thing. Gee, this is clearly a movie that pathed a way to the Oscars, I mean, you hadda use an oxcart along a dirt path to lug the cans of film to the only obscure drive-in theater to show the thing to a buncha nutter weirdos...:)
DALLAS seasons 12, 13 & 14: (1988 - 1991) Cally Harper, J.R.'s Hicktown toy for the night. She faked a pregnancy, there was a shotgun wedding, and, as Bobby eloquently put it, she married beneath her station.
EARTH ANGEL: (1991) Little movie, of note to me solely because the darling of DALLAS is in it.
BEVERLY HILLS 90210, single episode: (1993) Ginger O'Hara/Marla Crawford. Plays the little scoundrel who had to sneak out a bathroom window to make her escape. Bright spark of interest in otherwise dull show.
DALLAS, series revival: (2013) Don't have this, so cannot comment. Wonder how she aged? Asked with trepidation.- Actress

Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas, Texas, to Gayle (Gaston), a national director at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright, a pharmaceutical executive. She grew up in San Diego, California. She started her professional career as a model in 1980 at age 14, and worked both in Paris and Japan. After finishing high school she decided to become an actress. She got a role on the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy. During the first season of the show, she fell in love with fellow cast member Dane Witherspoon, whom she married in 1986. Meanwhile, she starred in The Princess Bride (1987), playing the title role. After leaving the cast of Santa Barbara, she got the starring role in Denial (1990) alongside Jason Patric. In 1990, she was in State of Grace (1990), where she met actor Sean Penn, by whom she had a daughter, Dylan Frances, and a son, Hopper Jack. After taking some time off, Robin was back to Hollywood with one the best roles of her career: She played Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was extremely stunning and brilliant. Then, she acted in Toys (1992) with Robin Williams, and she gave a funny performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster hit Forrest Gump (1994), with Tom Hanks. For her performance as Jenny, she got a nomination for a Golden Globe Award. She got a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995), which starred Jack Nicholson. After turning down 14 roles, she played the title role of MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by Pen Densham, and co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. She then starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997), with William Hurt.Forever in my heart as Kelly Capwell. Yeah, Princess Buttercup was, after all, entire short-lived compared to my three-times-a-week fix of the lovely Kelly. SANTA BARBARA, THE PRINCESS BRIDE, I didn't really go for STATE OF GRACE and yessis, who wants to watch (yuck!) FORREST GUMP? Well, she is the box of chocolates in it, but I've just come from watching THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO and feel that I should stick to more conventional glamorous type movies in future. Robin was glorious in there, despite having aged, in fact, she underlined it for me, I don't want to see junky heroines. The world is going backwards enough already.
They don't come prettier than Robin, and if they did, they would need a license, for they'd drive us menfolk crazier than merely nuts.
P.S. Anybody got SANTA BARBARA on DVD? Hell, I can just see the Complete Box Set, a stack of discs that can fill a pipeline.- Tessie Santiago was born on 10 August 1975 in Miami, Florida, USA. She is an actress, known for Queen of Swords (2000), Devil's Whisper (2019) and Scandal (2012). She has been married to Carlos Bernard since 30 December 2013.I'll just bet you've never heard of her. But back in 2000, she was the QUEEN OF SWORDS, Tessa Alvarado, in the short-lived TV series. To know that is to love it very much. Her father's Avenging Angel, she fights back against the corrupt military regime of Colonel Montoya in early 19th Century California. Swords, horses, cavalry soldiers, muskets, in the days of sailing ships. Female Zorro? Pshaw! Zorro can go hump his horse for all I care. The Queen is this sexy fiery fox with a lace mask and a chestnut mane matched only by her stallion. I'm afraid you ordinary folk out there won't ever see it. To obtain it on DVD is very difficult. But SOUS LE SIGNE L'EPEE is what it is called in France, and that's how you'll have to buy it, no other way. Never fear though, includes the original English soundtrack.
