- Ella is delighted when Mr. Jackson asks her to look after his chickens while he visits his sister. But things go slightly awry when Ella and Henry try to play with them and they all escape from the coop. Ella thinks of a very musical way to get them back again to the safety of the coop and everyone, especially Mr. Jackson, is happy!
- Ella's Dad has a lot of housework to do but he is not feeling well at all. Ella sends him back to bed; She can do everything needing to be done as she has seen him do it many times before. Henry drops by and making lunch together turns into a very messy competition! Then Ella and Henry join the twins for a race in the garden . It is a disaster in the kitchen but Ella discovers a novel way of making things spick and span again.
- On Ella's birthday, her dad gives her a pair of binoculars and she can't wait to show them to Henry and the twins, but they act mysteriously and run away. "Meet us in the garden later!" they cry. What are they up to? Ella follows them with her binoculars to try and find out, but they spot her and rush away. If she wants to see what they are doing without being seen herself, she will have to be very good at hiding!
- A big storm has devastated Sunshine Gardens overnight. Mrs Berg is distraught at the sight of her flattened garden and Mr Jackson's shed roof is full of holes. Ella takes charge of the restoration work and hands out tasks to everyone in Sunshine Villas. Henry's job is to tend to Mrs Berg's garden. Gardening is not his forte to say the least and without Ella's promised supervision and help, things rapidly get worse!
- Who is the best bubble blower in Sunshine Gardens? Unfortunately for Joseph who is gathering acorns nearby, the game that Ella and Henry are playing turns to a near disaster when he becomes caught up in a large bubble and floats off so high in the sky, no one can catch him. Time runs out as all the bubbles start to burst! How will Ella get Joseph, safely back to the ground again?
- Ella is impressed by Henry's talent as a magician. "Let's put on a show!" Everyone will come to see the Rabbit out of the hat trick! The trouble is, Henry does not have a rabbit! Ella and Henry try to catch a rabbit but it escapes every time . Henry despairs ...But Ella finds a clever solution...
- Ella wants to play but, where is Henry? She eventually finds him in the woods playing with his new friend, a large black and white cat named Jack. Ella and Henry decide that Jack must be hungry so go off to Ella's apartment to get fish and milk. But, when they return, he has disappeared. Henry is very upset to have lost his new friend and they search everywhere in Sunshine Gardens for him but, to no avail. Later, they meet Mrs Berg who gives them a precious clue to where he may be found.
- Jupiter, Mars and The Milky Way are all in Henry's book of stars but, wouldn't it be great to see them for real in Sunshine Gardens? Ella and Henry soon realize that being a space explorer can be tricky especially if it's past their bed time and not really dark. Maybe something borrowed from Mr Jackson and a visit to his shed, will do the trick!
- Ella, Henry, Lisa and Lottie are ready to sail their pretty paper boats on the pond and race them to the other side.. Mr Jackson starts the race amidst great excitement but the race stops before it even begins: no wind, not the slightest breath of air... And nothing they can do will change things.... The arrival of Dad, rushing in with two deckchairs, gives Ella an idea...They will race after all.
- Poor Gloria! It is raining hard in Sunshine Gardens and the little bird is getting very wet! Ella, Lisa. Lottie and Henry entice Gloria into the dry with some seeds on the window sill. Once indoors Gloria panics and flies round and round frantically. To everyone's relief she finally finds her way out and returns to her nest under the pouring rain. An apartment is no place for a little bird so Ella comes up with a very constructive way, with the help of Mr Jackson, Henry and the twins, to keep Gloria dry.
- It's so hot! Mrs Berg tells the children that even Timbuktu was not as hot and sticky as this and they didn't even have a pool. Ella says that her paddling pool is exactly what they need. The trouble is that it's very small and endlessly needs refilling from Mr Jacksons hose when he should be tending to Mrs Berg's thirsty flowers. Ella can see that everyone in Sunshine gardens needs to keep cool and soon comes up with an idea that has them all splashing about.
- The zoo is closed for repairs and Henry is very disappointed that he'll be unable to go on a visit and will possibly never get to see his favourite animal, a crocodile. Ella decides that he will go to the zoo after all. But the things that Ella gathers to create a zoo for Henry are also wanted by everybody else in Sunshine Gardens so, when things start to disappear Ella has to think again
- Ella's dad is reading a funny letter from uncle peter and says that such a good letter deserves a reply. Ella tells her dad that Henry is unwell today and can't come out to play but that maybe if she sends him some letters with funny drawings, he'll reply to her. So Ella draws a series of funny letters and posts them under Henry's door. Why does he not reply?
