Stargate SG-1: Window of Opportunity (2000)
Groundhog Day meets SG-1
I'm a big Stargate fan and I like every episode, but this is probably one of the best.
In this episode colonel O'Neill and Teal'c are trapped in a time loop and they have to relive the same day over and over.
O'Neill always brings humor into every episode but this episode is extremely funny.
Some of the funniest moments: Teal'c and O'Neill playing golf through the Stargate, O'Neill riding with a bike in the base, O'Neill kissing Carter in front of everybody.
I recommend everybody to see this particular episode. Even if you are not a big science fiction fan you will be able to laugh with this episode.
My rating: 10/10
P.S.: I hope that they make many more great seasons of SG-1.
You, Me and Dupree (2006)
Good comedy
Carl Peterson(Matt Dillon) and Molly Peterson(Kate Hudson) have just gotten married and think they can start having a great life together. But then Carl's best friend Dupree(Owen Wilson) has just lost his job and needs a place to live.
Carl offers Dupree to stay at his house for a few days until Dupree finds a job and moves out. Dupree however is not able to find a job and turns the lives of Carl and his wife into a living hell.
Dupree sleeps naked on their couch, orders HBO without asking permission, changes the message on their answering machine and even burns down the living room.
But Dupree is not the only problem for Carl. His father-in-law(Michael Douglas), who is also his boss makes his marriage difficult by asking Carl to changes his name and get a vasectomy.
You,Me and Dupree is in my opinion a very good comedy movie with an excellent cast. I particularly liked Micheal Douglas as the overprotecting father-in-law. The best scene in the movie is where Dupree is being chased by Paco the security guard, that's a hilarious scene.
I recommend this movie to everybody who likes a good comedy and to Owen Wilson fans.

The Da Vinci Code (2006)
Nice but the book was better
At the film festival in Cannes the critics destroyed this movie. I personally think that they are wrong.
The Da Vinci Code movie is not as good as I expected but its quiet nice. I read the book a few months before the movie came in theaters and was truly amazed. The book was very exciting, filled with action and suspense. So of course I could not wait for the movie to come out. I went to see the movie in its opening weekend at my local movie theater.
The movie turned out to be a nice action/thriller but was not as exciting as the book. The book explained every detail and the movie rushed through all the facts. Those facts are quiet important to understand the whole story. The Da Vinci Code has got a magnificent cast. Tom Hanks really looks like what I imagined of Robert Langdon and Ian McKellen does a great job as Sir Leigh Teabing.
I recommend everybody to see this movie.
My rating: 8/10
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)
Entertaining
My Super Ex-Girlfriend is an entertaining movie no more no less.
The story is quiet simple. Matt Saunders(Luke Wilson) meets Jenny(Uma Thurman) on the subway and hooks up with her. In the beginning of their relationship everything seems to be OK, but then Matt finds out that she's G-Girl. At first that seems really cool to Matt but it turns out that G-Girl is very jealous and needy. So he decides to break up with her and hook up with his colleague Hannah(Anna Faris). This makes G-Girl very mad and she starts to avenge herself on her former boyfriend.
What I liked most in the movie are the scenes where G-Girl avenges herself on Matt. It was also nice to see Anna Faris in another role then her character from the Scary Movie saga.
I give this movie a 7 out of 10 and recommend it to anybody who likes a nice comedy.
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006)
Best comedy movie of 2006
I've seen quiet a few comedy movies this year, but Borat is definitely the greatest one.
Borat is a fictional reporter from Kazachstan who makes a documentary about the "US and A". He goes there with his producer Azamat Bagatov. Borat wants to learn about the American ways. Borat try's to learn the American ways on his trip by taking interviews and meeting with all kinds of people(a group of feminists, a humor coach, a driving instructor, a car dealer and much more). These interviews are hilarious, you will not be able to stop laughing. He also makes a stop at a rodeo show to sing the national anthem(you can imagine what that results in). There is also a scene where Borat and his producer fight in their hotel while they are completely naked that will go down in comedy history.
Borat is extremely politically incorrect, racist, macho, antisemitic and FUNNY AS HELL.
I give this movie a 10 and recommend everybody to go and see this movie.
Gone Fishin' (1997)
Its OK
This movie is not a big thing. Its just a regular comedy with a simple story. It has got good actors like Danny Glover and Joe Pesci. They do a good job playing the two fishermen Gus Green and Joe Waters. But everybody knows that both of them can do better. This movie is basically a story of two ordinary guys who face extraordinary situations. Like their car being stolen by a con artist, causing a fire in a hotel and fighting with a crocodile.
This movie will bring some entertainment on a boring evening. You will have some laughs and be able to kill some time. However buying this movie is not a good idea, go rent it. If you saw it once its enough.
7/10
If you really want to see a good movie with Danny Glover and Joe Pesci then watch "Lethal Weapon 2". Joe Pesci is great in that movie.
