- HÄSTDANS på HOVDALA is a film about a unique creation process. In July 2013, The Equus Projects spent three weeks in a Swedish forest creating an evening length theatre work that brought together four dancers, four horses and a cast of Swedish performers with autism. Filmmaker David Fishel follows the progression of the creation process, the equine training and the deepening connection that developed between the Swedish and American performers and the human and equine performers.
- This short was created as part of the Inside Lives show curated and produced by Adam H Weinert About Inside Lives by ADAM H WEINERT: Inside Lives exists as both art object and video installation. Using Augmented Reality technology, the blueprint of a brownstone on Manhattan's Upper West Side becomes an interactive display of original footage created by transitory inhabitants of this building in a city where artists are continuously priced out to the margins. Coinciding with the beginnings of Occupy Wall Street, we invited nine artists to respond, inhabit and document these transitional spaces and use them as a platform for artistic expression. 9 spaces, 9 artists, 3 minute works in 3 weeks time.
- Director David Fishel channels his surreal style to bring the song to life in this mesmerizing, unnerving music video/short film, complete with one of his signature surprise endings. Fishel's interpretation of "Birdman," a ranting, raving homeless oracle, is juxtaposed with the story told by The Brute Chorus about a shaman casting spells on his neighbor. Frontman James Steel opens his tale with "I'm gonna drink myself immortal and smoke myself blind," quoting a heretical hymn from centuries ago. It's an ancient start to a modern rendition of what happens when black magic just goes wrong.
