That's correct. The big bird from FX hit comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Kaitlin Olson will switch gears to become a detective!
Aside from Always Sunny, Olson is known for her way too short-lived comedy, The Mick.
During TV upfront week, ABC announced that High Potential is one of the network's two dramas slated for this fall.
On Olson's side will be her detective partner, Daniel Sunjata.
Sunjata is known for his roles as Paul Briggs on Graceland and Franco Rivera on Rescue Me.
The procedural is based on the popular French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel.
High Potential is written by Drew Goddard, who serves as an executive producer with Sarah Esberg for Goddard Textiles.
Rob Thomas serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Dan Etheridge, Pierre Laugier, Anthony Lancret, and Jean Nainchrik.
Alethea Jones is the director and executive producer. Olson serves as producer.

Who are the most significant influences on your musical life and career as a composer? A great film or TV score is most potent as an artform when it reinforces the emotion on screen, but it also knows when music is not needed. What strategies do you employ to get this balance right? These were some of the topics discussed by four top TV composers when they joined Gold Derby’s special “Meet the Experts” Q&a event with 2024 awards contenders: Julia Newman (“Feud: Capote vs. the Swans”), Sherri Chung (“Based on a True Story”), David Fleming (“Mr. and Mrs. Smith”) and Nami Melumad (“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”). The CW used to be the ideal network for soapy teen dramas, sci-fi vampires and werewolf series, and DC superhero shows.
Now, it's a disappointing shell of those days.
The Vampire Diaries premiered back in 2009 and led to two additional spinoffs, while DC's Arrow began in 2012 and also began a massive franchise.
The CW used to include soapy dramas or sci-fi series, such as Supernatural, which launched Jared Padalecki's career.
The CW has only four original series left, and Superman & Lois will air its final season in the fall.
All American and All American: Homecoming are all on the bubble, while Walker was canceled. It seems like The CW has changed its' identity, and it's not favorable.
We long to return to those glory days when The CW ruled TV fandoms.

The Arrowverse has always been a place of different possibilities no matter how bizarre they may seem. Each hero had their own standing and story to tell. While some ended on a bittersweet note, others found their footing in one way or another. Each story went down its own path with either major or minor crossovers taking place from time to time.

Stephen Amell played the role of Oliver Queen a.k.a Arrow in the CW’s Arrow. The project spawned the Arrowverse which included shows such as The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl, among others. However, Amell’s Arrow was the one that started it all and has an enduring legacy as it introduced many DC characters to the mainstream.
While the show ended in 2020 after eight seasons, creator Marc Guggenheim reportedly had a different idea for the ending of the series. Guggenheim mentioned that while he always intended for Oliver Queen to die in the series, he wanted him to be a legendary presence, inspiring other vigilantes in the DC universe including Batman.

Arrow laid the foundation for a sprawling interconnected universe of DC characters, with many iconic heroes and villains from the comics making the jump to the small screen. While the series featured several members of the Suicide Squad, one crucial character from the group remained absent despite Arrow‘s eight-season tenure.
Despite being teased Harley Quinn did not appear on Arrow.
Initially, an appearance from Harley Quinn was teased in the show’s early season, but a full appearance never materialized. In an interview, actress Willa Holland, who played the titular character’s sister in Arrow, revealed that there were plans for Harley Quinn to appear, which never came to fruition. The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths was the Arrowverse's sixth crossover event and aired across five parts from December 2019 - January 2020.
The story played out across episodes of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, and featured plenty of fan-pleasing cameos. Those included Kevin Conroy as a live-action Batman, Brandon Routh's return as Superman, and Ezra Miller as The Flash (simpler times).
While it was made on a TV budget, Crisis on Infinite Earths received plenty of praise and delivered a much stronger take on the classic comic book story than this year's poorly-received animated movies.
Talking on his personal blog, Arrowverse architect Marc Guggenheim reflected on the event and confirmed there were once plans for the five-part story to receive a theatrical release.

