When such a plethora of characters get included in a series, it’s only natural that some of them would be forgotten after a while. However, one particularly intriguing character has resurfaced in the mind of Toyotarou.

A character’s design becomes their defining quality in most cases of anime, Goku being one of the biggest examples. Akira Toriyama took his time in building each and every character of Dragon Ball. Whether they were a minor character or a major one, it was in his heart and soul to bring forth his best ideas on paper.

Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, almost ended his manga Dr. Slump early due to the overwhelming popularity of Hisashi Eguchi’s Stop!! Hibari-kun! manga, according to a recent interview with former Weekly Shonen Jump editor Kazuhiko Torishima.
According to Torishima, while Stop!! Hibari-kun! manga had achieved overwhelming popularity, becoming the magazine’s leading manga, Dr. Slump was witnessing a gradual decline in its fanbase.
This decline prompted Toriyama to express a desire to end the series early, a request he made repeatedly to the editorial team.
Torishima went on to explained that the editorial team was open to the idea of letting Toriyama concluding Dr. Slump early due to the strong performance of Stop!! Hibari-kun, since it was already leading the magazine forward.
However, unforeseen challenges arose when Eguchi began submitting late manuscripts, causing the manga to go on hiatus. This development forced the editorial team to reassess their strategy,...

Throughout the course of Dragon Ball characters have seen various changes whether it comes to their designs, personality growth, or even through their powers. Akira Toriyama’s creation has seen some big transformations, some to do with his development as an artist and others with regard to his own likes and dislikes. However, there are often times when mangakas make creative decisions based on their own convenience.

Gojo’s bandages were turned into a black blindfold because Gege Akutami found it easier to draw. One of the most prominent changes in Goku’s design had a lot to do with his initial design being that of a monkey. Goku had a tail, one that many fans would remember. However, that tail was eventually something Toriyama got rid of.

Inspiration does not ask before striking, it just does. Anything and everything can become an inspiration if an artist has the perception for it. One Piece is one such work. Inspiration asks not what it can give you but what you can make of it. In a similar way, Eiichiro Oda has set a path for many to follow. He took the road not taken and made the grass greener as he walked.

There were many to follow in his path. Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball inspired many, enabling a chain effect of the creation of One Piece, and then those who took inspiration from it. MonsterVerse is currently one of the most significant franchises in pop culture. It kickstarted with 2014’s Godzilla and went on to produce 4 films and 2 TV series. However, there is one film in the franchise that was initially conceived as a different venture, Kong: Skull Island.
The 2017 film was initially planned as a sequel to 2005’s King Kong. After the critical and commercial success of Peter Jackson’s King Kong remake, he thought of making a sequel. Co-incidentally, the director of the last two MonsterVerse films, Adam Wingard, was slated to direct it.

The Beast form is the latest transformation in Gohan’s arsenal. It is a form unique to Gohan and Akira Toriyama even called it Final Gohan in the drafts. It is one of the few forms which have not been attained by his father, Goku, in Dragon Ball.
But Dragon Ball fans will admit that the form seems similar to other transformations. You could say that it feels like an amalgamation of a few previously seen forms.
Gohan Beast and its Origin in Dragon Ball Beast Gohan | Toei
Gohan Beast came into being when Gohan witnessed Piccolo’s apparent death and transformed due to pure rage. In this form, he not only retaliated against Cell but also annihilated the Explosive Scream power along with his core.
At first, Gohan could not reign in this power, but as he kept training, he eventually learned to access the form without going berserk.

Fighting games like those in the Dragon Ball universe cannot be compared to the brutality fans see in Mortal Kombat games. Bandai Namco will continue this tradition with the next game in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, Sparking Zero. Scratches are common in there—maybe a little drop of blood, but no brutality that paints the floor red.
The new Esrb-issued rating might confirm this as the self-regulatory organization puts the teen label on the upcoming game. However, that doesn’t mean fans would stop expecting the intense fights like in the original anime. But they sure must not expect any holes in the chests of the fighters stepping into the arena.
That Shouldn’t Concern Dragon Ball Fans as Combat is What Counts

Later this year, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will arrive on modern-gen consoles and PCs as a spiritual successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi games. With over 45 characters as part of the starting roster (more to be added eventually), Sparking Zero promises a lot for fans of the franchise.
Despite the new (and familiar) characters present in the game, fans are a little skeptical about one particular character whose portrayal doesn’t seem to match expectations. This is none other than Kefla, a Super Saiyan who’s the fusion of Kale and Caulifla.
Fans Claim That Kefla’s Portrayal in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero Doesn’t Seem up to the Mark Kefla’s portrayal in the game isn’t being appreciated by gamers.

