Little House on the Prairie: The Older Brothers (1983)
The greatest season nine episode by far
Can't believe people think this episode is terrible and boring. It's everything but that! This is one of the most legendary episodes of little house on the prairie and it is definitely the most legendary episode from the last dreadful season. The acting and the humor is on point. The plot and storyline are genius! The characters are iconic and it is most definitely entertaining. Victor French definitely makes the best episodes in little house on the prairie. I remember way back from my childhood watching this episode and loving every moment from it.
If you don't like or enjoy this episode than you have no sense of humor and there is no joy inside of you.
Black Adam (2022)
Tell them the Black Adam sent you...
Black Adam
Is an action packed film with a good cast and some nicely done cgi. The storyline was a pretty common one, the protagonist loses his family and therefore seeks revenge, and then has to deal with his past actions that were fueled by his rage. It wasn't a bad story, but it was typical.
Dwayne Johnson or the Rock was a great pick for the role. I mean who doesn't like the rock? The only thing was, it was hard for me to take him seriously at times when he was being serious.
One thing that didn't make sense was everyone from the country of Kandaq, including Black Adam, knew English. The moment he was released from his tomb, he could speak fluent English.
Dwayne Johnson had a good performance, but I think Aldis Hodge who played Hawkman, and Pierce Brosnan who played Dr Fate had a wonderful performance. The chemistry between Hawkman and Dr Fate was excellent.
I give this film a 6/10 because it had a lot of good qualities to it, and it was fun to watch, but at the same time, it got slow at parts. There were way too much slow motion clips. The humor would get corny at times, and that kid had too much screen time, I got tired of his character, mainly because they tried to make him like Freddy's character from Shazam. It was also very fast paced at the beginning, but it was dragged out near the end at the climax.
Morbius (2022)
Morbius
Get ready for another Sony film focused on a complicated villain who's also a good guy.
This film had some good aspects, such as great visuals, some decent action, a lot of suspense, heart-pounding sound effects, and a great performance by Jared Leto and the rest of the cast.
The overall film was okay, it reminded me a lot of the blade films, but it was much better. Because it actually had a decent story: Dr Morbius spends his entire life to find a cure for his rare illness that he and his best friend have, but when he finally finds the cure with the help of certain bats, he also finds a horrible curse. He has to consume blood every few hours, but of course, he doesn't want to kill anyone at the same time. But the other side of him can't help but to hunt and kill and consume blood.
I'd give this film a 5 because it wasn't good but it wasn't bad, it had some good qualities, but it seemed like a typical storyline about a guy who turns into a vampire, but still, it's the best vampire film I've seen.
Rocky V (1990)
You should've left that bum on the street
Rocky V
Is a big let down from the previous film, Rocky IV, where he fights the Russian in honor of his deceased friend, Apollo Creed. Now in this film, we discover that Rocky has severe brain damage from the fight with Drago, and has to retire from boxing. Meanwhile, Polly throws away all of their money in Russia. Forcing them to move back to where it all started, in the cold streets of Philly.
First off, they kept on making the mistake of getting a new kid to play Robert Balboa in every movie. The film takes place right after the events of the fourth film, but when Rocky gets back, his son all of the sudden becomes a teenager. It was nice to see Sylvester Stallone and his son Sage Stallone act in the same film as father and son, but it didn't fit in with the story.
Secondly, the writing was off, Rocky all of the sudden forgets about his friends death, which just happened a few weeks ago. And instead of focusing on Rocky dealing with the guilt of letting his friend die, they focus on him mourning over Micky's death, who passed away in the third film, and has been deceased for years.
Thirdly, they made a huge mistake by bringing in the most annoying character in any of the films, George, the actor was not good at acting, and he loved to yell everything he said.
Thirdly, their biggest mistake was introducing Tommy Gunn, who Rocky just loves and adores more than his own son. Making Robert want to get his father's attention throughout the film. Tommy goes on to becoming a great boxer, but eventually drops Rocky as his trainer, and becomes partners with George. Robert ends up blowing up at his father, making Rocky realize how he was losing his family. Meanwhile, Tommy becomes the heavyweight champion of the world, but gets jealous because everyone brings the attention back to Rocky. Causing Tommy to go over to the bar, where Rocky's is, and challenge him to a street fight, where Rocky, of course, wins.
