Super Fuzz (1980)
5/10
Yeah, I saw this on HBO in the Eighties. I Wish I left it that Way.
19 March 2003
This was an HBO classic that I first saw when I was about 7 years old back in 1985. I loved the concept of a super powered cop at the time, and the name, Super Fuzz, was just really cool sounding to a 7 year old boy. I remember pretending to be Super Fuzz and when I saw red I would fall down just like the famous chase scene.

This is great for what it is, a ridiculous cop B-movie that apparently kids from the eighties who had HBO will love and have fond memories from. However, the acting is horrible, and the story is barely there. In the end, prepare to be disappointed and have a small chunk of your childhood ruined. I re-watched it and realized I ruined the innocence of that 7 year old boy. Do yourself a favor. Don't re-watch it if you liked it once upon a time, and if you are just now watching it, then you probably are going to hate it, especially if you were born after 1982. Good Luck!

The Regular Guy Says: "This Movie Has Everything"
15 January 2003
This movie is incredible. I don't really know anyone who hasn't seen it, but I'm sure those people exist. Really, this has Sci-Fi, Comedy, Action, Drama, everything. This is Michael J Fox at his best! All I can say is 10 out of 10 and Buy the DVD too. Back to the Future brings all the 80's kitsch and combines it with all the fantasy that you want out of a movie that makes you a happier person after watching it. The casting in this movie is iconic. I couldn't imagine Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly, because of Fox's performance, but now I would like to see it just to know. I truly think that BTTF can change people's lives and impact their outlooks. Oh yeah, did I say this was good?

Am i Black Enough?
7 December 2001
This is a great blaxploitation film of 1970, this movie includes witty humor, obviously fake stunts, words spoken that don't match lips, beautiful women, gun wielding cops, a cheating preacha, a dumb white cop, Red Foxx as a junk dealer(pre-Sanford and Son), by the way, just wait for his postcard, This movie is one of my favorites, some great moments of humor from the junkie half way through the film. Check this one out

I'm never gonna tell you how disappointed I was

Warning: Spoilers
this movie was pretty lame overall. big buildup in the preview to not much of a movie that i haven't already seen with Michael Douglas. basically its just bits of the game, fatal attraction, traffic, basic instinct, romancing the stone, jewel of the nile, falling down, disclosure, all without the sex and nudity. *spoiler*It got me intrigued at first with Jennifer esposito, who wasn't even necessary it turns out, except saving michael douglas's life and basically brittney's too. it just fell flat, too bad, cause i wanted to like it.

This movie was Bad, Real Bad and I'm a Christian who liked the books
7 February 2001
I have read all the books that are out in the left behind series, and I generally like them. ALthough, I think they are stretching the series out now to make a buck, and I think that is kinda wrong, considering the purpose in the first place. Anyway, The Movie Left Behind stinks. Like others have said. 1980s special effects. These might have been good in 83, but all the star wars ones are still better. The dialogue is so cheesy. The actors are awful, Brad Johnson couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. Kirk Cameron is the best, but he is miscast big time. Too young and inexperienced looking to be the big shot, he is supposed to be. Continuity errors abound. I wanted to like this movie soo bad, but its trash. It just makes Christians look dumb and money-grubbing by putting out generic. A good plot can still make a movie good, even if you do not have a big budget. Heck, Gary Busey has been in some christian movies, Gary Busey would have made this movie better. Its ridiculous to put this movie on video, then a couple of months later put it in theatre. For my sake in being a Christian, please remove this movie from the theatre and stick it in the 50 cent section at your local grocery store.

Why Didn't I see this in the Theater and Tps Reports
15 September 2000
Peter, What's Happenning. I LOVE THIS MOVIE! This movie is not only the single most hilarious movie I've seen this year, but now has become one of my all-time favorite comedies. If you have ever worked in an office, you can relate to practically ever single character in this movie, and if you have not worked in an office, you still will laugh your butt off at messed up people in this movie, from Samir to Michael to Peter to Brian to Drew"o-Face" to Milton to Lawerence all the way to the King Bill Lumbergh(portrayed by Gary Cole) who is one of the all-time great guys to really hate in a comedy. I cannot say good enough things about this movie, It is a Mike Judge movie, the guy that did Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill, I do not like those shows, but I Love this movie. alright, now go rent it tonight. That would be Great, thankssss

Not Much Ado about it and I know why
22 March 2000
This movie, although directed by the Farrely brothers and has Alec Baldwin, George Wendt and a solid young cast, is barely known outside the local Blockbuster. It had a brief stay in the theatre. I thought this would be good, for i love dumb and dumber, Kingpin, and Something About Mary, but this movie is lacking big time in plot and it gets lost several times in the middle and kinda flounders. It doesn't know if it wants to be a teen comedy or a Teen Afterschool special. This movie does not lack in teen drug use, which most of this movie is really. You didn't miss anything if you missed this in theatre. If you are a huge fan of the Farrely brothers, see it, If not skip it!!

The Godfather (1972)

One of the Greatest stories ever told!
11 February 2000
What could I possibly say that has not been said about the Godfather that has not already been said because there has not been a better film. There has been comparable films in my opinion but it is in that elite class. No other movie could excite me thinking about it, like this one, The character studies were amazing, Some of the greatest characters ever. The direction, score was Amazing. Al Pacino secured his place in history thanks to this movie, a Perfect 10, whoever said this movie was bad, I don't see how anyone could respect their opinions about anything.

A Legend in his own time
10 January 2000
Chris Farley was a legend. How a person could not find him funny I cannot imagine, truthfully, his skits and movies, even the worse of them(almost heros) are still funny enough to watch, just because of his presence. I miss him every time I say "JackSquat" or "Yapper" or if i hear Loverboy or hear the chippendales mentioned I think of Chris. He was a guy who made everyone laugh and although this movie doesn't have all the great skits, It does have quite a few ones that really show off his comedic skills, My personal favorite is the hidden Camera one, Great facial expressions!! Chris Farley is a guy I will emulate the rest of my life. Chris, Thanks for the time you gave us and thanks for the classic moments!!

One of the Great ones, Forget the Movie Scholars
29 October 1999
Is this not just one of those movies when you first watch it that you are dying laughing and crying and you can't control yourself, I don't understand why people totally dismiss this movie, It has classic lines, classic moments, classic scenes of Comedy. Sure its no Godfather, On the waterfront, or Casablanca, but I don't think that's what they had in mind, I think they wanted a movie that will turn people into laughing convulsions and that is what it accomplished, for those who didn't like it. Loosen up, take off your tie, take off your shoes, have a seat on the couch, kick back and prepare to laugh.

I'M SO HAPPY, I'M CRYING
17 September 1999
THIS MOVIE IS HILARIOUS!!! To not rate this up there at least in the 7s is injustice to this non stop comedic battle between two geniuses in Michael Caine and Steve Martin, this movie is definitely one of my all time favorite comedies.
