It should be: Kung Fu Kid
19 June 2010
Warning: Spoilers
From the previews I knew this movie wasn't going to do justice to the original. I mean, can anything? I wasn't planning on watching it, but my best friend wanted to see it and I gave in. Bad idea. It was a waste of my money.

First and foremost, let us point out what a lot of people have already mentioned. Jayden Smith cannot act. Like, at all. I don't care if he's Will Smith's son, it's not like acting is genetic. He was just trying too hard to be funny, and too hard to be serious. It didn't seem natural, like he was in the moment. Just him... acting. Of course, I can't say the same for Jackie Chan. He didn't do much, and that was good! Not that I don't like Jackie Chan, it's just it's good to see him as a trainer for once. I wish he would have fought more, though.

Secondly, the plot sucked. I mean, it was a bunch of middle-schoolers flying. Like, I get China is a little crazy on the Kung Fu, but come on! The fighting scene where "Dre" is running from the Chinese kids is not that bad of a scene, I'll admit, but it kept occurring to me that these kids are like 10 and 12. Then there's the whole Dre and Chinese girl romance thing. I was falling asleep every time they were together. I mean, you're 12! As someone else on IMDb said, there is no sexual tension! Sure it's family-orientated, but it's uninteresting to the rest.

Then the predictability. The friend who dragged me there told me half of the whole movie, and she's never watched it before. It's so boring sitting there knowing what's going to happen. Of course, he was going to win, of course he was going to run faster. Of course Jackie Chan would save him, like, I didn't even have to watch the whole thing to know what was going to happen.

Also, a lot of the scenes were pointless. I can see why the movie was so long. I can only imagine if they have an extended version! Dre drinking from the Dragon water or whatever, what did that do? I also didn't understand why Jackie was so reluctant to teach Dre at first. I imagined it had something to do with the crazy trainer, but with all the time they had, never developed a true story. Okay, so he got into an accident and killed his wife and kid... I'm sorry? Like, what does that have to really do with anything?

Overall, it wasn't worth watching. Or maybe it's not a movie you'd watch twice, because I sure as hell won't. God forbid they make a sequel.

Its WAS funny..
23 June 2008
It was really funny at first, like every show is. But after.. well.. Josh got skinny it stopped being funny. I mean, he yells so much, he does these stupid hand movements that are as annoying as anything. Drake is plain stupid, and Megan just doesn't know when to quit. The person thats aggravates me the most is, of course, Josh. He's just..UGH. I feel like I want to puke because he's so not funny, his jokes and repeating words have gotten old, and he just goes on and on about crap that nobody cares about. 1/10, thanks to Josh. I don't really mind Drake, although it gets annoying that all he thinks about is girls, and Megan gets annoying that she just can't leave Drake and Josh alone for once.

Are You Serious?
22 June 2008
I'm not going to lie and say I don't watch the show--I do. BUT it has a lot, and a lot of flaws. 1) The Boarding School is perfect. The drama is at a minimum. Everyone is so nice to each other, you know. Lets give that a reality check. Its IMPOSSIBLE that ANY school is perfect like PCA. Free laptops for everyone. Big dorm rooms. Mini fridges. If there was a school like that in real life, almost nobody there would be a virgin for one. Two, everyone there is so rich, and its weird how nobody has anything stolen yet. 2) Characters really unrealistic. First things first, who in they're right minds talk like they do. They talk like a perfect teenager would. Secondly, Logan Reese(Matthew Underwood) is an extremely rich boy "hot" teenage boy. My question is, why isn't almost ever girl in that school all over him? He's rich and "hot" now a days all those girls would be after him, even if he was a jerk. Also, Chase is the most stupidest person ever. He is this shy teenager who claims to not be in love with Zoey, and over-reacts to everything that involves Zoey. She must be BLIND not to see him in love with her.

Come on Nick. I know you can do better than THAT. Please..

Disney... Come On.
27 February 2008
I like Disney Channel and a lot of its shows, so believe me when I tell you it stinks. Not every part of it, just... The magic part of it. Its funny and stuff but when they use magic it looks 100% fake. I mean honestly, Sabrina The Teenage Witch has better magic graphics. The background changes when magic happens and it looks fake. I thought something in 2008 would be better than something that was made in 2001 (Sabrina The Teenage Witch). In conclusion, its a funny show, but they should work on the magic part, A lot. If they do that they can make the show worth watching. Other than that its funny and gives me a chuckle every now and again.