Sure, this film had some good qualities about it, and it was nice to see Rocky walking the street of Philly again, alongside his son. But it's just not a worthy Rocky film.
Shazam! (2019)
Say my name so my powers may flow through you
SHAZAM!
An epic joyride throughout.
This film is by far the best thing DC has done with their DCEU so far. It's a big relief from all of the other dark and humorless DC films the past few years.
Zachary Levi owns Shazam, he played the part perfectly. His kid self (Asher Angel), on the other hand, did not match his characteristics. I believe Jack Dylan Grazer should've been Billy. But besides that, the film was amazing.
Mark Strong brings to life Doctor Sivana in a much more intimidating way than how the comics portray him. He made a spectacular villain, his performance makes him one of my favorite DC villains.
Shazam has a good story, a great cast, sweet visuals, lots of humor, well done dialogue between characters and a good amount of action.
I'd highly recommend for the whole family.
Free Guy (2021)
And I'm still...just Guy
Now here's a great Ryan Reynolds film!
Ryan Reynolds is Guy, the mysterious AI character who's been beating all of the online gamers to protect his city, in a highly popular game called Free City. Taika Waititi is Antwan, the greedy villain in the real world, who owns the video game, but wants to destroy guy and his world to get gamers to buy the sequel to the game for the sake of money. But one of his designers for the video game has a lawsuit against him for erasing her original work, she runs into Guy online, and they form this strange digital relationship. They work together to find out what Antwan is hiding.
Free Guy has spectacular humor, cool visuals, distinctive characters, and a compelling story.
This is an explosively fun film to watch, I'd highly recommend.
300 (2006)
You know the line...THIS IS SPARTA!
Which is probably the best part in the film.
Good ol' Zack Snyder got a little too crazy with his green screens. Get ready for shiny yellow skies throughout, unnecessary cgi fields, and eye popping abs.
The visuals were groundbreaking for filmmaking, but they can't stand the test of time.
The visuals were probably really cool for the audience at the time, but it just looks like a video game compared to visuals nowadays.
In order for a film to stand the test of time, it has to be memorable, it has to have a great story and it has to have characters the audience adores.
Not worth paying to see, just look up the "this is Sparta!" Scene on YouTube and your filled in.
The Office (2005)
Kevin's famous chili recipe🥘
The Office
If you're looking for a show that never gets old, that's long and makes you feel good... that's what she said! Well you found it... that's wha-
never mind.
Just watch it.
Red Dawn (1984)
"It's kinda strange isn't it?
How the mountains pay us no attention at all. You laugh or you cry, the wind just keeps on blowing."
Red Dawn💥
A compelling plot. Russian troops fall from the sky and on to a high school football field, where they cause a great panic, and eventually, the small Russian army, takes over the small town in Colorado. Meanwhile, a group of teens find a way to escape to the forest, where they try to wait out, until it's all over. But nothing has changed for a couple of months, and they find themselves faced with the decision to take the fight to them, though they are few in number.
The film is fairly realistic, it shows what it would be like if it happened to America one day.
Good acting, okay camera work, lots of fire power, good number of explosions and a cool film experience👍. I'd definitely recommend.
The Batman (2022)
What is black and blue, and dead all over?
The Batman
Not a great Batman film, but a good one. It was not as good as the Dark Knight trilogy, but it's definitely better than the rest. The greatest thing about the film was how they made it to actually be a detective movie. Which is what DC stands for, Detective Comics. The acting was flawless, Robert Pattinson played the role well, the Riddler was creepy and great, up until he actually showed his face, he just turned comical after that. I wish they showed more of Alfred, he was only in like 3 scenes. It was very well made, it had an eerie feel that is suitable for Gotham, there were cool visuals and memorable lines.
The biggest disappointment for me was how he was trying to solve what the Riddler was up to, throughout the movie, but there was never a moment where all of the pieces came together. It kinda dragged in the middle, the story was all over the place, and the climax wasn't worthy for a 3 hour movie.
