The Leftovers (2014)
A Study on Grief
Hands. Down. The. Best. TV. Series. Ever.
Nothing comes close to a TV series which had the balls to take on such a universal subject and to then go on and do it justice. The acting, the writing. The music. All nothing short of brilliant.
Four Lives (2022)
Worst. Acting. Ever.
Stephen Merchant was excellent in what l believe maybe his first serious role. Hopefully he will choose more serious roles in the future.
The same unfortunately cannot be said for the rest of the cast. This is possibly the worst acted show l have ever seen from a BBC production.
Special praise to Sheridan Smith, who l have not watched before, and who's performance, if you could call it that, was truly awful!
Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
Invasive Species
I have created an account specifically to point out the misconception people have for this show/final episode.
Towards the beginning of the series Jonah was watching a documentary. The documentary was about starlings being introduced from the UK to the USA during Victorian times. The documentary pointed out that the invasive species had all but killed the native birds.
The point of this scene was to let the audience know, early on, that the Bryde's (get it?) are the invasive species, and that they are going to kill the local people to support their own needs. Those that spotted this early on pretty much realised Ruth was doomed and therefore the final episode was the perfect ending. Anything else would have been dishonest to the concept of the show. Perhaps overtime those that are annoyed by Ruth's death will have a different appreciation as to what the shows objectives were.
