Drake & Josh (2004–2007)

A Very Good Show Indeed
14 August 2008
Drake and Josh is an American sitcom focusing on two teenagers, Drake Parker and Josh Nichols who soon become step brothers once Drake's Mum and Josh's Dad announce that they're getting married. The two step brothers have their differences and often fall out with each other in various situations but they still care for each other and manage to resolve their problems.

Drake and Josh is very good show which is not only funny but sweet and intelligent at the same time dealing with the relationship of brothers and how they behave. In my opinion, this is the only good children's show that's on television these days. Most of the programmes on television these days are mediocre.

Drake and Josh is fresh, new and a show filled with excitement and charm. It's something special for both kids and adults alike.

The Best Superhero Movie So Far
6 August 2008
I've really enjoyed Christopher Nolan's reinvention of Batman. I recently saw Batman Begins and I thought it was the best Batman movie of the series. The origin story was handled very well for such a loved comic book superhero. And now, Batman is back!

The Dark Knight centres around Bruce Wayne/Batman (Christian Bale), Lieutenant Gordon (Gary Oldman)and new District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) trying to track down the crazed and murderous psychopath, The Joker (Heath Ledger) and stop him from causing chaos and havoc in Gotham City.

The Dark Knight is not only one of the best movies of 2008 so far, it very well might be the best superhero movie yet. The performances in the film are terrific and serve the story well. The best actor has to be Heath Ledger as The Joker.

In my opinion, he's the best actor to have portrayed and capture the philosophy of the character. He's really put his stamp on it and made it his own. It's horrible that he didn't live to see what a fantastic job he's done. He deserves an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor.

After seeing The Dark Knight, I can't wait for the next Batman movie, that's how great this film is!

Please Spare Me
5 January 2008
When I was a child, I absolutely adored Disney's The Fox and the Hound.

It was quite a dark drama focusing on the struggle of preserving a friendship when really the two different animals are suppose to be enemies in nature. I still found it to be a very good animated feature with some memorable characters and nice pieces of music to listen to.

But seriously, was there any need for a sequel when the first movie was released 27 years ago?

The Fox and the Hound 2 isn't as good as the original. I thought the storyline was weak and predictable

The animation in this film was very impressive but better technology doesn't mean better storytelling.

I just didn't think there was any need for a sequel because there was nothing more to add to the story. Although, showing Tod's cubs might have been good.

Overall, this film is nothing special and it's completely inferior to the original.

Disney really needs to stop making sequels because if you don't have a good story that is of equal quality to the first movie, what's the point in making a second one?

The Lion King (1994)

Excellent
14 October 2007
During the early 1990's, Disney were at their best with films like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast and Aladdin and it didn't stop there.

The Lion King is a wonderful film focusing on Simba, a young lion prince who longs to become King of Africa but he is very mischievous and often disappoints his father.

Unknown to him and his family, his uncle Scar is annoyed by the fact that his position as King is now taken over by his nephew and schemes a plan which will result in a great tragedy for Simba.

His father is killed in a stampede and Simba lives the rest of his life with huge guilt but he must rise to his responsibilities if he is to save his kingdom from the tyranny of Scar and reclaim his position as King.

This film focuses on the morality of life and serious issues such as loss, responsibility, maturing, growing up and finding your place in the circle of life.

This is film is a childhood favourite of mine. It's way better than all these ridiculous CGI films that are out today which aren't being made by Pixar.

It never fails to engage the whole family and take them on an unforgettable journey.

Titan A.E. (2000)
9/10
A fantastic film but highly underrated
4 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Titan A.E. takes place in the far future and tells the story about Planet Earth being destroyed by a depraved alien species called The Drej who live in fear of the human race.

15 years later, a young man named Cale is called upon by a faithful friend of his father named Korso. Cale's father was a scientist who invented an amazing Earth spaceship called 'The Titan' which has the power to create another planet. Korso warns Cale that the human race is nearing extinction and they must find the Titan before The Drej do for it's humanity's last hope for survival.

Titan A.E. is a great film. I was very impressed by how different it was from other animated films. The storyline is very good and the action sequences are mind-blowing. Examples: The Ice Crystal Scenes and The Destruction of Planet Earth.

The characters such as Cale, Korso, Akima and Preed where really good and interesting. They were so mature and you find yourselves very attached to them, even though there is a lot of betrayal.

I feel sorry that this film didn't do well at the box office. It had so much potential but Fox didn't give it that much support.

Another reason why I like this film is because it is directed by Don Bluth. He has a done an excellent job with this film and how he tried to make a different type of animated film.

This film still remains to be a great science fiction adventure and should have been recognised more.