Terminator Genisys (2015)
Why was this even made???
Who's bright idea was it to scrap what happened in the previous films, go back in time to the first film but have Asian T-1000 as the Terminator, replace the original cast with actors that don't even look like the old cast, and to make John Conner the villain? If the Terminator movies are caught in a time loop of trying to save John Conner so that he can save mankind... how come he becomes a terminator and dies right after he sends his Dad to go save his Mom... What's the point? The only reason people went to see this was because Arnold Schwarzenegger was in it. And he's the only reason why I don't give this film a 1.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Why?..Why?...and WHY??????
I went to the theaters to give this movie a chance and all I could think was: "why?"
Brie Larson should have never gotten the role in the first place. They could've picked someone better.
And after all of the questions and theories on how Nick Fury lost his eye...an alien cat randomly scratches his eye out as he's petting it... "brilliant!"
She has no struggle fighting the villain in the film. What makes an action film great is the ending victory, when the hero struggles to win. But she has no struggle fighting, she just flies through a bunch of ships in a heartbeat and just blasts her ex-mentor and that's it. I wouldn't even call that a climax.
And how does she even get her name? What is she the Captain of?? Certainly not marvel.
Tombstone (1993)
The greatest western of all time
The acting, the action and the suspense of this film makes it very enjoyable to watch. Val Kilmer gives his best performance as the sickly, yet deadly Doc Holiday. Director George P. Cosmatos shows how a western is done. This film is the most iconic western since The Good The Bad And The Ugly and has iconic lines you'll remember for the rest of your life.
World War Z (2013)
Suspenseful
The film had great suspense, but the zombies looked like they were from a video game. The way they were five times faster and stronger than a human was dumb... that's not a zombie... that's a vampire.
And the ending leaves you hanging, especially since they never made another film.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
Better than the original
There are few remakes that are better than the original. This film took the idea of the world of jumanji and made it a whole lot more fun! It had an awesome cast. Good humor. Great action.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
A beautiful end to a beautiful trilogy
The epic conclusion to the Lord of the Rings! Frodo and Sam are faced with much more challenging obstacles and they need each other more than ever. The forces of Mordor have grown, while the forces of man are shrinking. The only hope for mankind, elves, dwarves, Hobbits and good itself are two of the most unlikely creatures.
Aragorn hasn't felt worthy of taking the throne of Gonder, he does not trust himself with power and has been an outcast his whole life. He has been on the road, seeking wisdom and trying to do what's right. But now is the time for him to return home, when the kingdom needs him now more than ever.
The films have gotten darker and darker as they've reached closer to Mordor. This was as accurate to the book as the film could get. Everyone in this film, had character development, it had a Beautiful soundtrack, amazing visuals, a perfect story, and an outstanding cast. This is the greatest project and journey in cinema history! It well deserved 11 Oscars!
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)
The best one in the franchise!
The IMF is no more, leaving Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) to rely on his wits and friends. We see Ethan's character development throughout the film while he faces his greatest challenge yet. It introduces many new gadgets and new characters such as William Brandt (Jeremy Renner) and Jane Carter (Paula Paton). There's Good humor, an interesting dialogue, a beautiful soundtrack and Great suspense. Ethan is faced with another impossible mission, of course, and so he takes matters into his own hands and for the first, he leads the IMF! This is hands down the greatest Impossible Mission!
Gone with the Wind (1939)
I was bored out of my mind
I spent 4 hours watching a spoiled girl constantly whining. I get that that was the spoiled girl's character for the film, but she was the most annoying character in Cinematic history. Rhett should've never had anything to with her. The film was great with visuals for the time period and it was great at showing what the civil war was like. Sure this film was really popular when it was released, but I just don't get why people love this movie so much.
The Patriot (2000)
An awesome film in every way!
Some films are good in only in some parts, but this film was great throughout. It may have not been historically accurate, but it's a true piece of cinema. The acting was on point, the visuals were fantastic, a beautiful soundtrack and great action! It shows how war can effect people, it shows how a man can be haunted by what he's done in the past, and it shows the importance of family and freedom.