- Willa Joanna Chance Holland (born June 18, 1991) is an American actress, voice actress and model. She is known for her role as Kaitlin Cooper in the FOX teen drama The O.C., Agnes Andrews in The CW series Gossip Girl and, most recently, Thea Queen / Speedy in Arrow. Holland was born in Los Angeles, to cinematographer Keith Holland and actress Darnell Gregorio-De Palma. Her mother was remarried to director Brian De Palma from 1995-97. She grew up with two sisters: Brianna Holland (b. 1988) and Piper De Palma (b. 1996). Holland attended Palisades Charter High School for only six weeks because her career was taking off and school peers were dismissive of her acting pursuits. At age seven, Holland played at her stepfather's neighbor's house in The Hamptons, New York. The neighbor, Steven Spielberg, was filming home videos and told Holland's parents, "You've got to put her in front of a camera".
Upon returning to Los Angeles that September, Holland signed with Ford Modeling Agency at age seven, and immediately booked a shoot for Burberry. The following year, 1999, De Palma took Holland to a theatrical talent agency. Since then she has appeared in many national commercials. During 2001 when Holland was ten, she worked alongside her cinematographer father in Ordinary Madness (2001). She was even slated to co-star in the 2005 Fox series The Inside with fellow model Rachel Nichols, but left the show when writer Tim Minear was brought in to overhaul it. She played the role of Kaitlin Cooper on The O.C. (2003); initially as a recurring character in season 3, but then as a regular in season four. In December 2007, Holland was cast in the independent drama film Garden Party (2008), playing the role of April, a troubled teenage aspiring model who tries to make it in Los Angeles. In September 2008, The CW announced Holland would appear in three episodes of the second season of the teen-drama television series Gossip Girl (2007), created by The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz. Holland played the role of Agnes Andrews, a rebellious 16-year-old model who befriends and creates havoc for Taylor Momsen's character. She also appeared in the films Middle of Nowhere (2008) and A Summer in Genoa (2008).
In March 2010, Holland made a one-off return in the 16th episode of the third season, The Empire Strikes Jack (2010), which aired March 29, 2010. She voiced Aqua in the PlayStation Portable title, "Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep", which was released on September 7, 2010 in North America. That same year, Holland starred in her first major studio film in the apocalyptic thriller film Legion (2010), playing the role of a bratty teenager.
She played teen-temptress Janice Heddon in the film Straw Dogs (2011), a remake of the 1971 film of the same name. The film opened in September 2011. In February 2012, Holland was cast in The CW action-adventure series Arrow (2012), based on the Green Arrow comic books, where she plays Thea Queen, the sister of Oliver Queen. In the film Tiger Eyes (2012), released in April 2012, Holland starred as Davey Wexler. The film was based on the 1981 novel of the same name, written by Judy Blume.Mission: Find a young actress worthy of portraying the sister of Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton) for the third season of THE O.C. Tall order, I would have thought. But laying eyes on Willa Holland as Kaitlin Cooper the moment “The Sister Act” began, wow! to say I was impressed is putting it mildly. The girl steals the show in every scene. I am currently just about halfway through the season and refrains from checking up on Wikipedia what the future holds in store, but if the producers knew what was good for them, they'd have held on to her for Season 4.
Which, of course, they did. If there's one girl in the world who could take Mischa Barton's place in THE O.C., it is Willa. - Actress

Elsa Pataky was born Elsa Lafuente Medianu in Madrid, Spain. Her mother, Cristina Pataky Medianu, is a publicist of Romanian and Hungarian ancestry, and her father, José Francisco Lafuente, is a Spanish biochemist. She attended the Universidad de San Pablo CEU where she studied journalism and began to take an interest in acting. She joined Teatro Cámara de Ángel Gutiérrez, a theater company in Madrid, and left college when she was offered a role in the long-running Spanish TV series Al salir de clase (1997).
More Spanish TV roles followed, alongside a growing career in movies, first in Spain but increasingly internationally.
