- StarsGong YooKim Go-eunLee Dong-wookIn his quest for a bride to break his immortal curse, Dokkaebi, a 939-year-old guardian of souls, meets a grim reaper and a sprightly student with a tragic past.I watched the 1st episode, but it did not hold my interest. I think they crammed too much information & melodrama into one single episode. Not buying the romance either. Beautiful cinematography, tho.
I might give it another shot sometime. - StarsYeon Woo-jinGong Seung-yeonBak YoonThe quiet life of an extreme introvert is thrown upside down when his company hires a cheery and outgoing new employee who's not all she seems.7/10 - The 1st k-drama I ever watched, and so on point! Must see for us introverts out in the world. I didn't like how they glossed over the main conflict, but everything else was wonderful.
- StarsLee JehoonShin Min-aJo Han-chulThe drama tells the story of Yoo So-joon, who can travel through time by a subway. After seeing his future-self living miserably, Joon decides to marry Ma Rin in order to avoid that fate. As time passes, he learns to love her selflessly.Pass. No feels. Couldn't even make it through the 1st episode. idk why but I just can't stand the main actress and the actor is so stiff. It just doesn't come across as natural.
- StarsLee Joon-giIUKang Ha-neulHa-jin travels 1000 years back in time and lands in the era of Goryeo Dynasty as a young girl named Hae-soo. She, now trapped in another person's body, becomes involved in a power struggle against various vicious contenders to the throne.9/10 Superb. I don't think I've ever experienced such a rollercoaster of emotions over a tv show. I loved the slow-burn romance and open-ended finale (even If it did brake my heart). It's all up to our imagination now. <3
- StarsPark Bo-youngPark Hyung-sikJi SooDo Bong-soon is a woman born with superhuman strength that comes from the long line of women possessing it. when Ahn Min Hyuk, the CEO of ainsoft, a gaming company witnesses her strength he hires her as his personal bodyguard.8/10 Hilarious. The concept of a tiny woman with super strength is daebak! Cuteness overload & lots of fun guaranteed.
- StarsJun Ji-hyunLee Min-hoLee Hee-joonA mermaid from the Joseon period ends up in present-day Seoul, where she crosses paths with a swindler who may have ties to someone from her past.6.5/10 A beautiful legend. Tbh I wasn't too sure about the mermaid thing or the pairing but I was sold after 3 eps. I loved seeing Lee Min-ho and Ji-hyun Jun together. She totally steals the show! It's def the most soapy k-drama of all I've seen so far but it has a great love story and some pretty funny scenes. The subplot is cheesy and clichéd, specially towards the final episodes, and sometimes I just wanted to skip over it, but I'm glad I stuck with it till the end. Like I said, it's all about the love story.
- StarsJi Chang-wookSong Yun-ahIm Yoon-ahA highly trained special ops agent goes off the grid after being framed for murder, and is hired as a bodyguard when the powerful and influential father of a troubled girl sees his skills.6/10 Average. I don't regret watching it, but I did struggle to get through the convoluted mess of a plot. 3 reasons why it didn't completely won me over: weak characters (Anna's supposed to be the lead, yet she was pretty insignificant. Her relationship with Je-Ha also comes off as more of a brother-sister bond; I also can't take a whole lot of "damsel in distress") boring politics (that kept the story from going to where it needed to go) overuse of background music (they srsly needed to tone it down a notch). Je-Ha & Yoo-Jin are the true stars of the show and the reason I stayed till the end. Their chemistry is undeniable. I do think that they took too much out of him on action scenes and not enough on storytelling. Ofc I liked seeing him kicking ass, but other than that, he basically just stayed put. Wasted potential, imo. Yoo-Jin is by far the most well-developed character and I don't even know why she's not the lead. That was some leadership performance, if you ask me.
- StarsJi Chang-wookPark Min-YoungTae-MiKim Moon-Ho is a popular reporter. One day, he learns the truth of a case that took place in the past. He intentionally approaches people who are related to the case and helps them. While doing so, he agonizes over the truth and beliefs.6/10 It was okay. It was probably a mistake watching this right after The K2, because I had a hard time connecting with Wookie as Seo Jung-Hoo & Chae Young-shin. Took me about 10 episodes to really get this thing going forward and it still wasn't up to my full attention (politics & media plots are not my thing). Loved the cute couple, ajumma and the healer squad. Ending was good, but it didn't tie all the loose ends. It didn't matter, anyway.
