- Abandoned by Cornetta and Abortion Deb, Hortense reluctantly asks Lillian and Beatrice to assist her in a meteorological experiment which she hopes and suspects will garner her some scientific fame. It's not the possibility of fame that make both Lillian and Beatrice agree to help Hortense, but something associated with the experiment that would fulfill the one matching item on both their bucket lists. That one item has the potential to tear all three sisters apart. Something with the experiment doesn't go quite according to plan, that unexpected turn which requires the sisters to ask for further help in the form of Hamish, whose assistance has the further potential to make matters even more complicated. Meanwhile, Dodo searches for something to replace morphine in her life, it which she is no longer injecting. That replacement, the association to which is the replacement "high", is to take a one day inner harbor voyage on the "high" sea, she taking Peepers along to attend to any menial tasks. Much like the meteorological experiment, the voyage doesn't go quite according to plan. Dodo ends up making a request in the face of death which has the potential to change the face of Bellacourt Manor forever.—Huggo
