Get Carter (2000)
Not a good movie...
I'm normally pretty lenient when it comes to films, and even though Crime (Drama) movies are some of my favorites, this one was just too boring and too slow for me.
There was supposedly a story to this movie, but it's such a cookie cutter plot, that even when there is some actual dialogue (it seems as if a lot of this movie is just us watching Sylvester Stallone (somewhat) quietly "investigate") it feels as if they just took a generic script and used mad libs to make it "new".
I don't know why this is described as an Action movie (except for the lack of a real plot, dialogue, etc.), as there aren't actually very many fights or action scenes in this movie and even when there are, they are wholly unspectacular and totally forgettable. This as an action movie is about right up there along side "Look Who's Talking Now"...
To end, if you have the choice of watching this movie late at night, don't, unless you happen to need a non-prescription method of getting to sleep faster.
It Runs in the Family (1994)
A funny movie
A funny movie, while not as good as A Christmas Story, it has it's own silly feel and manages to stay in the same mold as its predecessor. So if you liked A Christmas Story, you'll probably enjoy this one as well, even if you've watched A Christmas Story your entire life :)
George Carlin: Complaints & Grievances (2001)
Worship this comic!
I so rarely nowadays laugh so hard that I feel my body is going to burst apart, but George Carlin has once again done so with this HBO special. He curses like crazy, makes fun of children and their parents and constantly notes the lovely ways he would like to see people die, but also manages to get some points across, that people should make sure to remember.
I can barely wait until the next of his HBO specials, and neither will you after you watch this show.