Actor Grant Gustin wore the Flash suit for nine years as he starred as the titular character in The CW’s The Flash. A part of the Arrowverse series of TV shows, The Flash saw Barry Allen become the scarlet speedster after being struck by lightning in Central City. The series sees him fight various antagonists and also find the killer of his mother.
Though he was grateful for getting the opportunity to play the character, Gustin reportedly suffered while putting on the costume for the show. The Flash costume included a red one-piece suit and a face mask that covered most of his face. The actor mentioned how tough it was to get in and out of the suit and how he used to spend hours in the suit while filming.

To many Batman fans, the ultimate version of the character on the screen was the voice interpretation by the late Kevin Conroy. Conroy played Batman in numerous adaptations, but it all started with Batman: The Animated Series, arguably the best animated series in history. Conroy passed away in 2022 due to cancer and his last performance as The Dark Knight will be in Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three, which is a posthumous appearance that will once again reunite Conroy’s Batman with Mark Hamill’s Joker.
Although Conroy actually got the chance to appear as a live-action version of Batman in the Batwoman episode “Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two,” which was part of a major Arrowverse crossover, he was supposed to make another live-action appearance in the canceled one-season show, Gotham Knights, according to the series’ showrunners.

Love or hate the Arrowverse, there's no denying that Tom Cavanagh's performance as the Reverse-Flash was hard to find fault with. As the years passed, The Flash diluted the character by having the actor play multiple versions of "Harrison Wells." However, in the suit, Cavanagh proved himself a truly formidable villain.
His story ended in the Scarlet Speedster's series, but we can look forward to at least one final appearance from the actor in the DC Universe.
Superman & Lois will conclude with its fourth and final season later this year, and unlike Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman, the show's creative team have received enough notice to craft what we hope will be a satisfying ending.
The question now is, will that ending include an appearance from Eobard Thawne?

The New Sherlock Holmes In Sherlock & Daughter Series (Picture Credit: Facebook)
Many people worldwide are waiting for an update on Sherlock Season 5. The British mystery crime series stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in the lead roles. The last season was premiered in 2017. Many have come to acceptance that there won’t be a fifth season. Well, chances are that’s true. But The CW has announced a spin-off series titled Sherlock & Daughter, which might excite the fans of the fictional detective.
As reported by Deadline, the series will have Sherlock, a young girl named Amelia, as his daughter and even Moriarty. So it’s not going to be a melodramatic father-daughter series.
The premise will be about a young American girl, Amelia, arriving in London after her mother’s murder. She learns that her father is a famous detective. Big news for fans of All American and Walker!
The CW announced its spring slate of shows today, and both series will be returning to our screens sooner than expected.
All American is the CW's most-watched show, so it was no surprise that the announcement began with an update on the network's popular football drama.
The saga of star wide receiver Spencer James is set to return for its sixth season on April 1.
Today's announcement did not provide any details about the new season's plot, but it did confirm All American's status as the network’s #1 series among Adults 18-49, the most watched series on digital, and had the largest total audience across all platforms.
So yeah, execs might be even more excited about the return of All American than the show's fans are.
As for the rest of the spring slate -- well, there's plenty to be excited about there,...

Stephen Amell is suiting up. The actor will lead NBC’s upcoming “Suits” spinoff, “Suits: LA,” portraying Ted Black, “a charismatic force of nature who puts his own needs above others.”
“Suits,” which was produced by UCP, aired on USA Network from 2011-2019, spanning nine seasons. The series, which starred Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty, re-entered the conversation in 2023 as it began streaming on Netflix, topping their charts for multiple weeks. It has surpassed 45 billion minutes streamed on Netflix and Peacock combined.
Earlier this month, the spinoff landed a pilot order at NBC, with production set to start in March in Vancouver. The new drama, created by original creator Aaron Korsch, will follow a new group led by Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor who built an L.A. law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law.

You won’t need the Max streaming service to stream DC content anymore. Variety reports that Tubi has struck a deal with Warner Bros. What was once touted as a brave, new era of streaming is starting to feel ... a little stale and familiar these days. Hot on the heels of Paramount's bizarre choice to rebrand the prestige cable network Showtime as Paramount+ with Showtime, likely made in a sweaty attempt to goose subscription numbers for a fledgling streaming service, yet another questionable decision from a major studio has come down from the highest levels. And this time, it involves sending brand-name DC movies to another streaming service.
According to a new report by Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery and Fox-owned Tubi have reached an agreement to send several DC movies and shows to the ad-supported streaming service for the new year. This means that major titles such as "The Batman," both "Wonder Woman" movies, "Aquaman," "Black Adam," "Birds of Prey," and even 2011's "Green Lantern" will join series like "Batwoman," "Gotham," and "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman...