- Mrs Berg shows Ella, Henry, Lisa and Lottie her photos of the Himalayas where she saw the most amazing butterflies. Henry is very impressed! Ella gets inspired: What about the butterflies, here, in Sunshine Gardens? The children all set off to have a competition and see who can take the best photograph of one. Mrs Berg will be the judge. The results are not quite what they expected but, together, they come up with a winning result.
- Ella, Henry and the twins hear all about pirates and buried treasure from Mrs Berg, so, after she promises to leave clues and bury precious coins for them to find, they all dress up and go on a treasure hunt in Sunshine Gardens. But, wherever they dig --- the treasure has disappeared! Who is the mysterious collector who is always, one step ahead?
- Henry is a great expert on dinosaurs and tells Ella that they lived thousands of years ago and of course, no longer exist. That is, until he suddenly thinks that he hears one in Sunshine Gardens!. Henry and Ella go off to investigate, with some noisy and sometimes scary results.
- Ella writes a new play which she wants to perform for the adults with all the children acting in It. They are all very excited by the idea but, the trouble is,---they all want to play the same parts. Well -- Maybe they can!
- Ella sees a photograph of her dad in a Go Kart that he built himself when he was a boy. Sadly, all that remains of it is a set of wheels. BINGO! Ella can use the wheels and make a go kart of her own and if Henry and the twins also make karts. They can have a race. But as Ella builds, so does her imagination and she builds the biggest Mega Go Kart, ever. The trouble is, she uses all the wood and wheels in sunshine Gardens. So with just one Mega Go Kart, how do four children have a race?
- After looking at a detective story, Ella goes searching for a mystery to solve herself. Being a detective is hard and frustrating work when mysteries turn out to be difficult to find. That is, until a Lily that Mrs Berg has entrusted to Ella to look after whilst she's away, mysteriously goes missing ----! Ella with the aid of Henry go off to investigate!
- Ella, Henry and the twins are having lots of fun on the seesaw, swings and slide in the playground of Sunshine Villas. Joseph the mouse, very enthusiastically tries to join in, but it's only the quick thinking of the children in catching him every time he flies through the air that saves him from being hurt. The trouble is that he is very small and light so, Ella and the others have to think SMALL for once and solve the problem.
- The children of Sunshine Villas are giving all their much loved old toys from when they were younger, to Mr Jackson who is finding new homes for them with needy children. But when it comes to it, Ella can't bear to be parted from her favourite bear, Tatty Ted. She finally, reluctantly, agrees that he can go but on the way to Mr Jacksons, she loses him. A big hunt of Sunshine Gardens ensues with all the children searching and Ella promising that when she finds him they'll never be parted again. But, will they?
- Mrs Berg is holding a cake making competition to which all the children and Mr Jackson bring their cakes for her to judge. Henry decides to use a radio controlled car to deliver his, but is less good at driving it than he thought. Cakes and cars don't mix but the end result pleases everyone.
- Ella and Henry are invited to a party in Sunshine Gardens by Lottie and Lisa and decide to go, after finishing Some painting. Ella tell Henry not to worry about getting into a mess because she has everything they need, to stay clean. But paint, especially Orange paint, has a life of its own and quickly takes over.
- Lottie and Lisa have a ride on a roller coaster and tell Ella and Henry what brilliant fun it is! They both get very excited and want to have a go. The rule is that you must be at least one meter tall to be able to ride, but, whatever they do to try to grow taller, it just doesn't work, - fast enough. Dad says that they'll have to wait until next year. Ella decides that if they can't go to the roller coaster, it will Just have to come to them.
- The children are doing gymnastics in Sunshine Gardens when Mrs Berg stops to watch. They remind her of when she was in the Far East and saw the greatest circus ever. The star of the show was Buttercup the elephant and oh how she'd love to see it all again. Ella says that they will make a circus for her, so with all the other children she goes off to practice and rehearse. But, "Oh what a pickle", they haven't got an elephant and she was Mrs Berg's favourite act. Later, Ella has a chance encounter so, maybe they have, after all!
- Jasper the puppy is a real handful . Ella and her friends agree to look after him for the day for Mr Jackson. The trouble is, they all want to play different games and they all want Jasper to play with them. Jasper becomes very confused. If only the children could decide on one game...
