- While alone in the house, a woman hears news of serial killer on the loose. And then a stranger rings the doorbell...
- Orphan Chander Prakash is employed as a menial laborer in a timber mart; he meets with wealthy Chandni only to fall in love with her and the marriage is arranged with the blessings of Chandni's parents. Unfortunately on the day of the marriage Chander meets with a vehicle accident and is believe to be dead but in reality he is rescued from drowning by a gypsy, Henna Khan who reside in Jhelum, Pakistan with her widowed father, Khan Baba; three brothers Ashraf, Razzak and Zaman along with Razzak's wife Najma. Chander is nurse by Henna and the village doctor, Bibi Gul until his health improve and he is able to use his legs to move around. Unfortunately Chander suffers from memory loss and is able to retain only the word, 'Chand' short for Chandni so much that Henna and her loved ones starts to call him Chand. Meanwhile Henna starts to fall in love with Chand and their marriage are arranged only to invite the wrath of police officer Shahbaaz Khan who himself has already marry twice and now wants to marry Henna as the Shariat law state that an individual can marry four times. Ironically on the day of Chand and Henna wedding he manages to regain his memory and confesses his Hindu identity to the community thus Khan Baba decides to make all arrangements to send him back to Hindustan. Before Chand can cross the Pakistan border he is apprehend by Shahbaaz Khan only to prove to be a traitor send down by the Indian Government to spy on the Pakistanis.

- Avtaar Krishen lives a poor lifestyle with his wife, Radha, and two sons, Ramesh and Chander. He works in a factory and toils hard so that his sons can get the necessary education, and live a better lifestyle. He gets injured and crippled while working, but is compensated adequately by his employer, Bawaji. Years later his sons have grown up. While Ramesh has married Sudha and works with a bank; Chander is wooing Renu, the only daughter of wealthy Seth Laxminarayan. When Avtaar and Radha wish to go on a tirathyatra (pilgrimage), they ask Ramesh to book tickets for them, but he tells them that he has no money. When Radha gets sick, their servant, Sewak, enters Sudha's room to get some money for her treatment, as a result Radha does get treatment, but Sudha blames them for stealing her money. Avtaar asks Ramesh and his wife to get out, only to find out that the house is now in Sudha's name. AVtaar, Radha and Sewak move out and live in a shanty hut. Their hopes are with Chander, who does well in his exams, decides to marry Renu, and moves out without financially assisting his parents. Now Avtaar and Radha are elderly and dependent on Sewak, and the question remains will they resign themselves to this existence, if not, what possibly can a crippled older male accomplish, especially at this time in his life?
- Poor Raja opens a fast food restaurant right opposite a five star hotel run by it's owner Singhania, earning his wrath. The wealthy hotel owner uses all his influence to remove Raja, but in vain. Things get worse for the wealthy man, when his daughter Kiran wants to marry the poor hotelier. The wealthy man refuses, leading to a confrontation and a condition - which Raja fulfills, he becomes rich virtually overnight, and proposes for the hand of Kiran. The wealthy hotelier reluctantly accepts him as his son-in-law, only to have Kiran elope with a man named Rahul.

- Collegian Ajay Sharma was born on 2 April 1968 and lives in Bombay with his widowed mom Asha. He is friendly with fellow-collegian Raj Sinha, from a wealthy family. Ajay often gets beaten up by goons and Raj gets beaten up by his girlfriend Madhu. After they graduate from college, Raj's maternal uncle asks Ajay to bring his birth certificate so he can make his passport and find work for him in a department store in Canada. Ajay goes home to look for his birth certificate, but is unable to locate it. His mother makes a show of helping him, but instead tears a document and throws it away. Ajay puts the document together and finds out that his real name is Ajay Malhotra and that his father, Dr. Ravi Malhotra, is still alive, serving a life sentence in prison for killing a patient and stealing the organs from the body. Ajay questions his mother and finds out that his dad was framed by the hospital owner, Rai Bahadur. He and Asha meet Ravi in prison and swear to avenge his humiliation. He and Raj then set out to collect evidence, unaware that Raj's dad, Dr. Sinha, was himself involved in Ravi's false conviction and will not hesitate in joining forces with Rai Bahadur to eliminate all possible evidence, and if necessary kill both Ajay and Asha.
- Din Dayal Sharma works as a Head Clerk and lives with his wife, Godavari; 3 sons Vijay, his wife Uma; Shiva and Vidyasagar; and a daughter named Rajni. Their standard of living is middle-class and all three males contribute to this lifestyle with Vijay contributing the most as he is a Chartered Accountant. Vasanti has left Shiva; Rajni has separated from Peter; Vidyasagar has failed in his exams; Vijay and Din Dayal are not speaking with each other and have drawn a line, separating Vijay and the rest of the family. Watch what Uma does to reconcile the family, who are totally unaware of her ulterior motive of re-uniting everyone.

During the course of his duties, he meets with a beautiful woman named Roopali, and it is then slowly it dawns on Bhola about the true nature of his duties - that a pimp. But will this realization be enough for Bhola to reverse the regression in order to redeem himself?

It is then that he discovers the actress in the film is none other than his wife Rekha Roy (Rekha). He finds out that she is now a very successful film actress changing her name to Sunita Devi and her manager is none other than Ranjeet Malik (Prem Chopra) who used to be his best friend. In flashbacks he remembers that his real name is Amit Roy and Ranjit was the one who attempted to kill him six years earlier by throwing him off the train he was traveling on with Rekha. Amit also discovers that his young son who is now 10 years old has been sent to a boarding school and sets out a plan to regain custody of his son. First however he plans on taking revenge against Ranjit. Amit comes up with a plan to re-enter Rekha and Ranjit's lives by disguising himself as a film producer. He meets with Rekha and Ranjit and offers Rekha the opportunity to act in his new film titled Do Anjaane. Rekha and Ranjit grow suspicious of Naresh Dutt as they start to realize that he bears a striking resemblance to Rekha's supposedly deceased husband Amit Roy and the storyline of his film eerily mirrors Rekha's past life. Will she discover the true identity of Naresh Dutt? and what revenge has Amit/Naresh got planned for Ranjit?
- Arjun Yadav return from the city after completing his studies to get settled in his village with his family consisting of his mother Devi Chaudaran, his older brother Amrit and sister. Arjun finds out that Amrit and Thakur Bhanwar Singh does not get along quiet well and attempts to be a peace-maker between the two. One day situation takes a turn for the worse when Amrit is killed, Devi Chaudaran loses her senses, Arjun's sister is raped and he himself is beaten and tied to a tree. Arjun is then rescued by some sympathetic villagers and run off with his childhood friend Makan Malla in the deep ravines only to turn an outlaw whose only motive is to avenge the killings of his family members.

Gopichand eventually changes his lifestyle, decides to be honest, patches up with his family, but ends up antagonizing his crime boss, Monto Sardar, who chops off his right hand. Maanav gets him a job with Hercules Milk Foods. Maanav meets with and falls in love with Kaajal Gupta, who is the daughter of the owner of Hercules Milk Foods, much to the chagrin of her dad who wants her to get married to Shyamal. Then one day Maanav disappears from Gopichand and Kaajal's lives. He re-locates to Simla and it is here that he learns that things have spiraled out of control as Gopichand has been arrested for marketing contaminated milk powder resulting in the deaths of hundreds of children. Maanav decides to return to Bombay and attempts to try and make sense why Gopichand committed this crime.
