Pinocchio (2022)
It's an individual work, So view it as such
I just don't understand why it's getting so low ratings, obviously it's not a masterpiece, but a pretty decent live action adaptation of the classic. It has the same amount of heart to it. Tom Hanks is superb as usual. I really enjoyed this film. Felt for the charecters, thats what good films should do. Yes, it's not unpredictable, it has nothing new to offer, and I don't think it's possible for this source material, coz it's a children febel. Hopefully just like many other films it will gain it's actual place in the future. Visuals are stunning. I really enjoyed the world this film created, its a fantasy world but yet the city streets and everything in it looks so beautiful and realistic. As I said, surely it's not an masterpiece, but a very good adaptation of the source. And you'll like it much better if you don't compare it with the classic one, and view it as an standalone pice.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Super awesome film, but bit let down coz of the 4:3 format...
Ok, without a doubt it's an superb film. This film literally can teach you what actually a good editing can do, it changed the whole film. The theatrical version and this version, studio should have released this version instead of the crappy one. Audience don't care about a long lengthy film if it doesn't feel like one. Anyways one very big complain I have with this film is the 4:3 aspect ratio, I mean why man! We don't want to see letter box format anymore, that's why we bought costly 4k TVs. This format is the biggest let down of this film. This film should have a wide format. Hopefully studio will release a wide screen format some time in the future.
The Boys (2019)
Session 2 is Plain and simple dumb...
The session 1 of this series was really good. The concept was new, it was well written and executed. But, this 2nd session is nothing but, just dumb. They just told the same story of session 1 with just some new gruesome and unwanted violence scenes. And now they're going to tell the same story in session 3 as well. I just don't get it, if they want to destroy homelander and he's kind of indestructible, then they should go into the scientific side of it. Just reverse engineer the compound v and create a antidote for it. That's the only way to take down Vaught. But no one is even talking about it. It's just so dumb.
Dil Bechara (2020)
Judge it on It's Merit...
Please it's a humble request don't mix respect and love for someone with the credibility of a film. Dil Bechara isn't at all a good film, anyone who read the novel and watched the Hollywood adaptation can easily see that. The direction of the film is very very poor. and also the screenwriting and editing. I love Sushants' acting, he was brilliant in his previous films mainly, Kai Po Che, M.S Dhoni, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, Kedarnath, and lastly his masterpiece Sonchiriya, but, sadly in this, which happens to be his last, wasn't at all his best, it's full of overacting, and for that mostly I would like to blame the director for it, coz, he is the one who finally sets the tone of the acting. Having said that, this film isn't going to change our love for Sushant, he left us some great films to cherished.
Dark (2017)
A Mind Turning Sci-fi...
It's the one of the best written sci-fi drama till now. The best part of this series, which I loved the most (apart from the mind blowing writing) is that the whole narrative doesn't try to spoon feed the audience, it relias a lot on the audiences intellect and concentration. It's not a kind of story which you'll understand easily, it requires a certain amount of interaction from its audiences, I really respect that. in conclusion i would just like say that, it's a masterpiece of the modern era.
The Irishman (2019)
A Bit Disappointed
Expected a lot more from Mr. Scorsese, but this film has nothing new to offer except for the climax part, that was really brilliantly written and shot. This film is unnecessarily too much long. I guess watching all the masters in the same frame is the only best thing about the whole film. But too is also the same. we've seen De Niro and Pacino in this kind of role too many times. At the end I won't say that it's a bad film, it's a good film, but the film has nothing new to offer (Except for the climax part) I just loved the climax of the film.
Official Secrets (2019)
A very Powerful Film.....
A very powerful film performed superbly. The screenplay and direction of the film is impeccable.
Joker (2019)
Masterpiece of a broken soul.
Joker is the story of a broken person. A modern day masterpiece in its own write. Without a doubt Joaquin Phoenixs' performance is the main highlight of the film. this film was not at all possible without his brilliant performance. The darkness, the brutality, the poetic justice of this calamatic humanism, it's all part of this film. And obviously i have to say it's a brilliantly written film. According to my opinion as of now, This is the best Origin story of any comic character (Hero/Anti hero, DC/Marvel). This Joker is undoubtedly the masterpiece of DC universe.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
A well Made Jurassic Film which actually made a very strong point.
Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom is the best Jurassic series film after the lost world. The way the film has been treated it was really awesome. Though the storyline is not very different from the lost world, but the treatment and narrative style of that same storyline is quite unique and different in this film. Unlike Jurassic World which was completely similar with the 1st film. In this film we can actually see the dinosaurs as what they actually are, as intelligent animals, just like a huge elephant or a fearsome Tiger, and not just powerful vicious monsters, which we humans used for our own profits. The ending scene of the 1st Act with the Brachiosaurus is very emotionally crafted and it brought tears to my eyes. That one single shot captures the whole inner philosophy of the Jurassic series, Which Ian Malcolm and Alan Grant talked about in the dinner scene of the 1st movie. "Dinosaurs and man, two species separated by sixty-five million years of evolution have just been suddenly thrown back into the mix together. How can we possibly have the slightest idea what to expect?". The emotional relation between Owen Grady and Blue the raptor is the heart of the film.
Yes, I do have to admit that some of the characters are not very well written specially the villains of the film is not very strong and one dimensional. But the inner conflict of the storyline is so, strong that we can easily overlook those small glitches. In a way Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom is a modern Jurassic series film, made for the Modern audiences, with some of the creative decisions which might or might not be appreciated by the fan of the Series, and obviously you should not compare this film with the 1st one, it's a whole different film then the 1st one, with some well place tributeable shots.
Vor (1997)
A Simple Yet Elegant Story
Though the title of the film is "The Thief", in reality, this is not at all the story of one. It's a story of a helpless woman and his newborn son, it's a story about a son who has never seen his father but always wanted to feel the warmth of a father's guidance, it is also a story about a person who is quite habituated to playing with people's trust, does it makes him a bad person? this film poses this question towards its audience but did not answer it. A beautiful story about human emotions and its soul. All the performances are life-like, especially the child actor is the main heart of the film. well directed and photographed as well.
