- Shot inside of one of Guatemala's most dangerous prisons, with it's inmate population as actors in the film. VIP is the story of Juan Ramos, Guatemala's sub accountant is arrested and placed in preventive prison while the charges against him of corruption and homicide clear. Although he pays handsomely to be put in the VIP sector of the prison, he is taken to the worst and most dangerous sector. His battle for survival begins, in a jail where the golden rule is only the strong survive. Through blood, sweat and tears, Juan begins to learn and navigate the murky politics in and out of the cells. Juan will learn that the members of the VIP sector that oppose him can be more powerful and deadly that any of the crooks and thieves he associated with on the outside.

- A young woman is brutally assaulted by gang members in the middle of Guatemala City. As usual, the authorities have no suspects or leads, leaving the girl to become one more victim in a society where thousands of women are assaulted every year. Jacobo, the victim's brother, along with Antonio, his best friend, decide in their frustration to extract some their kind of revenge. They kidnap a random gang member from the streets and drive him to an abandoned warehouse, where they torture and beat him. But the consequences of their acts will soon become evident and they will have to make a decision that will affect their lives forever.

With this in mind, the priest is invited to give a religious service in the state prison of Guatemala City, where he meets Beto, a young fisherman accused of killing a thirteen-year-old girl. The priest sees in Beto a chance to redeem himself and once Beto is released from prison, the priest decides to help him. The priest gives Beto job and shelter in the church, causing his family and congregation to turn against him. Convinced of Beto's innocence and affirmed only in his faith, the priest decides to help him at all costs. Until one day, an unexpected crime occurs in the surroundings of the church.