She met her husband, Chris Hemsworth, through the management company that represents them both, ROAR.Okay, so I don't know about THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. I am one of the biggest QUEEN OF SWORDS fanatics in this world, and she plays the lovely, deceitful Vera. I am still busy watching on DVD, about halfway through, and it is clear that there is a three-dimensional quality to her character, she is not just a treacherous bad girl who frequently cuckolds her aging overweight husband. But anyway, my focus, as always, falls on the actress. That lovely face with the delicate, finely-sculpted features, and that voice. That incredibly lovely voice, that speaks of being very, very naughty, and very, very nice. So, okay, yet another actress I've only seen in one part, but back in the day, she was a major drawcard for me to watch QUEEN OF SWORDS, and during my long search for it on DVD, I had her in mind.- Actress

American leading lady, briefly prominent on screen during the 80s and 90's. Blond, gray-eyed Darlanne (whose not very Hollywood-sounding birth name literally translates to 'wing' in German) began her career in 1974 as a model with the Eileen Ford and Zoli Agencies in New York. Seven year later, though very much a success in this most competitive industry (earning $300 per hour) she decided, that, at 25, she "was washed up as a model". Determined to make a serious go of becoming an actress, Darlanne's early film roles instead suggested inevitable typecasting as high fashion models, accentuating allure factor rather than acting ability. As it turned out, more promising offers did come her way, beginning with a role as the chief love interest in Roger Corman's cultish space opera Battle Beyond the Stars (1980). She was then briefly featured as Robert De Niro's girlfriend Eve, the first person murdered in Once Upon a Time in America (1984), followed by a grittier role as a junkie/police informant in To Live and Die in L.A. (1985). Between 1986 and 1991, Darlanne derived her primary source of income from the small screen where she found an appreciative audience playing Julie Torello, the wife of Dennis Farina's tough 1960s Chicago cop in Crime Story (1986) and Lacey Marseille in season three of Wiseguy (1987). She took over the female lead in season seven of Hunter (1984), but, given 'creative differences' between her and co-star Fred Dryer , she wanted to quit the show and her character was killed off after twelve episodes. Darlanne's career then gradually lost direction and she retired from acting in the mid-90s. Between 2002 and 2007, she held a position as a college professor teaching drama and production at the University of Central Florida film faculty.Thank you, Darlanne, for being so very, very pretty, and obviously sweet, you saved me from wasting a pot of money on BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS. There was that other 'actress' in it, and the press, back in the old days, focused on her, and I only saw a pic or two, enough to wet my appetite, but when I got it on DVD decades later, I was instantly disappointed (actually, quite embarrassed). But your presence in there made the experience more than worth it. You have beauty, grace, elegance, what were the press thinking? All men aren't dogs, some go for classy chicks. You should have been the 'cover girl', my dear, not that blow-up doll. As for the movie, mostly ridiculous, and it is one of my most expensive titles, but I proudly own it. Only because of you, my dear.- Actress

She was first featured in Jean-Luc Godard's Detective (1985) at the age of fourteen. She has starred in many American and European productions since then, including Disney's The Three Musketeers (1993), Killing Zoe (1993), Three Colors: White (1994), and the "Before" series, alongside Ethan Hawke: Before Sunrise (1995), Before Sunset (2004), and Before Midnight (2013).
She graduated from NYU's film school, and wrote and directed the short film Blah Blah Blah (1995), which screened at the Sundance Film Festival. She is a resident of Los Angeles.Sunrise, Sunset... Reminds me, I have yet to obtain the follow-up. As for the original, wow, can there be a better girlfriend than Julie in this movie? With each passing frame, I fell more and more in love with her. I think that's why I never got to the sequel, I'm kinda so much taken with the first installment, I don't wanna spoil the magic. She is of English, Welsh, Irish, and Scottish descent. Rachel became involved with acting as a teenager and by the age of 13 was performing in Shakespearean productions in summer theater camp; she went on to graduate with honors with a BFA degree in Theater from York University. After her debut in an episode of Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson (1998), she co-starred in the Canadian TV series Slings and Arrows (2003), a comedy-drama about the trials and travails of a Shakespearean theater group, and won a Gemini award for her performance in 2003.