- StarsYoo Seung-hoKim So-hyunShin Hyun-sooSet in the 18th-century Joseon, it tells the story of Crown Prince Lee Sun and his fight against a powerful and wealthy organization Pyunsoo hwe, who controls the country behind the scenes. He becomes a hope for the people who suffer from lack of water due to the greed of Pyunsoo hwe, who tried to privatize the nation's water supply. With the help of the woman he loves, Ga-eun, Lee Sun overcomes adversity and grow as a just ruler.4/10 Weak. First things first, I don't really like the 30m episode format. It just takes away from the build-up of the whole episode; no chemistry between the main leads, no convincing love story, just your usual fake-out which is the poor writer's way out of it. I loved Kim So Hyun in the movie "Unforgettable" but I don't like her here as an actress. She doesn't fit the role. Besides, I can't stand damsel in distress. It's like she has always the same expression, no different tune to her voice, and overdramatic (not every scene demands tears); Lee Sun's acting is kinda strange too, I mean, you can tell he's trying a bit too hard so it doesn't come out as natural. I liked the story of the Crown Prince, the mix-up with Lee Sun, Hwa Gun, their bodyguards, and all the gimmicks of the Pyunsoo group, but beyond that it was just devoid of any true story/character development or creativity, rather clichéd, and a big drag.
- StarsKim Min-jaeLee Se-yeongCha Tae-hyunA free-spirited famous idol, a struggling singer, and their crew of "twenty-something-year-olds." When they meet, it will be an orchestra of disaster.6/10 Not the best hit, but not the worst either. Thought it was a pretty average sitcom, but def not a bad watch. Good characters, (tho I think the main lead overacted one too many times, so it was hard to make that transition from goofy to serious), messy timeline, and a lot of plot holes in the end but still a feel good show. Bang, bang, bang, bullets of love <3.
- StarsJi Chang-wookNam Ji-hyunChoi Tae-joonA young woman grows close to a prosecutor as she works with him as a trainee in a murder case. However, things take a turn when she inexplicably becomes a suspect.7/10 It's 20/20 for me. The first half was hard to get into, mainly bc the lead girl annoyed the hell out of me. 21 hit me, tho, and I could finally, honestly, say that I was into it. And yes, she quieted down a bit. I don't think the two leads have a lot of chemistry, but they did a good job. The real stand-outs for me were Noh Ji Wook, Ji Eun Hyuk and Jung Hyun Soo (I've never seen his acting before but he killed it here - no pun intended xD).
- CreatorYoung-Hyun KimSang-yeon ParkStarsJung In-sunKim Kang-wooHan Sang-jinA Sci-Fi-Mystery drama - episodes contain two shorter stories, the first half is set in 2017 called "Beta Project," and the second half in 2037 called "Grand New World.10/10 Sci-fi at its best. Amazing script & casting. Unique plot full of twists & turns. I've honestly never seen anything quite like this. A favorite, for sure.
- StarsBaek Jin-heeJung Kyung-hoChoi Tae-joonPeople from Legend Entertainment fly on a private plane to a concert. The 9 people consists of entertainers and staff members. The plane then becomes involved in a mysterious crash. The 9 people survive, but are stranded on a deserted island. 4 months later, Ra Bong-Hee returns to South Korea as the only survivor & witness from the plane crash.6.5/10 What. The. *beep*. Kind. Of. Ending. Was. That?. So that happened. I liked it better when they were on the island and it was all about survival. The second part was totally random. The story kept jumping around Tae Ho for far too long. As much as I liked his incredible acting, yeah I think they stretched the plot too far; I loved the cast, Joon ah & Bong-Hee are truly something, and the rest too. Well, Ji Ah was kind of... useless? I'd say she's the only one who didn't exactly add up to the cast. The prosecutor stuff was also... unnecessary? idk, I was just a lot more into the island dynamics. They could've made the second part about how they moved on with their lives after the ordeal. It would've been more interesting than wasting the last eps on a cat and mouse chase.
- StarsKong Hyo-jinSo Ji-seobSeo In-GukTae Gong Sil has the ability to see ghosts, but their constant demands for help make her life impossible until she meets Joo Jong Won, a handsome CEO who measures everything by money, since when she touches him, the ghosts disappear.6.5/10 Apparently, I'm cursed by second parts. Great first 12 episodes, then it went downhill. WAE GEURAE??? Tbh I was put off by the cheesiness of the 1st episode, but I was pulled back in the second the story settled down in the next. Very chill and enjoyable. I loved the storyline as well as the main couple. It's like a continuation of Spellbound, one of my favorite movies; BUT, as a result of high demand, they stretched the plot and messed it up with the usual clichés towards the end. e.g. evil twin sister, guy who comes out of nowhere just to break them apart, playing hard to get... 13-16 were unnecessary, but the finale was great!
- StarsLee Beom-suKim Jae-joongIm Si-wanThree orphaned brothers, separated in childhood, unbeknownst to each other, pursue entirely different paths in adulthood: detective, thief and adopted heir to a high-rolling developer.10/10 Is it possible to enjoy every single episode of a 26 ep k-drama? Ne, majayo. I loved this from start to finish. Story, characters, casting. Everything was engaging. But the ending got me like wae geurae??? Not fair. He deserved a happy ending too. Sad, but also satisfying? It does end with flair. Jackpot.
- StarsBae SuzyLee Jong-sukJung Hae-inThe drama is about a woman, Nam Hong Joo, who can see accidents that take place in the future through her dreams. And a prosecutor, Jung Jae Chan, who struggles to stop the woman's dreams from coming true.Confession time: I dropped it after the #1 episode. Not a fan of either lead actors.
