Secret Invasion (2023)
A missed opportunity...
If you read the Brian Michael Bendis, "Secret Invasion", prepared to be disappointed with the MCU, "Secret Invasion". Ugh, just awful! I wanted to LOVE THIS!
MCU rushed this series. Personally, felt it should of been a movie, even an entire phase.
I want the MCU to succeed, but it's been a series of one disappointment after another, since Endgame, which is sad.
It feels that MCU turned this into a cash cow, where their focus is more about the quantity as well hiring writers, directors, actors of diversity.
Focus on quality, hire those who KNOWS the materials.
Most of all:
LISTEN TO THE FANS.
La mujer en el espejo (2004)
Such an underrated show!
This had an excellent plot!
The acting, wow...Paola Rey should had won an award!
The chemistry!
Yet why only 7 months!?!?
This series should had continued and as a viewer you wanted it to continued! I keep looking/hoping there's a continuing of this series 20 years later...
Where the two main characters daughter is in this field, trying to make a name for herself and that Barbara has been summoned back from the dead possessing a helpless victim to get her revenge on ALL those whom she hates....
Thank goodness for closed caption, where I can now have this series translated into English for me.
Vanilla Sky (2001)
Open Your Eyes
You know who hated this? Audience members who are TOO STUPID. Instead they want the, "Guy meets girl, guy wants girls, guy gets girl but it's somehow misleading the girl, guy is about to fess, but girl finds out, guy loses girl, guy wins girl in the end."
The SAME IDITLOGAL movie that's been done, OVER AND OVER...
Vanilla Sky was a MASTER PIECE! From the plot, acting, music, to keep the epic ending...
A psychological thriller that WILL KEEP you wondering, all while feeling what the main character is feeling, thru his eyes...(Clapping)
It's 2023 and THIS IS STILL TOM CRUISE BEST MOVIE, PERIOD...
Saved by the Bell (2020)
Time-Out
HUGE fan of the original and even LOVED the College years. This...ruins both those shoes for me.
New generation. Horrible. Bayside high kids are stale. You don't like ANY of them. Then the Douglas kids with the exception of Dexter character (don't remember his name) I felt were condensing (especially Daisy Character).
It was sad to see the original and how they didn't evolve. Zack in the 1st episode felt was funny and on target! Then I felt it was Mark-Paul who was trying to fit into a pair of jeans from high-school. It no longer fits and it was sad to see this...
The character evolved to, I got a smoking hot wife whom I LOVE to bang any chance I get! Which, actually wasn't bad, cause I think that is one of the secrets to a successfull marriage, still desiring your spouse after all these years and I enjoyed their scenes together. Best part of the series, but just didn't like how they evolved too.
Kelly was the over the top sweet, sensitive, girl next door in the series whom EVERY teenage boy loved! She evoles to (hate to say it) a trophy wife/bimbo, which was REALLY disappointing....
She should of evolved to a Helicopter Mom and kept Zack in line, while keeping the "Zack is my Prince Charming".
AC, was more humble than he was, which was good take. Still not a fan of Mario Lopez, cause you just KNOW he is just full of himself...
Jesse, I originally liked the least in the 90's, but ended up enjoying the most! In my humble opinion, felt...the character felt that her ambition in her youth came with a price (losing AC). That she grows-up to take a backseat to her husband ambition and fully supports him, inspire at her and her son expense.
Then when AC apologizes to not supporting her in the past its like the Phoenix, the old Jesse I felt at that moment...
Accepted and embraced on who she was without feeling ashamed. At that moments is PROUD of who she was and wants to get back to that! LOVED IT!!!
The Principal was the saving grave in the series.
Would I watch a season 2? YES
Take cue from Cobra Kai. What worked is that viewers tuned in at 1st for the original, but ended up LOVING the new generation characters! Not the case with this reboot unfortunately...
Fix the opening theme (there's BAD then there was this).
Fix the generation of new characters to be well...likable.
Give us more original casts including Mr. Beldin and Screech.
Fix Kelly character and Zack, but keep their lust for one another, without making them shallow and airhead.
No offense, but hire new crew of writers, some of the original Saved by the Bell ones and or the crew from Cobra Kai....
Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020)
How Superhero Movies should be made!
This was like the Empire Stikes Back of Superhero movies!
So MANY moving parts that kept you interested the entire time!
Storyline at its BEST, excellent character development, great use of the characters, you truly do see that Darkseid is a TOTAL BEAST!
DC animated are the CREAM of the crop when movies, just too bad their live action bad...
The Karate Kid Part III (1989)
Better than what others are saying...
This was a great movie! The 2nd Karate Kid was HORRIBLE, snoozefest.
Come on Cobri Kai John Kreese wanting revenge.
Return to the All Valley Tournament to defend title.
It's a LOT better than what people are saying...
(In my humble opinion).
Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017)
Wow....