Her breakout role as Regina George in the hit comedy Mean Girls (2004) instantly catapulted her onto the short list of Hollywood's hottest young actresses. She followed that film with a star turn opposite Ryan Gosling in the adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks bestseller The Notebook (2004), which was a surprise box office success and became the predominant romantic drama for a new, young generation of moviegoers. After filming, McAdams and Gosling became romantically involved and dated through mid-2007. McAdams next showcased her versatility onscreen with the manic comedy Wedding Crashers (2005), the thriller Red Eye (2005), and the holiday drama The Family Stone (2005).
McAdams then explored the independent film world with Married Life (2007), which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and also starred Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and Patricia Clarkson. Starring roles in the military drama The Lucky Ones (2008), the newspaper thriller State of Play (2009), and the romance The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) followed before she starred opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Guy Ritchie's international blockbuster Sherlock Holmes (2009). McAdams played the plucky producer of a failing morning TV show in Morning Glory (2010), the materialistic fiancée of Owen Wilson in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris (2011), and returned to romantic drama territory with the hit film The Vow (2012) opposite Channing Tatum. The actress also stars with Ben Affleck in Terrence Malick's To the Wonder (2012) and alongside Noomi Rapace in Brian De Palma's thriller Passion (2012).
In 2005, McAdams received ShoWest's "Supporting Actress of the Year" Award as well as the "Breakthrough Actress of the Year" at the Hollywood Film Awards. In 2009, she was awarded with ShoWest's "Female Star of the Year." As of 2011, she has been romantically linked with her Midnight in Paris (2011) co-star Michael Sheen. The wow of THE VOW.

Biel soon turned to modeling and commercial work by competing in The International Modeling and Talent Association's Annual Conference in 1994.
Her Film debut was in the Kid's Rock Opera It's a Digital World (1994) where she demonstrated her acting and singing abilities. Her television series acting debut, playing Mary Camden on the WB's #1-rated show, 7th Heaven (1996), helped her emerge as a breakout star. She terrified moviegoers with her portrayal of Erin, "Leatherface's" greatest nemesis to date, in New Line Cinema's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), a remake of the original. Having finished filming, Blade: Trinity (2004) in Vancouver with Wesley Snipes, Ryan Reynolds, and Kris Kristofferson, she the portrayed a jet-fighter pilot in Stealth (2005), starring Josh Lucas, Jamie Foxx, and Sam Shepherd, for director Rob Cohen. In 2012, she married actor and singer Justin Timberlake. The two have a son.Got her ass in Gear, and got fired from Religious Right flagship 7TH HEAVEN, which only made me cheer for her more. Yeah, I refused to watch that show, goes against my principles. Just sheepishly snuck peeks, I hate to admit that, but really only when she and her li'l kid sissy appeared, they were oh so cute. But me watch that schmaltzy sugary Christian show? Never! That said, she made me buy a freaking baseball fest called SUMMER CATCH and only a very lovely girl could take me out to the ball game, but shoot! she knocked that one out of the park. I felt really foolish watching the plethora of baseball bits, but Jessica! Ooh Jessica! She became sort of a symbol of my Winter 2014 as I watched her SUMMER CATCH scenes over and over. LONDON was one of my very first DVDs ever, THE RULES OF ATTRACTION is lined up for sometime soon, and recently, while researching came across POWDER BLUE, and had to have that, of course, for she is a stripper in it. Again, though, it is a far cry from being my kind of movie, there is too much darkness and what a sombre thing it is in so many places, and screw that fake crystal-blue snow (LA has designer snow, even?), but Jessica, on stage, au naturel (well, mostly) and all-natural (that's the best bit! she's for real, not created by surgeons)... Natalie Portman is the first person born in the 1980s to have won the Academy Award for Best Actress (for Black Swan (2010)).
Natalie was born Natalie Hershlag on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem, Israel. She is the only child of Avner Hershlag, an Israeli-born doctor, and Shelley Stevens, an American-born artist (from Cincinnati, Ohio), who also acts as Natalie's agent. Her parents are both of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. Natalie's family left Israel for Washington, D.C., when she was still very young. After a few more moves, her family finally settled in New York, where she still lives to this day. She graduated with honors, and her academic achievements allowed her to attend Harvard University. She was discovered by an agent in a pizza parlor at the age of 11. She was pushed towards a career in modeling but she decided that she would rather pursue a career in acting. She was featured in many live performances, but she made her powerful film debut in the movie Léon: The Professional (1994) (aka "Léon"). Following this role Natalie won roles in such films as Heat (1995), Beautiful Girls (1996), and Mars Attacks! (1996).
