Hunters (2020)
The movie industry has no new ideas, only appeasing the woke and SJW crowd.
Have been waiting months for the release since I'm a Pachino fan. Disappointing. The story doesn't flow. Little character development. Don't know if the story was supposed to be real or fantasy. Too much comics and superhero influences. All the current divisive BS is written in to the movie. Every minority is present. Usual cast of bad guys. A shout out to the LGBQXYZ crowd. A decent way to kill several hours but definitely nobody affiliated with this release will be nominated or receive one of the many Hollywood "I love me" awards.
IMDb at San Diego Comic-Con: "The Boys" Will Shock You As It Exposes Superhero Conspiracies (2019)
A great storyline and a great watch.
A unique and many twists and turns storyline. Good writing. Fascinating plot. Nice acting. Well worth the time to view.
Too Old to Die Young (2019)
What a waste of time and money. My time and Amazon's monew.
Netflix has been producing garbage for some time whether for the sake of just producing something to air or being so flush with capital that almost any producer or director is getting the green light to make something. Amazon is now producing the same unintelligible garbage. Guava Island was better than this fiasco of a movie. Unless you are a pretentious gasbag who thinks the music, slow dialogue and dramatic scenery is beyond our time, don't waste your time watching.
The Widow (2019)
Great plot, decent writing, could have been directed a little better.
Love binging with any new Netflix or Prime streaming series. The Widow doesn't disappoint. Takes a few episodes until the plot comes to focus. But don't fret, each episode opens a different plot and storyline. Loved Kate back in her heyday when she was fighting mystical monsters. Her character is this series is over developed. From a grieving housewife in the UK one week to the next in Africa seamlessly chasing warlords and international rare metals smugglers.
Papillon (2017)
Unfair to compare the 2018 against the McQueen/Hoffman original
I was expecting something similar to the original in storyline and character development. It's just not there. Hollywood has ruined a fair share of classic movie remakes. This is one should have been left alone.
You (2018)
Surprisingly addictive
Tuned in to Netflix today and saw You as "recently added." I said, "what the hell." Awesomely good. Didn't know of the book but the Netflix series is amazing. Especially the writing and directing. Great combination of plot, plot twists, perfect actor selection and last but not least, the continual digs on the Millennial generation and their addiction to social media. The best series of the year...being January 2nd.
John Leguizamo's Road to Broadway (2018)
John is just cementing his SJW credentials for his Hollywood friends
Used to be a hugh Leguizamo fan prior to him becoming a lib political activist. After his continued bashing of European history and his own fictional version of history, still continue to dislike him. As much as he proclaims the population of Central and South American countries as well as the Caribbean countries were just if not more advanced than the Europeans of the 14th and 15th Centuries, he is mightily wrong. Unfortunately, human beings, regardless of origin, are violent and aggressive animals (mammals). Don't recall the historian who said "those who win the battle, write the history." Many, many battles since the beginning of time depict one region attacking and defeating another region in the historical growth of the modern world. As much as Leguizamo attacks American history and doesn't hide his contempt for "whiteness," he sure takes advantage of his wealth, made in the US, by placing his kids in private schools, living in white communities and like all hypocritical Leftists, does little to support his "people."
