- In the first of two interconnected feature films, a struggling theater actor answers an ad placed on the theater's message board by a mysterious young woman, which leads him to participate in a private play that will alter his perspective on acting, theater and his own life.

When a new actor comes to their town and gets a role in the play, the whole question of 'whose dream is this?' acquires a new meaning.