It was not until 1999 that Natalie received worldwide fame as Queen Amidala in the highly anticipated US$431 million-grossing prequel Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). She then she starred in two critically acclaimed comedy dramas, Anywhere But Here (1999) and Where the Heart Is (2000), followed by Closer (2004), for which she received an Oscar nomination. She reprised her role as Padme Amidala in the last two episodes of the Star Wars prequel trilogy: Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005). She received an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in Black Swan (2010).
She received a second nomination for Best Actress, for playing Jacqueline Kennedy in Jackie (2016).Made her big screen debut in LÉON THE PROFESSIONAL. The Raven sat up and noticed. Wow, just a kid, but what a glorious kid. Back in those days I also saw her in BEAUTIFUL GIRLS, but I have yet to obtain that one on DVD, and I''ve only heard about her STAR WARS series of movies. As for that debut movie of hers, it's a classic, even if it's an ugly DVD box with an ol' bearded guy on the cover. Others I've got is MARS ATTACKS! and NO STRINGS ATTACHED, which I have yet to see. BLACK SWAN is perhaps the only critically-acclaimed movie in my entire gigantic collection, as I am not exactly after the Meryl Streeps, unless that one did naughty stuff when she was real young, but thank you, Natalie, for bringing me some Award-winning class. But talking about 'naughty', CLOSER (2004) features her as a stripper, and what a glorious little thing she is, even if those are wigs all the way through. Has a thong in her heart here, very unusual for a major star to be that daring... Hell, must have taken a lot of confidence, hell, but if I looked like that I wouldn't mind having my body filmed, hell, I'd show off like a proud pony too...- Actress

She made her feature film debut with an uncredited role at age 6 in the 'Oedipus Wrecks' segment of Woody Allen's 1989 film New York Stories (1989). She received her first film credit in The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990). Her family moved to Los Angeles in 1993, where her film career took off.
In 1994, she made her breakthrough performance in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994), alongside such stars as Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Over the next few years, she made a string of hit movies including Little Women (1994), Jumanji (1995) and Small Soldiers (1998).

Her charity work includes designing a necklace to raise funds for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation as well as supporting various cancer charities.Debut, as child actress, in INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, which is in my collection, but no! not for her sake, jeez, just too creepy, her character... Current rave is THE HAIRY BIRD oops! offensive title deleted STRIKE! (Canadian title) but really, as per American audiences, ALL I WANNA DO, in which she is beautiful, coquettish Verena, instigator of the revolution against Miss Godards Preparatory School for Girls going coed (1998). This is an alert by The Raven! Movie is an unfairly neglected title and you should see it! 1999 saw her in both THE VIRGIN SUICIDES as a doomed Lisbon sister, and DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, the latter being sort of an eponymous title :) BRING IT ON started the cutest franchise in movie history back in 2000, and Kirsten followed that up with CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL the next year. Also GET OVER IT, which is on my Available list, scheduled for purchase eventually. Along came SPIDER-MAN in 2002, and Kristen has never looked back, upside-down rainy kisses and all. I however focus on her earlier stuff, not that I have seen anything beyond this point.- Eliana Jones is most known for Acapulco (2021), Night Hunter (2018), Shoresy (2022), Northern Rescue (2018). Eliana Jones began acting at the age of 11 and the first role she booked was playing young Alexandra Udinov in Nikita (2010-2012). She then went on to play Alexa Sworn in Hemlock Grove (2013), which was one of Netflix's first original series. As the young version of Lynsy Fonseca's Alexa Udinov on NIKITA, she is just absolutely the personification of what ultimate casting is about. They could not have gotten a better person to play the part. She's very young, but The Raven says “Watch her!”