Yes, it has been suggested that the Arrowverse first took flight with Arrow‘s own October 2012 premiere. But truly, it was 14 months later, on Dec. 4, 2013 — when Barry Allen aka the would-be Flash first set foot in Starling City — that TV’s expanded DC universe started to take shape.
This is where I remind you that when The CW gave a series about Green Arrow a green light, the notion of eventually introducing other standalone hero series was but a gleam in anybody’s eye.

Tyler Hoechlin in ‘Superman & Lois’
The CW’s confirmed that Superman & Lois starring Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) will wrap up with the upcoming fourth season. The superhero action series was the last remaining holdout from The CW’s old comic-book-inspired primetime lineup that included Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Supergirl, Batwoman, Stargirl, and Gotham Knights.
Season four will consist of just 10 episodes and is expected to air in 2024.
“While we’re sad to say goodbye to Superman & Lois at the end of Season Four, we’re grateful for the time we’ve had with our amazing cast, crew, vfx teams, editors, musical geniuses, and writers. Since the day this show was first discussed, it was about family. And that’s what was created—on and off screen,” stated executive producers and co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher.”

Candice Patton bagged over 10 award nominations for her stellar depiction of Iris West on The CW series The Flash. Interestingly, she has played the role in four other series, including Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman. In addition to notable television projects she has appeared in, Patton has starred in a couple of films such as The Craigslist Killer (2011), Commander and Chief (2012), and The Guest (2014). 10 years after her debut, she ranked 5th on TV’s 100 Sexiest Women list by BuddyTV. Patton also took the 61st position on the Maxim Hot 100 list in 2015. Growing up...

The Flash arrived on the CW as an antidote to the heavy, bleak world of Arrow. Our Scarlet Speedster was going to be a bright, upbeat superhero series and it was—at first. With each successive season, it grew bleaker and more chaotic as an overstuffed cast all demanded screentime and the writing staff never seemed to grasp that there were other villains than those connected to the Speed Force.
The 2022-23 television season brought us The Flash’s ninth and final season, providing a chance to give closure to the core characters. Tomorrow, Warner Home Entertainment releases The Flash: The Complete Ninth and Final Season.
Across the truncated season, everyone had a moment to shine, get their due, take a bow and move aside so the Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Nora West Allen (Candice Patton) center got to have the last word as they finally welcomed Nora to the preset.

DC Studios needs a hero; many heroes in fact. And James Gunn is in the process of picking them. Since taking up the mantle of DC Studios co-ceo with Peter Safran in October of last year, “The Suicide Squad” writer/director has been steadily assembling a new cast of actors to replace the Justice League once led by Henry Cavill’s Superman. David Corenswet earned the honor of suiting up as Clark Kent in “Superman: Legacy” (not yet filming), opposite Rachel Brosnahan who is taking up the part of Lois Lane — last played by Amy Adams on film and Elizabeth Tulloch on TV.
The news that Cavill would not return to the DC Extended Universe upset plenty of fans, particularly as it came on the heels of his departure from Netflix’s “The Witcher.” The future of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman remains unclear (more on that below), but last...

Sullivan’s Crossing is one of The CW’s new Canadian imports for its fall schedule.
The series, which stars Chad Michael Murray, has already been renewed for a second season by Canadian broadcaster CTV and The CW.
It comes after The CW picked up the first season in April with plans to launch it at 8pm on Wednesdays on its fall schedule and will also air season two.
The series became the highest-rated Canadian drama launch in over two years on CTV. Production on season two will start later this year in Nova Scotia.
The series stars Batwoman’s Morgan Kohan as a star neurosurgeon who appears to have it all until her business partner is indicted for fraud and she finds herself charged with negligence. She leaves Boston to return to her home of Sullivan’s Crossing, a remote campground by her estranged father Sully, played by Gilmore Girls Scott Patterson.
