Sex & Nudity
-
- A man gives oral sex to a topless pregnant woman (her breasts are briefly seen). This is the only explicitly sexual scene in the show.
- Fully nudity of woman clear, genitalia hard to discern.
Violence & Gore
-
- Several execution style murders, including stabbings, shootings, burning people alive, beatings, and a particularly disturbing scene depicting a man being crushed with a sledgehammer. All of the violence is on screen with very little editing around the details. Many other shootouts, bombings, and fights take place, almost every episode. These often end in bloody/sometimes very gory results (often with innocent victims).
- Torture of prisoners, mostly by soldiers is implied, but only shown by sound and aftermath.
Profanity
-
- Pervasive language throughout.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- The plot concerns a large cocaine shipment from Mexico to Italy. Chris and some of his family members are seen smoking marijuana, presumably medicinal, for Chris' Huntington's disease. Chris is seen regularly taking a prescription medication, probably for control of his symptoms.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The show's consistently uneasy and dark atmosphere may be too intense for some viewers.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Frightening and intense scenes throughout the series, many characters die very suddenly, "Jump-scare" like action sometimes. Overall a very bleak and VERY intense show. People die with little remorse and you often feel the weight and consequences of the violence.