The next Budokai Tenkaichi game is coming after 17 years, with a leap from PS2 to PS5. Dragon Ball developed drastically through anime, bringing in new characters, as well as transformations straight out of the manga. Video games, including Xenoverse 2, FIghterZ, Kakarot, and more, captured them too.
Budokai Tenkaichi didn’t get such a chance but it seems like the game will be capturing everything in between that it missed during those years. That said, Goku’s Ultra Instinct form is something it cannot afford to lose. But it’s not just that, players may see the ascended version of the transformation in the game too.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Could Get Intense With This Ultra Instinct allows Goku to fight unconsciously.
No matter how little the changes, they may carry significant information only a few can see. The same is the case with the latest change in the game players noticed recently.

The Universal Survival Saga of Dragon Ball Super brought back the classic Tournament of Power. Except, this time, the participants were more universal than before (in the literal sense of the word).

The 2000s were a truly magical time to grow up. Some of the most successful and captivating cartoons and anime aired during the time. Rushing back home just to catch an episode of Ben 10 or Naruto was probably the golden time of life you will never get back.

Monkey D. Luffy, Trafalgar D. Water Law, Marshall D. Teach, and Gol D. Roger. The mysterious initial signifies a Will that is associated with these characters, and its definition has multiple renditions.

While some believe that the Will of D links the characters to the devil, others believe that it is a family name that has been passed down for generations. But no one knows the actual story behind it, except for Eiichiro Oda, the manga creator. Multiple theories have been devised to find out what the Will of D could be, but none of them can be termed accurate.
However, there is one theory that might shed some light on the mystery and offer a new perspective on the Will of D.

A healthy rivalry between manga creators is not a new thing. Especially when you are the creators of two of the Big Three. There was a time, not so long ago, when Tite Kubo and Eiichiro Oda, the biggest mangakas in the industry, were competing for the top spot. Their rivalry led to the succession of their works, Bleach and One Piece, which became industry giants.

However, this healthy rivalry may not have been good for Kubo, as the manga creator once confessed that he developed feelings of jealousy towards Oda because his One Piece manga always stood one step ahead of Bleach. He even went on to say that he hated the mangaka because of this.

Dragon Ball is a world full of many smaller worlds and just as many transformations with it. For almost every major fight that takes place, there is a unique and unseen upgrade waiting either for the villains or the heroes. From a balanced fight to an imbalanced one, that is the position these transformations hold in the vast universe of Akira Toriyama’s genius.

With the many transformations that exist, there are also those created specifically to be upgraded for previous versions. Through this, each character grows stronger and learns to balance responsibility and power at the same time. One such transformation may be so beyond powerful that it could equal even some of Goku and Vegeta’s strongest Super Saiyan levels. Interestingly enough, it is also yet to make an anime debut.

After nearly 17 years since the last game in the Budokai Tenkaichi series arrived, fans are having some massive expectations from Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The long gap is obvious enough to make them speculate on many big changes, from graphics to combat, in the game. The latest debate regarding it will allow players to experience a battle royale-like experience.
Every question will be answered this year, as it may follow the same traditional release schedule as other games in the series. That means we could be just 5 months away from the release date, but of course, if there’s no delay for further development.
Nothing has been confirmed officially apart from a few characters and in-game mechanics that were revealed during the official trailers, available on video sharing platform YouTube.

Nothing has been confirmed officially apart from a few characters and in-game mechanics that were revealed during the official trailers, available on video sharing platform YouTube.

Dragon Ball has received 20+ theatrical films, some more popular than others. Akira Toriyama is sometimes deeply involved with the production of the films. He even writes the plots for some of the theatrical releases.
One such movie Toriyama has worked on extensively is Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Other than this, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ and Dragon Ball Super: Brolly also received heavy involvement from the author.
In a 2013 interview, Akira Toriyama talked at length about the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods movie.

Dragon Ball fans are well aware that the Super Saiyan transformations are the biggest upgrade that any Saiyan can go through. Once they have achieved the first Super Saiyan form, they can readily train and work hard to unlock new levels of this power, sometimes even taking them to the Super Saiyan God level.

However, not all Super Saiyan transformations necessarily work in the favor of the characters. Sometimes, these transformations may feel rushed, but rather than helping the Saiyans with new abilities and strength, the form drains the energy from the body much faster, thus giving them only a short period of time to use this form.
Dragon Ball fans have discussed the transformations multiple times, and they have finally found the one Super Saiyan form that they hate the most because of the liabilities that this form brings to the Saiyans.

Dragon Ball Gt is often not as popular as Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Despite it introducing a whole different ballgame of multiple timelines, fans consider it a somewhat less sophisticated version of the franchise.
Because the story was not created by Akira Toriyama, its authenticity is often under scrutiny. One of the most famous scenes in the anime is the Super Saiyan 4 power-up attained by Goku.
Why are Dragon Ball Gt and Super Saiyan 4 Not Canon?

Dragon Ball Gt is not considered canon because it is the brainchild of Toei Animation, not Akira Toriyama. While the author has respected the series, provided some sketches, and praised it a few times, it is not enough to call Gt canon.
