James Wan's recent sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, marked the end of what came to be known as the Dceu era, and as we head towards James Gunn and Peter Safran's Dcu relaunch, we've decided to rank all 15 movies in the franchise.
Warner Bros.' attempt to establish a shared movie universe in the same vein as The MCU began with Man of Steel in 2013, and despite some bright spots and box office successes along the way, most would agree that it never really took flight - at least not to the level DC fans were hoping for.

It’s a great testament to an actor when they can take a character who murders a pregnant woman in the opening scene, and make them human, and dare I say, likeable. But when it comes to British actor Aml Ameen, that’s hardly a surprise, as the talented performer’s career continues to go from strength to strength.
To mark the release of the aforementioned, dark thriller Dead Shot, we had the pleasure in speaking to Ameen via Zoom, as we speak about the challenges in playing a role of this nature, and the fulfillment of working with a complex, nuanced protagonist. He also talks about his directing career and his ambitions post-Boxing Day, while we speak about a rather big role he has coming up, playing Martin Luther King Jr in Rustin.

Dead Shot is a film directed by Charles and Thomas Guard. It stars Colin Morgan and Aml Ameen and features the always grateful presence of Mark Strong.
A film that takes itself quite seriously in a revenge romp with political undertones in Ireland.
Dead Shot Storyline
In the 1970s, a member of the Ira takes over an Active Service Unit in London after his wife is accidentally shot dead in Ireland. The unit’s mission is to cause chaos and destruction, while his personal aim is to hunt down his wife’s killer — an Sas captain, who is also hunting him.
Movie Review
A good opportunity to revisit the thriller genre with a well-constructed cinematic flavor and with intention, characters and a whole story to tell. It has a lot of style thanks to the setting and the climate of instability in which the plot is framed.

There’s a crunchy veracity to the script for this evocative story of two men on opposing sides of the Northern Ireland conflict
The recent 25th anniversary of the Good Friday agreement underscored how much the Troubles, and those many years of bloodshed, have receded into historical memory. With the wounds less raw, it’s easier to mine the period for drama spiked with high-stakes violence and leavened with moral conundrums about justice, loyalty and political expediency. Belfast-born novelist and screenwriter Ronan Bennett is just the right man to map out this terrain. It’s not just his having roots in the region that helps, but also his longtime involvement in British crime drama, from Face back in 1997 through TV series Top Boy, to historical mini-series Gunpowder about the Guy Fawkes plot.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Episode 3
Like the classic episodes “The Naked Time” or “The Deadly Years,” Strange New Worlds has entered into Star Trek-storytelling mode all about a weird alien virus sweeping the ship. From The Next Generation to Deep Space 9 and beyond, every Trek show needs an episode like this, and in “Ghosts of Illyria,” we get a great one. When a virus that’s transmitted by light starts to make everyone lose it, it’s up to Number One to sort everything out.
“Ghosts of Illyria,” is, arguably, the first big episode to feature Rebecca Romijn’s Una Chin-Riley as the focus of the story. And as such, we get a lot of references to previous moments in Trek canon, many of which directly connect to her backstory, and La’an’s backstory, too. Here’s every...

Indie Horror Month 2022: Looking Back at the Making of Borderland with Director/Co-Writer Zev Berman
Middle-Earth had come to Minneapolis. There was no doubt about that. Standing in line for Sean Astin’s autograph at Wizard World in 2014, I could see reminders of Peter Jackson’s epic J.R.R. Tolkien adaptations all around me. Everyone else in the long line seemed to be clutching action figures, photographs, and posters featuring Samwise and his Fellowship friends, with the Lord of the Rings celebration interrupted only by the occasional The Goonies or Rudy memorabilia.
As the line inched closer to Astin’s table, I decided that I could safely presume I was one of only a few people without Lord of the Rings memorabilia to be autographed, and I was most likely—okay, very likely—the only one in line holding a DVD copy of the 2007 horror film Borderland to get signed by the beloved actor.
It’s not that I wasn’t a Lord of the Rings...

Star Trek Picard is, unsurprisingly, an absolutely treasure trove of continuity and easter eggs. Sometimes that’s fun, like when Seven of Nine silences the same bus punk that Spock did in Star Trek IV, and sometimes it’s baffling, such as when Guinan mysteriously de-ages and forgets Picard existed some time between the 19th and 21st centuries, or Picard’s Hallucination Dad adding a bunch of unnecessary backstory while gloating he kept his hair (despite the fact we already know he didn’t).
