Adeline (2022)
Terrible representation of autism
I don't have a child with autism but if I did I would be insulted by the ignorance of the writers/producers. Autism is not a disease to be cured. It can be treated and managed and helped, including with methods like working with animals, but it's not a sickness to be cured.
And I don't suppose they went into this expecting to get any Oscars for acting (and I didn't watch it expecting any Oscar worthy acting), but couldn't they have found a better child actor for the autistic character?
Was just hoping for a little feelgood, Heartland type vibes, but the movie didn't produce, unfortunately. I liked the female actors though.
Girl Meets Farm (2018)
Unbearable
If I had to spend time with this "woman" (who smirks and talks like an immature middle-schooler) I'd be running for the toilet to stick my fingers down my throat after two minutes.
