The Guardians of Justice (2022)
You either get it or you don't
If Robocop met The Justice League and it was directed by Sam Raimi.. under the influence of mushrooms.. super cool And Diamond Dallas Page is the lead! Get past his lack of acting and you think it's maybe just supposed to be that way and just accept it This series for what it is..
Kimi (2022)
Quick Tale of Overcoming
I'm sure it's a genre that's been done a million times, but they are fun when done right. It's easy and fast to watch and gives you a rich fulfillment in the end.
Killerman (2019)
Slow Burn
It's pretty slow for a while and builds to a strong final stand. There is a twist but the story isn't horribly complicated. There are some brutal parts throughout and it helps the slow story.
Zoo (2015)
Entertaining, but..
Every main character lies to one another because of their righteousness of whatever situation and because of that lie All hell breaks loose. Every episode goes exactly like this.
For All Mankind (2019)
A show.. For All Mankind
The series has literally everything in it and it doesn't seem like too much. It's sci-fi, it's drama, it's sexy, it's action fast, it's relaxed, nuanced and paced.. The main actors are as good as it gets and there isn't a reason that someone could not relate to anyone in this show. I didn't even know about it when I signed up for Apple TV, but it would have been a good enough reason to subscribe.
Invincible (2021)
Whoa!!
I knew nothing about this coming into it nor the people involved in making it. It was easy to recognize many of the voices and let's start the off by saying The voice acting was pretty incredible. By the end of the first episode I couldn't believe what I just saw and easily sunk into the rest of it. I knew it was very limited in episodes so I took in just a little bit at a time. And episode here. An episode there. It was better to not take it in all at once. There is a lot to take in! I will end this by saying the show was pretty incredible!
Leverage: Redemption (2021)
The Other Avengers
This was a great show the first time around with a cast that was very believable. Even without the cast the show was a great idea. They're superheroes in a way.. Seemingly doing the impossible every week. It's fun, easily relatable, and not overly complicated. A win for everyone!
Black Summer (2019)
SUSPENCE!!
Every episode puts you on the edge of your seat or shortens your breath. If it were any more suspencful it would be real! Simple storylines and pure acting drive this thriller and most chapters in the episodes have little dialogue. Awesomely done. Better than any other zombie series for my taste. I wasn't a fan of TWD.
Superman & Lois (2021)
Keeps Getting Better
Just all kinds of fun and a much different style than the other DC shows on the same channel. Tyler is really good at this.. definitely came in to his own in this role. Lois is played believably but the kids can steal the show any time.
Rebel (2021)
Katey Rocks!
You can not be taken on a better ride than this story that Katey Sagal crushed from start to end! Every emotion with complicated family dynamics and some legal drama mixed in.. This was one hell of an opening season.
Shrill (2019)
Aidy Bryant is Superb!
During the first episode you realize you are watching something pretty great. I began watching because of Aidy, and I'm a fan of all she has done on SNL including during the pandemic lock down when she was making 5 minute videos for the show. Hers were some of the best ones. After watching the credits of the first episode I realized all the winners that are a making the show and adding to the high quality. It is a winner! Aidy is awesome and love seeing Julia Sweeney and Daniel Stern as her parents.. Blown away.
Debris (2021)
Much better than expected.
I kind of expected this to be something for the Syfy network and thankfully was surprised it was much better. It presents unique plot problems because you the possibilities are infinite when dealing with aliens. The cast is pretty awesome and real. Not some whitewashed Hollywood casting job. It is very much a dramatic sci-fi series that I hope gets a good run.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
A Smart re-engineering have a great franchise
This was a movie worth your ticket price. Every actor gave a credible performance. It kept a good pace throughout and....The John Connor story guff is not that big of a deal because it just isn't. Ed Furlong is the only one that got screwed with This movie release, NOT the viewer. They did well to weave the storylines together and pull them apart at the same time. This is an 8/10 for me, but too many people are not giving a real sci-fi movie a chance. I've watched plenty of bad. This is Damn Good!
The Witcher (2019)
Great Fun
I understand why game sales shot through the roof.
Black Lightning (2018)
Unique addition to the DC lineup
This take on superpowers within a family a man struggling to keep his family and community together is a welcome vision.
See (2019)
I'm in Deep
I'm pretty sure it has everything you need to watch and be entertained and immersed. Mamoa really is a good actor and gets to show that as well as his physical side, which im sure he loves. All the others to great and just watch it!
Time Trap (2017)
Well executed family sci-fi
I wish all low budget sci-fi movies could be this good. The characters are not annoying and believable. A good story that wasn't confusing. Easy to follow and had a pleasant, familiar tone throughout.
The Happytime Murders (2018)
Good Acting. Great Puppeteers
See it for what it is and not what you may think it is trying to be. It is not an edge of your seat thriller but entertaining throughout.
