- Graphic portrayal of society's struggle to balance tradition and modernity in modern-day Egypt. - Adel Gahrib is a widowed insurance sales man living alone with his young daughter Nuha, whom he dotes on. He falls in love with his new neighbor Safaa, and proposes to marry her.