Megan Denise Fox was born on May 16, 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and raised in Rockwood, Tennessee to Gloria Darlene Tonachio (née Cisson), a real estate manager and Franklin Thomas Fox, a parole officer. She began her drama and dance training at age 5 and at age 10, she moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida where she continued her training and finished school. Megan began acting and modeling at age 13 after winning several awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina. At age 17, she tested out of school using correspondence and eventually moved to Los Angeles, California. Megan made her film debut as Brianna Wallace in the Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen film, Holiday in the Sun (2001). Her best-known roles are as Sam Witwicky's love interest, Mikaela Banes in Transformers (2007) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), as April O'Neil in the remake Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and its sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016), and as Jennifer Check in the horror comedy Jennifer's Body (2009).Okay, so The Raven abhors tattoos. It freaks me out when a pretty young thing would commit the sacrilege of succumbing to the dumb notion that a dirty-looking greaseball man can actually improve on her looks by besmirching... Oops, I must get back to the subject, which is Megan Fox, but Megan Fox is unfortunately kind of, like, the poster child for tattoos. Of course, The Raven heard of TRANSFORMERS, that Megan Fox is the dreamgirl of the generation that grew up with that one, and I suppose I'll get to that Giant Meccano set movie one day (The Raven thinks it sounds and looks kind of, well, overgrown kid stuff and that there's going to be too much of that and too little of Megan) but meantime I finally at long last got round to 2009's JENNIFER'S BODY. While not particularly thrilled with horror movies, as I do not go for the notion that “beautiful girls show the blood off better” to borrow part of the Hitchcock phrase, I do have a few in my collection, and Ms. Fox elevated this one to an absolute absolute absolute must-have, I am thankful to add, after having researched the Golden Raspberry awards quite coincidentally the morning before my screening of the DVD later that day. I was kinda bummed that Megan got nominated for Worst Actress, but check out my review for this movie, I do believe I got my point across beautifully with my humorous rant. Truly, the kid played the part as the script called it to be done. The script is corny in places and much was deleted of some truly truly sh*tty scenes which can be perused on the uncut version of the DVD, but there were two or three scenes with Megan that should also have been omitted from the theatrical release BUT these scenes do not reflect badly on actress Megan but on the over-the-top script (which is, by the way, suoercool in places where it really counts)... To finally come to the point, Megan is yummy, ooh so yummy, she played a superrrrrrcool teenager who was 'high-school evil' to perfection, if there is a few dumb scenes don't blame Megan, and if a couple old bored men with nothing much better to do can razzle Megan because they didn't latch on that she was supposed to play the part as a cheerleader-turned-succubis, and the joke is therefore on them, then my point is that another old guy, who currently sports three IMDb merit badges (I Am Dee Eagle) can freaking well unRazzle Megan Fox! My cause is just! So how can I not prevail? Megan, take it from me, your performance was outasight!
Now, please, just stay outa the tattoo parlours. A beautiful body is a hell of a thing not to respect...

Katie Cassidy was born Katherine Evelyn Anita Cassidy on November 25, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. Her father, David Cassidy, was a pop star in the 1970s. Her famous relatives include uncles Shaun Cassidy, Patrick Cassidy and Ryan Cassidy, the sons by her grandfather Jack Cassidy's marriage to Shirley Jones; Katie's grandmother was Evelyn Ward. As a child, Katie took gymnastics, studied piano, guitar and singing, then took dancing and acting lessons and eventually became a cheerleader for the California Flyers. She attended Calabasas High School in her neighborhood. For years prior to graduation in 2005, Katie was modeling and studying acting in community theater. Katie had just been accepted to 'Tisch' at NYU when she was offered her first role as "Dee Dee", which was one month before graduating. Katie has not stopped working since. Katie's early exposure to show business, the cosmopolitan culture of Los Angeles, her family upbringing, and her comprehensive education altogether produced a remarkable result. She grew up as a multifaceted person showing her many talents in a variety of professions such as recording her father's 1970s hit "I Think I Love You" and singing in VH1's TV special