- StarsSong Joong-kiSong Hye-kyoJin GooThis drama tells of the love story that develops between a surgeon and a special forces officer.3 eps. Dropped.
- StarsKim Jae-joongBae Jong-okYu Oh-seongPark Hye Rim seems like an average housewife, but in reality she's a former North Korean informant, she's suddenly assigned a mission to recruit her son, Kim Seon Woo, a genius NIS agent. Hye Rim does everything she can to protect him.7/10 Boa surpresa. Fim adequado.
- StarsKim You-JinJung Hye-seongKim Jae-joongBong Pil has been preparing for his civil servant examination for the past three years, but he is not enthusiastic about his studies. He wanders around neighborhoods. He then travel with his five friends between the past and present through a manhole in order to stop a wedding scheduled a week later.8/10 Quase parece que foi feito mesmo à minha medida.
- StarsJun Ji-hyunKim Soo-hyunPark Hae-jinDo Min-Joon, an alien that came to our planet 400 years ago, will be able to return to his planet in 3 months, but when he meets famous actress Chun Song-Yi, all the centuries he spent distancing himself from humans come to an end.10/10 AMEI. O tipo é a cara do papel. Omo. The Legend of the Blue Sea. É mesmo de outro mundo!
- StarsLee Jun-hoWon Jin-ahLee Ki-wooA major accident takes the lives of 48 people. The lives of the survivors, those who lost loved ones and those connected to the parties blamed for the tragic event are also marked forever.8/10 Real, ou não fosse a base da história "retirada" dos escombros do colapso de Sampoong.
- StarsHwang Seung-eonPark Se-wanYoo Seung-hoKim Min Gyu has wealth and success, but lives an isolated life due to his allergy of people. He then meets and falls in love with a girl who is pretending to be a robot for her ex-boyfriend, a genius robots professor.6/10 Mediana.
- StarsMin Nam-koongNam Sang-miLee Jun-hoChief Kim is an eccentric, flamboyant accountant genius working in the underground and trying to save up enough money to travel abroad until he accidentally gets employed by one of the most famous corporations in Korea.6/10 Gostei e não gostei.
- StarsKim Pu-reumYoon Doo-joonKim So-hyunAbout an actor who's showcase family is famous and a radio writer who fell in love with radio after her mother became blind when she was a teen. She gets the actor to become her DJ not knowing their shared history as teens. He had trouble sleeping but she's just the thing he needs. She had trouble writing but learns to find her voice.10/10 Oh pá, adorei! E giro. Tão giro. Já disse giro? É porque é mesmo giro.
- StarsPark Bo-youngJo Jung-SukLim Ju-hwanTimid Na Bong Sun gets possessed by the ghost of a confident young woman who seeks to solve her one unfinished business by hooking up with Bong Sun's boss, famous chef Kang Sun Woo.7/10 Eu só queria saber no que é que o escritor/a estava a pensar quando deixou o fantasma roubar o corpo da Na Bong Sun durante a maior parte do drama.
- StarsJeong Jae-yeongKim Jeong-eunYang Se-jongStory about Jang Deuk Cheon (Jung Jae-young), a hardened detective whose daughter is kidnapped. He starts to chase down the suspect using the one clue he has: Two men with the same face were at the crime scene.8.5/10 Viciante. Fez-me lembrar o "Circle" da tvn. Recomendadíssimo.
- StarsLee JoonOh Jung-seLee Se-yeongYoon San (Lee Joon) a private detective suddenly becomes a vampire. He tries to solve various cases while also trying to uncover the mystery surrounding himself.4/10 Isto de vampiros não tem nada. Fail.
- StarsWoo Do-HwanPark Soo-youngMoon Ga-youngLove is just a game for Chaebol heir who agrees to a petty bet with his friends to seduce a college student - until he starts to fall for her.5/10 O grande flop do ano. Sujeitei-me a isto por causa do Woo Do Hwan e Cruel Intentions. E o marketing ajudou. Nunca gostei do casal principal.
- StarsSeo Hyeon-jinYang Se-jongKim Jae-WookAbout the love between a writer who is elder than the person she loves, the chef.10/10 Este drama é do mais realístico que já vi até hoje. A vida real é isto. A actriz encantou-me. Obrigada.
- StarsBaek Ji-wonHong Soo-hyunChoi Won-youngAfter a plane crash took his family, an ex-cop forms an investigation team and meets a genius ex-con whose brother died, starting a rivalry and partnership.7.5/10 Woo Do Hwan, outra vez. Gostei. Aquele "Hyung".
- StarsSon Ye-jinJung Hae-inJoo Min-KyungWhen a single career woman reunites with her best friend's younger brother after he returns from three years of working abroad, their efforts to reconnect grow into romance.8/10 Esta doeu. E crescer. E lutar pelo que é justo. E aprender a deixar ir... Jung Hae In & Son Ye Jin são química. Pura nostalgia. Gostei bastante. Fez doer o coração. Mas valeu a pena. Obrigada ao director avôzinho adorável.