The DC live action universe has been disappointing, but that's NOT the case with the DC Animations! Wow....
LOVE this Universe and the stories to say are "Amazing" doesn't give it justice...
Zack Snider & WB: Hire the writers for the DC Animations for the live action movies & you're guarantee a cash flow! ANOTHER SURPERB job makers of the DC Animations! When's the next one!?!?!?
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
Thanks, I save my money
With all the bad buzz & number of negative comments, I just want to say thanks for the forwarning! As much as I support comic book movies, so that they will continue making them, I DO NOT SUPPORT A MOVIE WITH A COMIC BOOK CHARACTER THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE COMIC BOOK UNIVERSE JUST TO MAKE MONEY.
Guess what, guess again!
That's the problem with greedy studioes, they don't care as long as they make money. Not caring for a good script, a little research, & attempting to target all audiences.
The Dark Knight Returns respected comic book readers & went on to be the 2nd highest grossing film of all time.
WALL·E (2008)
Zzzz....Wall-E
Okay, to no surprise, I see that this movie has somehow reached the #9 all time greatest films.
Let me tell you, that the 5000 people who ranked this 10 out of 10 are Environmentalists.
I took my 4 year old daughter (who LOVES movies) & she fell asleep halfway through the movie.
Don't get me wrong, the movie at best was okay, but to rank this a 10, is out of the question.
I can't express this enough, target audience who will love this movie are Environmentalists. Not there's nothing wrong with that.
However, other kids much like my daughter, either fell asleep or were bored.
The movie is slow & I don't believe I heard any laughs from the audiences.
Save your $10 per ticket & skip this Pixar one. Pixar movies are great family movies, but WALL-E wasn't.
Sorry
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
What is WRONG with you people!?!?
Spider-Man 3 is WITHOUT a doubt the best of the three!!! Spider-Man, was at best, okay.
Spider-Man 2 was better, but dragged at times.
Spider-Man 3 kept your interest for the ENTIRE MOVIE!!! I mean come on, I'm reading, "too many villains". Normally this can be a flaw, just check out Batman & Robin, but in this case, you don't have to wait until the middle of the movie to see Spider-Man in a fight sequence, nor wait for the exciting conclusion.
In Spider-Man 3, it was filled with action! Watching Peter Parker transformation was entertaining & the story out of all three was the BEST.
Honestly, I feel some viewers expectations are too high to ever be reached.
Daredevil (2003)
True Believer
This is without a doubt one of Marvel's best movie to date. Seriously, I don't know what people's problem is? The movie (to date, other than "Sin City") is pretty faithful to the Comics. Where as Spider-Man, all of the sudden, the sense of humor is gone and he develops webs shooting from his wrists, oppose to Peter Parker inventing Webshooters. Or how the X-Men uniforms are much different than the ones in the comics, but to complain on that one would just be silly.
I'm not try to bash Spider-Man nor X-Men, but I would say the Prime audience are those who collect or collected comics books, or were a fan of the animated shows.
Collin Farrel I feel is the all time greatest portrayal of a Villain (Bullseye). Even of Jack Nicholson's Joker.
The only crime is that it looks like there'll be no sequel.
If there's any sequel I'd most like to see done, it's Daredevil.
The Passion of the Christ (2004)
The Gospal According to Mel
Polically correct, ugh. Before I even saw this film, I kept hearing how this is a "Anti-Jew" film and how Hollywood wouldn't even touch this. How sad that we live in a world and try to rewrite history to fit our own needs. After viewing this film, I just shock my head in disbelief. No offense to those who were "protesting", due to the fact their saying it's "Anti-Jew", but sorry that's history.
Where were all the White Americans (FYI - I'm a White Male) protesting when 'Dancing With Wolves' came out? Part of 'Dancing With Wolves' was how White Americans invaded on the American Indians soil, which too can be view as "Anti-American/White".
Know why there was no protest from White Americans from America protesting? Reason being is because that's what really happened and if we learned anything from History, it's that we learn from our mistakes.
Same goes for 'Schlinger's List'. It promotes "Anti-Germans" since they were killing Jews, but again there was no protest. I am pretty sure Jews would be quite offended if there were those protesting a great movie 'Schlinger's List' (yes I know misspelled), because they would want their history told. Being a fellow Christian, the same rules applies.
Hannibal (2001)
Eating Crap
That's exactly what the infamous Hannibal ate in the sequel to the classic Silence of the lambs.
Jodi Foster was very wise to not reprise her role.
Ugh.......this has to be one of the most disappointing sequels ever!
Clearly the author wrote this novel for the pure fact to make money.
What I like to say to the writer and those in Hollywood responsible for making such a horrible movie is, "I want my money back".
Again, keep in mind, I love "Red Dragon" & "The Silence of the Lambs".
This however should be called, "Hannacrap", because that's exactly what I saw.
I guess there's two plus hours of my life that I'll never get back.