Bubblegum Babylon (2002), writing her own songs, modeling for Abercrombie and Fitch and Guess?'s Rock and Republic clothing lines in 2004, and acting. She met her ex-boyfriend, Jesse McCartney, there and later appeared as his love interest in his video hit "She's No You". A story on Jesse and Katie appeared in the January 2006 issue of Teen People magazine. Jesse wrote the song "Bleeding Love" performed by Leona Lewis, about Cassidy and their relationship. At that time she was busy working on five feature film productions going on almost simultaneously. Katie made several appearances in TV series, such as 7th Heaven (1996) and Sex, Love & Secrets (2005), among others. She appeared as Samantha, the grown-up daughter of Adam Sandler and Kate Beckinsale in the comedy Click (2006). After the release of a teen horror film, When a Stranger Calls (2006),in which she co-starred as Tiffany, Cassidy went to Vancouver to work on her second horror film, Black Christmas (2006), in which she stars as a sorority girl. Katie recently beat out the likes of Jessica Simpson and Kristin Cavallari for the leading role opposite John Travolta as his daughter and the heir to the most powerful energy company in the world in Dallas, the big-screen remake of the cult TV series.Much taken with her (pun intended)(indeed, it was her appearance in TAKEN that brought her to my attention) She was the real star of MONTE CARLO and I'm currently watching her in the much-dissed series revival of MELROSE PLACE. Lined up is BLACK CHRISTMAS perhaps later this year. This entry to be updated.- Actress

Maggie stars as "Althea" on the popular AMC series "Fear the Walking Dead". She is most often recognized from the hit series "Lost" , "Californication" on Showtime, and the "Taken" and "Twilight" franchises. Maggie has also starred on Broadway in William Inge's Pulitzer Prize-winning "Picnic" directed by the Tony-nominated director Sam Gold . Maggie was named one of Variety's Top 10 Actors to Watch.Have to be careful here. This one has an on-screen father that will come down very hard on anyone who makes one false move towards her. So I am treading fearfully. Hell, don't wanna risk the ire of that old guy.
Maggie Grace, the reason I got involved with super-violent TAKEN, and currently being watched in the penultimate season of CALIFORNICATION, where she plays the part of nothing less than 'a muse to the stars'. How fitting then that she is now included on this list, because I am myself greatly influenced by Hollywood goddesses as muses, albeit in, I am oh so sorry to lamely admit, from thousands of miles away, how lucky for the little darlings.
In the third episode of the sixth season, “Dead Rock Stars” there is this wonderful poolside scene in which the young lady tantalizingly disrobes prior to diving into the water, and we get to see the Grace of Maggie most alluringly displayed. Very few of the entries on this list do nude scenes, so, this is just an extra-special event.- Actress

Ashlee Nicolle Simpson was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas, to Tina Simpson (née Drew) and Joe Simpson, who is a psychologist and Baptist youth minister. Ashlee started dancing at the age of 4 and by the time she was 11 enjoyed the status of being the youngest person ever admitted to the prestigious School of American Ballet. By 14, Ashlee was dancing professionally on the road with her older sister, pop singer Jessica Simpson. Ashlee spent 1999-2001 on tour supporting her sibling and garnering her own fan base.
She appeared on the big screen in the film The Hot Chick (2002) alongside Rob Schneider, and has made television appearances, including a guest-starring role on Malcolm in the Middle (2000). She has also appeared alongside her sister on Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993), The Rosie O'Donnell Show (1996), The View (1997), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1992) and a Disney Christmas show and concert special. She trained with renowned acting coach Janet Alhanti. Ashlee enjoys spending her free time vintage shopping, writing and recording music and hanging out with friends. Her work includes two well-received CDs, "Autobiography" and "I Am Me."Ooh, my detractors are going to love this entry! Everybody and their dog is taking a leak against poor little Ashlee, but I absolutely love her in MELROSE PLACE, the 2009 series revival. Back in those days, she had that long red hair, and her character, Violet, was the shy, socially inept one. I'm currently watching episode 3, and she's actually one of the chief suspects in the murder mystery. She caught a lot of flak for the part, undeservedly. She strikes me as the second-most watchable character, so the series shot itself in the foot by letting her go. Disliked on the set? What the hell? Something's very wrong there, play nice on the set, don't let the fans suffer if you can't set your creative differences aside!- Actress
