The Mick: The Night Off (2018)
Written during a writer's strike possibly?
Not sure what happened here. For a show that was consistently funny throughout it's run without being too much of a caricature....this episode seems wildly out of place. Like the crew writing for 'Two and a Half Men' or 'The Big Bang Theory' did a guest script or something. It's bad. And the people who wrote it should feel bad.
Moonfall (2022)
Loud and Exciting. That's it.
I'll never understand how studios continue to green light these massive budget blockbusters....and allow the directors free reign to write the scripts with little outside input. Emmerich is good at filming big, loud sequences. He's not a good writer. The dialogue is often silly. The "jokes" aren't really jokes at all. The characters are caricatures. How does nobody see this? And you may wonder why big disaster movies get panned and lose money at the box office. I don't wonder why. Moonfall is a perfect example.
I'll just say....it's okay for fictitious movies to be unrealistic. That's why a lot of people flock to see these things. It's a whole different situation for the characters and the dialogue to be unrealistic. When the human characters are as unrealistic as the moon being an advanced technology....you've probably written something pretty stupid.
The Office: Customer Survey (2008)
One of the funniest scenes of the entire series
The mock sales exchange between Dwight and Jim is easily one of the funniest scenes of the entire series. Bill Buttlicker? With Dwight and Michael taking the fake call so seriously? I had to rewatch it a few times.
Kong: Skull Island (2017)
Awesome Movie
First off.....the cinematography was fantastic. The visuals are second to none. It's a beautiful movie from start to finish. Also has a great soundtrack. Acting is great. Casting is great (love Cordero being in there). What else needs to be said?
It's a fun action movie. If you expected something better.....Downtown Abbey is probably available on demand.
